Sonic CD: Wacky Workbench's Statue Easter Egg (Sega CD Version)

Here's my approach to observing this Easter Egg, with smooth transitions between Wacky Workbench's time frames. Read the annotations as they appear if you can.

6/23/17 UPDATE: Happy 26th Birthday to Sonic! If you can't see the annotations, just follow the video and what I say below:
There's a certain spot in Wacky Workbench Act 1 that will change depending on the time frame you're in. First, I get to that spot in the Present, then I show off that spot in the Good Future. As you can see in the video, both of these time frames have nothing to show.
However, when I go into the Past and the Bad Future, things get interesting. After showing the Good Future, I show off the same spot in the Past. It's now opened up where Sonic can reach a hidden room with old bricks and a green angel statue. This statue will release a fountain of Rings from her hand when you get close to her.
In the Bad Future, this secret spot changes. It has instead a golden Eggman statue that you can destroy. Doing so will cause a bunch of bombs to rain down in the spot, but you can easily dodge them even though I didn't do so in this video.

Turns out that finding the angel statue gives you an achievement in the HD XBL/PSN/Steam port of the game. It's called "Statue Savior".
From what I'm seeing, trying to get to it is different in those ports than in this original Sega CD version. Unfortunately I don't have that HD port yet, so I wouldn't know unless I checked someone else's video and started comparing them.
