    I've had a wonderful time going to so many Moody Blues concerts that I can't count. What a great band. If you've never seen them in person performing Nights in White Satin with a full orchestra, you've really missed out. ❤

      One of the most understated and under-rated guitarists in Rock.

    I have loved the Moodies since 1967. Their music is timeless, and never grows old. Thank you for all the years of wonderful songs.

    I saw the Moody Blues a few times starting back in '79. Sometimes it's time to let it go. They had a great run and that's that.

    That run of albums from Days to Seventh is just incredible. Saw them in 05. Record quality show. So sonic and on point. Took way too damn long to get in the hall.

    It wouldn't be the Moodies with only the two, but maybe the Bluejays. I'm thankful was able to see them so many times. They were fabulous each time.

    The thing about this is, now you've got Justin on his own, playing Moodies songs; you've got John on his own, playing Moodies songs. How is that more legit that Justin and John together, with supporting players, doing the same songs?

    • @MohsinWadee
      @MohsinWadee Місяць тому +5

      It's legit because Justin is not calling his gig The Moody Blues, and neither is John. And if either did that it would be a fraud. They're both entitled to play songs they've written, both within and outside of The Moody Blues.
      Justin is correct IMHO, Pinder was long gone, but without Graeme you just cannot call it The Moody Blues, it would be Blue Jays with a new can of worms opening.

    • @caz3502
      @caz3502 Місяць тому +2

      Justin has been composing his own songs for years. He does sing some that he wrote whilst with the Moodies but he has produced more than 6 albums as a solo artist. His gig is mostly made up of his solo songs so your statement is incorrect

    Saw them in '81 and then in 2016. I was amazed at how good they were both times! Graham Edge was funny and a quality drummer. The 2016 band was great and the female additions played and sang really well. I can't think of a more captivating voice than Justin.

    The biggest hit of Moody Blues in Brazil was "Talking out of Turn"- it used to play on the radio all the time. It´s so stange knowing that it wasn´t a hit in England or EUA

    Saw John lodge in Poughkeepsie on Monday night, I’ve been a fan since 1967 ! The show couldn’t have been better complete DOFP and assorted moody songs . Would be nice to see Justin and John together but probably not happening 🕉

    Really enjoy the Moodies' classic late 60s and early 70s albums which I have only purchased on vinyl for the first time in the last couple of years. "Nights In White Satin" will remain a long-time classic.

    Please try to score an interview with Patrick Moraz.

  • @drmorqWarrenProject
    @drmorqWarrenProject 2 місяці тому +2

    ,Moratz was NOT a part of the classic lineup... Mike Pinder was the keyboard player.

    • @NYCOPERAFAN
      @NYCOPERAFAN 2 місяці тому

      Very true, without Pinder there was nothing "classic" or unique about them.

    • @MohsinWadee
      @MohsinWadee Місяць тому

      @@NYCOPERAFAN Pinder left, he wasn't fired. So let's not talk about a 'classic' lineup. Yes there were the 'core' 7 albums with Mike, but Moraz was with the band even a bit longer than Pinder. And whether you like the albums or not, he was a key participant on LDV, TOSOL, Sur La Mer - all very successful albums. And The Present as well, albeit not commercially so successful.
      Also take note, after Octave, and before Patrick arrived, it was Justin, John, Ray and Graham who had decided to change musical direction. This Moraz bashing is getting stale and boring.

    • @pjg58x
      @pjg58x Місяць тому

      Mike Pinder was absolutely vital to the Moody Blues classic sound. Without his mellotron you wonder what the Moodies would have sounded like in their classic years. Would they have been as successful. Such a shame when he decided to leave.
      I didn’t care as much for their more electronic/synth sound in the 80s. I liked a lot of their songs but the feel of the band had changed. Instead of being a real group effort it was more the John and Justin show.
      Funny that the Octave album wasn’t mentioned.
