This is a huge project for me personally to customize the #gundam #exia #dark #matter as I do feel that this kit is underappreciated and I want to do it justice. With that said, I have only customized the leg at this point cause it is such a complicated process it would be impossible to try to fit everything in 1 single video. With the leg, I've modified the shape of some parts like the foot, the ankle flap, the knee, and the upper thigh. Also, I've added pla plates all over, and scribed in new patterns for the legs. Lastly, I've also added a new shin skirt at the back of the leg as well to complete the look.

Also glad you detailed how you made the feet and knees. I got the china Star Destroyer but really feel like dark matter needs to have the pointed parts. I may also try changing proportions for the first time. I've done a couple of resin kits and HOPE I can do as well as yours.
*Side note* Just got the Gaahleri Studio G airbrush, and I'm loving it.
Props again to building this from scratch. Most people would just buy the resin kit, now I'm not so intimidated to at least attempt making feet and knees from scratch!

Contouring, reshaping, scribbing, craving, and glue process take time and effort. But the result is worth-it, if it run well. As we know shit always happend.
hi i've seen most of the video so far is all about outlooks of the gundam itself. i wonder if u want take a suggestion from me to make yourself more interesting content in the video. Make a functional parts for the Gundam . Something like not a perfect grade to become perfect. Example parts that don't move but now move. Cheers.

The leg is heavily modified yes, but 600 hours for the whole project? You mean you worked for 60 days straight 10 hours a day on this model? That can't be viable. If you were to sell this as a custom model at 50 buck an hour for labor costs (and that's low I guess) that's 30.000 for a kit... I think your maths is off or you are counting sleep in it as well 😜
I dont know if ive said this here before or not but im going to anyway.
PLEASE wear a mask when sanding something, even wet sanding. I knew someone that used to work on Gunpla a lot, it was their main hobby and something they loved doing.
You will notice im saying all of that in the past tense. This is because the resin and plastic dust got to be too much for his lungs and after being in the hobby for so long he lost nearly all of his lung function and is now permanently on oxygen because of it. He can no longer work on gunpla, cant even paint them.
Please at least wear a simple N95 mask.
