I used to live in South Florida and there were Haitians & Cubans floating up on the beaches all the time. The Haitians that rented a house in my neighborhood would wash dishes in the yard, poop in the bathtub and then put a piece of plywood over top of it so it could be used to sleep on (toilet was clogged with diapers). There were 15 adults and several children all living in a 1200sqft house. The garbage pick up fees were paid in the property tax bill, but the Haitians would pile up their trash in one corner of their yard and it became rat and roach infested, not to mention the smell. The landlord didn't care because the Government was paying him top dollar to let them live there.

They pulled all my teeth to get rid of a staph infection, and almost 4 years later, I still don't have teeth that fit correctly. Definetly cats. Those are much to large to be rats. The largest rat ever recorded was in papua new guinea and was recorded at over 3 pounds. I highly doubt there are 3 pound rats in new York city and those "rats" she is cooking would look to be atleast 5 pounds roughly if alive.
