I thought there would be a random German guy that appears in the end wearing shorts and a tank top. That would be pretty accurate 😂

Thank you! I didn't know some of these items even existed. Moving from the Caribbean to Cologne, Germany next year. Grew up in So California. This is soo helpful.

Hi! I am visiting Frankfurt and Berlin in the last two weeks of November. Do I have to wear all of this to keep warm? Or is your attire post mid December? Thank you :)

It depends a lot on what you're from and what you are used to. This was around December 8, if that helps. But also weather/temperature keeps fluctuating each year. If you are used to dressing in a certain way at freezing, then just know that you may want an extra bit of warmth or to take a layer away.

I think you do NOT need to dress so bulky. I would suggest just 1 thermal underwear that you can get from any Uniqlo shop (body top and legging)and then 1 fine wool pullover (thin and soft will do: f.e kashmir if you have one, if it has a high collar to cover your neck would be perfect) and a thick warm jacket covering your butt. If the jacket is thinner then you can have a kashmir or fine wool cardigan. Scarf is not necessary if your neck is already coveved by your pollover. Just zip your jacket up high. At last wool tall socks. Again they don't need to be that tall plus ANY comfy shoes that is anti water and soft wool socks (no need to be bulky) then a wool blend trouser or any warm trouser (fleece etc). As about glove, walking in the middle of the city, if you got pockets you dont need them, just put your hand in your pocket. Most German do this (I for one). The ones dressing so thick and bulky clothing in the city are just children and unfashionable ppl. Just my opinion though. Layering (thin but warm stuff) will be good for your luggage as well as it is easier to open them in restaurants or shops. A very thick wool pullover wont be suitable as well as is not really fashionable.

@@vrenews Thank you for the tips! Do you think a puffer/padded jacket is necessary? Or is a warm jacket with layers underneath be enough?

Hi going to Munich and Hamburg in November should I bring my semi heavy coat or a heavy sweatshirt? Not sure how to dress hence I get hot easily 😂Ty

Layers are always a good idea! Personally, I'd go for the semi-heavy coat. But also depends on the beginning or end of the month. If you get hot easily, though, I'd go with the layers with the sweatshirt. But always be prepared for rain, too.

@@aWanderlustForLife hi I’ll be In Munich from Nov 6th till the 11th and Hamburg from November 11th till the 17th does it usually Rain a lot during that period ? And I’m assuming to bring an umbrella but should I bring one Every single day🙄🤷🏼‍♀️?
I’m hoping it won’t snow too much but I’d rather have the snow then the rain
Yes I’ll bring the semi heavy coat with a sweatshirt hopefully it won’t be below 45 Fer
And I’m assuming Germany goes by the REAL FEEL not the actual temperature sorry if that makes no sense 🤣🤣in America it’s like that Go figure

It's really hard to tell. I'd see if you can find a chart of what it was like last year to help you determine this. I wouldn't expect it every day. But honestly, weather is pretty unpredictable recently.

Thank you for answering. How do you manage the layers when going inside (eg a heated cafe or restaurant) and outside which is like 3 degrees or is everyone just sweating inside? :D

I travelled to Germany and your video really helped. It was quite cold outside and had it not been for the information it would have been pretty uncomfortable. Thank you! I am travelling Mid September to Germany this year. What kind of clothing do you recommend? :)

Ok then I'll buy my boots and jacket 2 size larger. With all that it won't fir😂❤

Definitely! In temps where you'll be really cold you should account for layers under your jacket. I didn't even think about that until I was trying on jackets and realized that while wearing a sweater I need a bigger size.
