- City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works sanitation workers in white hazardous materials suits, with Clean Harbors hazardous waste management, clean-up homeless encampments at Hampton Drive in Venice on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Los Angeles Police Officers were on site to provide security.

Those homeless got more crap than the normal person
Letting people drag stuff off to set it back up down the street .defeats the clean up purpose all together. police should not let these clowns drag off one thing. they had time to grab stuff. they were warned. Oh hell no
Because we can't force them into shelter, which is THE problem with all of this. Shelter needs to be mandatory, not a choice.
Exactly. Hurts to watch this. Just grabbing crap to move past the yellow tape. There is so much junk the two who have it csnt even deal with it all. But the fools will clean that street and think it's a progress. Homeless are pawns in a govt scheme

I don't know if i feel sorry for the homeless still. They violate laws and they make a mess out of the environment. You clean it up and one hour later they're back like ants on a piece of cake.

They really need to pass laws to mandate people into shelters who are living on the street. Living on the city streets should not even be a option.

Many of these people don't want to abide by shelter rules. You can't physically drag someone kicking and screaming into a shelter and force them to stay there.

I was homeless, I didn't accumulate everything what only had what I could carry myself and kept moving everyday, I know some have mental issues but DANG they Makin it everyone else's problem 😕

It’s like they always clean the same street every week or so, like those homeless people are always starting problems around the block.
Is the guy with the tattoos and Volkswagen bus still around?? He helped get new tents for the homeless.
The positive thing is with oil going up per barrel, it will cost too much to buy a tent or any plastics. Maybe we can carve our own wooden bowls and containers. I need to get a life and stop thinking too much.

Dude talking about “Someone is going to take a hit on payroll”. Sir, you’re homeless and I don’t think you have a job. So it won’t be you taking the hit.
Weren’t they just on this street doing the same thing right before the Super Bowl? And they’re back already? Told you then it wouldn’t last long. They just take their stuff around the corner and wait for everything to get cleaned up and people to leave, then they go right back. Nothing changes.

Over 8 months cleaning the Gold's Gym STREET. On the other side of Gold's even worse. OUT MEANS OUT. But they should be stationed near the LA CITY HALL. Good things will happened for them, there.
Maybe the city has to block off that street so they can't get through and people who go to that gym there needs to be just one entry way to the gym.

All of these people are physically fit, they pick up and drag their belongings all over the place. They have cell phones, bicycles and dogs for pets so they are not without resources. They could work if they wanted to, so why are they living on the street? There are all kinds of housing and agencies to assist them but they refuse to accept help because the help comes with rules! These street tents and houses should not be permitted in the first place. The tents along with thier belongings should be removed immediately without their permission or consent then they would be forced to get employment and live like normal people. The politicians and agencies in charge are much too liberal and permit this illegal activity to continue. The liberal politicians in charge should be voted out of office. It is obvious the current rules and regulations are not working, unfortunately the local citizens, community and taxpayers are the ones suffering!
One hour later it looks just the same. Stupid is as stupid does. Doing same thing over and over while expecting different results. Nothing more than a money churn.

No. The population keeps growing, and the wealth gap keeps enlarging. Albert Schweitzer once said something to the effect that humankind will eventually self-destruct. Sociopaths seek out power, whether financial or political, and then when you add ego to the mix it's a foregone conclusion.
Instead of wasting money on clean up every week, you could start a program for homeless ti help the city clean up, and they can earn money by doing so.. And build a freaking living complex where they can live, that would be even cheaper for the city in the long run, and think about the publicity folk's 🤷
Keep doing this, will be a never ending circle, and a load on the society around the problem...

Some of these guys have got more shelving and clothes for a months worth. Dragging it around don’t make sense.
