Mam you said Mercaptoethanol use to break non covalent bonds to maintain primary structure but actually Mercaptoethanol is use to break disulfide bond which is an covalent bond . can you just explain if i am wrong?

Ma'am apne to yeha pe do bar B marcaptoethanol ka Function bol chuka hay one is breaking of non covalant bond of protein & breaking of disulfide bonds ,
But actually the function is the second one.
