Hoskinson has promised 1 million tps with hydra for years. It was one of his biggest marketing gimmicks. Now it's become clear it will never happen, so instead he shows you his 300 transactions in each block which he did only accomplished by increasing block size, just like Bitcoin Cash did. It isn't a solution to anything. Cardano is the biggest nothing in crypto.

I no longer believe that Hydra will function in a way that zkSync and other L2s are scaling. In my view, it is not even clear what kind of use cases will be solved by Hydra state channels.
This and other videos are part of a valuable dialogue about blockchain functionality in general and Cardano's in particular. I haven't closely followed what the critics/trolls have said about Hydra's supposed shortcomings and failures, mainly because they seldom/never offer thought out critiques. There's never any depth to it. Someone with an axe to grind makes something up, or emphasizes one metric in isolation from a constellation of relevant metrics, and through repetition that becomes an enduring (false) narrative. But the truth will prevail one way or the other.

Learning that hydra can process that many events per transaction is crazy. It exponentially increases the throughput because its not a 1:1 ratio. 1000 tps with multiple events per transaction increases the true throughput by a massive margin. It makes the raw throughput multiplicative which is a vast advantage against other blockchains running 10000 tps at a 1:1 ratio

Pushing through 1000 single transactions per second is fine and dandy, but what if you can push through 1000 transactions in a single transaction per second? You'd only need ONE transaction per second to match the other method. The method of TPT is the future of moving data.

The longer I see the advancements in ADA, the more convinced I am that this is a top contender in the crypto space that will dominate a least in the next decade (if not longer).

What a load of crap. Cardano did nothing except increase the block size, just like bitcoincash. Hoskinson was forced to do this because Cardano was so feeble and couldn't handle basic network traffic.
