- The International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague on Monday opens a week of hearings on the legal consequences of Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories, with more than 50 states due to address the judges.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki will speak first in the legal proceedings.
In 2022, the UN General Assembly asked the court for an advisory, or non-binding, opinion on the occupation.
The hearings will be held until February 26, after that the judges are expected to take several months to deliberate before issuing an advisory opinion.
Amongst countries scheduled to participate in the hearings are the United States - Israel's strongest backer, China, Russia, South Africa and Egypt. Israel will not participate, although it has sent written observations.
For too long Palestinians have suffered under Israel regime. Now is the time to take action to protect Palestinians.

Israelis and their supporters are experts on moving the goalposts, both physically and politically. They are constantly rewriting the meaning of what constitutes antisemitism and what does not. They have a seperate organization setup called IHRA or, International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Founded in 1998 to oversee cases of antisemitism around the world. As of the 7th. October they have been feverish in their plans to place criticizing the government of Israel along side criticizing Jews in general, ie. An act of antisemitism.

Egypt has built a huge tall wall i think over 300 metres. So if they leave their hell they will not be able to come back in future. Also because of the previous nakba (catastrophy) those that were kicked out in 1948 cpuld not comeback. Many still hold the keys of their homes but they cannot come back.
Also if egypt or jordan takes refugees they will be found to be a partner to gino side. If you take people that are not allowed back and are denied to return ypu could be prosecuted for taking part in a gino side.

Technically, their decision is binding, but it still has to go through the UN security council, and the US can and will block enforcement of any action towards Israel.
I can't remember if it was 2002 or 2004, ICJ ruled that Israel's wall in occupied Palestine was illegal. It was "advisory". The decision was taken to the security council. Guess what? Vetoed.
