First hike of 2025 folks. Sunrise or sunset hikes guys?
Wow. Fantastic conditions and light 👍🙂👌
@@stigfloberghagenphotography thank you Stig mate 👍 . A great sunrise on one mountain top and a winter wonderland on the next one.
@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors 🙂👍❄️
@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors Looking forward to it
Good start to the year for yas lads, nice hike 👍
@@alanlyness8413 cheers Alan, good day out to kick start the year 👍
Nice one well done 👏
@@Shaneoutdoors1971 cheers Shane, great start for the year 👍
Lovely 😍😎👌
@@maxinebriggs8102 great morning out Maxine. It has a wee touch of everything.
@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors definitely was, perfect 😊
Awesome video mate, the views are breathtaking! Well done for smashing that mate. Really enjoyed this!
@@Roam.Outdoors cheers mate. It was good to be back out again. Hoping for a camp this weekend 🤞. It’s nice when the sun is out but it can be hard work in the frosty weather.
Nice one matey . Brilliant colours at the top
@@jamesoutandaboutn.i227 Cheers James. Lovely start to the day, unfortunately nothing on the summit of Slievenaglogh but it was very crisp.
@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors brilliant mate. Good start to the year
Class mate great video
@@Hikingjoe383 cheers Joe, lovely morning to be out, a bit a mixed bag after Moolieve.
Smashing sunrise and views Geoff. I'd say the extra distance was dodging bogs on Slievenaglough 😂
@@ExploreAboveAndBelow morning Morgan. Lovely morning catching some sunrise. Yea there was some bog dodging done that morning 😂, but now we know what to expect from it. Where you out camping last night?
@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors I was indeed, think it was my last chance to get out in the snow.
@ you never know, might get another batch in February/March time. At least you’ve got put in some for a camp
If I manage to get out for half as many hikes as you this year I'll be a happy man. You got so many class shots, it looked like a great morning to be out. I'm definitely going to have to get more hikes in this year
@@RamblingOn Hi Jason. We try to get out for one a week but I’ll be honest I’d rather have the camping but unfortunately the wife would have something to say if I done that every week 😂. You know yourself nothing beats a good hike around the hills, especially on a morning like this, it had a wee touch of everything. Cheers for watching mate 👍
Nice video, a good day to bring the kids to silent valley is when they have the NI Water Family Day, we'd quite often do the show there for them.
@@babcockandbobbins cheers mate, I must look the dates up for that I think they would love it up in around there 👍. Ps my eldest was fascinated by your juggling on hen mountain 🏔️
What a beautiful morning. Wow, looks incredible.
@@stanettiels7367 it was a cracking morning and a great start to the year. A bit of a mixture of everything there. Cheers for watching 👍
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors
Cheers for the video 👍🏻.

What a view.
@@stanettiels7367 it was lovely, first time I had been over that side, nice part of the Mourne Mountains
Nice 1 . Some trek there m8 👌
@@adventurousdavee cheers Dave, good to get some miles in and of course scout out some potential camping spots ⛺️
Sunrise for me, least you have daylight on your side. Chest pod good for some pocket munching and hiding them from your bro. 😂 Socks should do well, just watch how you wash them.
Great hike, looks super steep in bits. All the best 👍
@@cowalexplorer morning Fraser, I’d tend to agree about the sunrise. Hahaha oh his big claw hand will dip in eventually 😂. Yea good call about the socks, I’ve hand washed these and let them drip dry basically. Some parts of that second summit was bad enough coming down but I’m not a fan of coming down mountains anyway. Cheers for watching mate 👍
Great vid again G-Man. I understand the slog of bogs but great satisfaction at the top. We were heading for hills today Slievenaglogh and Corragh but not great weather and low clag. So reassess and Tipp Wood up into Tollymore and neck the lunch we made for the hills. Oh well. Take care man. Rab
@@robertmccrea1957 Cheers Rab, yea it was a slippery walk up to Slievenaglogh but great when you get up eventually. Aye it’s not great morning to be at anything to be honest. I do hope to get out somewhere, can’t be sitting in the house 😂
@ high water at min so beach is out. Sometimes a morning like this a dander through Donard Wood then into town for a coffee or if I stay out too long…. O’Hares for a pint in front of fire and watch Liverpool!!
@ sounds good especially that fire on ohares, big pint of Guinness and the football on 👍
@ perfect mate except game is 💩 lol
@ good day for the pub 🍻
Well done Geoff, great to see you both out in the Mournes testing yourselves and the conditions. Tough going when the paths aren't great though Silent Valley looked awesome. How did you find the socks? I got a pair 6 months ago and haven't used them yet but I know other hikers really like them. All the best, Ashley
@@ashleyjarnold Morning Ashley 👍. It was a lovely morning but at some point you are going to cross bog land. The socks are really good, this might sound weird but took a hike or two to get used with, they don’t feel like socks but definitely worth it for the dry feet. Silent valley was class, first time I had been down that way.
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors I'm going to try them next time out - they were £30!!
@ definitely Ashley, worth a go. Luckily enough I got them as a Christmas present because I’d begrudge paying £30 for a pair of socks that my would go missing after one wash 😂
Another great video keep up the good work mate do you no where you could do hot tent camping over here plz
@@leemcilhatton7841 cheers Lee. Mate I had toyed with the idea of a hot tent but this put me off cause I think you might struggle for places. Have you got a hot tent?
@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors yes I got the promoly hot tent
@ nice one, whats it like? Have you been out in it?
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors yes been out in it few times and time you get you kit set up I think they are a good job
@ definitely looks a great tent, I must look into one cause I think it would be a game changer.
