Why is Pakistani and Indian diaspora in Canada different from each other?

Nice analysis but this does not reflect the clear picture ! Most of the Pakistanis here come from the elite or upper class sections from Pakistan! They mostly sell their houses (especially the DHA houses) and all other properties in Pakistan to permanently settle here, so they bring in a lot of cash and wealth! On the contrary, most Indians you see here come from the middle class backgrounds in india! They come on the basis of merits either on study , work or direct permanent residency! Most of them build their wealth here and gradually set up some business here!
I have spoken to many Pakistanis in Mississauga and Vaughan, most of them wanted to just wrap up things and leave Pakistan at any cost! That's why you see most of them buy houses as soon as they land here!
Pakistanis students find it hard to secure student loans back home, hence , coming here is mostly a rich man's thing!
Another fun fact is most uber drivers in Toronto / GTA are either Pakistani or Arabs, even indians but not according to the ratio you mentioned !

I have found not much difference in the demographics between Indians and Pakistanis. Rich class Pakistan or India don’t have any incentive to settle in Canada . At the most they will set up a couple of businesses and bring in their countrymen to work for them before leaving to India or Pakistan to enjoy their life with numerous servants in their service. Pakistanis like Indians are also mostly middle class in similar professions.

Your suggestion is a good one. However, exporting goods from Pakistan to Canada is only worth it if the prices are competitive. So, some pakistani businesses in Canada do import goods from Pakistan. However, the size is relatively small.
