    To be fair, the A-Spec is more in line with the 330i M Sport. As the owner of the 21 A-Spec, I regard consideration of upgrading to the 24 A-Spec in the same way I considered moving from my iPhone 14 Pro to the 15 Pro: just not enough of an update to warrant moving to a newer version.

    • @TheBreakfastLover
      @TheBreakfastLover 10 місяців тому +8

      And an optioned 330i xDrive M-sport is actually more expensive than a TLX Type S, let alone the A-spec.

      @@TheBreakfastLover as a fully optioned IS350 F-Sport is also priced similarly, that’s where the Type S has an advantage. Really only the G70 3.3T can undercut the Type S as a performance value in this segment.

      @@MidnightAspeccorrect, the IS350 F-sport 3 pack is equivalently optioned and same price as a TLX Type S. And performance wise, the TLX Type S actually beat the G70 twin-turbo at Car & Driver's Lightning Lap.

    Literally last week i got my 23’ Acura TLX A-spec stolen from in front of my house over night smfh. I only had that beautiful car for a course of 6 months. Prior to this video I wasn’t aware of the ‘24 model being already up for sale! I’m considering getting the same vehicle again but idk i might go back to the ‘23 model the exterior on the ‘23 looks much more intriguing from the grill to the wheels. I must add there was a lot of things on the TLX that also is making me reconsider. I only had managed to get 16 MPG city on my TLX & to be honest due to the fact it was a 4 CYL it sucked! Add the fact they take 93 only. This color is super nice! I might have to see it in person in order to consider it a little more! Definitely going to get one again that’s for sure. And for all you Acura owners i highly recommend you to get an anti theft device for these beautiful vehicles if they’re not being parked in a garage or secure driveways. Acuralink is going on 7 days trying to locate my vehicle and still no luck!!! I’ve already came to the conclusion is gone!! Thank you for the review buddy!!

    I really like the '24 Acura TLX A-Spec. My problem is that I don't quite love it. There are just too many compromises. The rear seat room is lacking to say the least. The fuel economy is average at best. The fact that no 4 cylinder TLX model offers an HUD or rain sensing wipers is a let down. The Type S does offer those features at a significantly higher entry price yet the gas mileage on the Type S is downright horrendous. And why is it that no version of the TLX offers heated rear seats? I get rain sensing wipers, HUD and heated rear seats on my '21 Accord Touring 2.0T, which happens to be faster than the 4 cylinder TLX simply because the TLX is so heavy, at almost 500lbs heavier than my Accord. However, the TLX is gorgeous to me. I love the styling and I love the color combination of the one featured in this video. I wish Acura had not done away with the Advance, (Elite in Canada), trim package. I may end up buying one anyway once it's time for me to replace my Accord but not anytime in the near future. If Honda hadn't discontinued the 2.0T option in the Accord, the TLX wouldn't even be on my radar but the 204hp hybrid engine in the Accord isn't going to cut it for me. Really like this TLX A-Spec, just don't totally love it.

    I purchased the 2024 in same color but charcoal interior. I preferred the red/black Alcantara as shown but this one was the only TLX on the lot and prior to it's arrival at the dealership, they had and sold the only one on the lot and housed in the showroom: a pearl white one with the interior shown here. Searching for another one seamed nearly pointless. And trying to find a Type S presented as nearly impossible. The two dealerships in Michigan that I frequent, never have them on the lot. Only the Integra. But I'm okay with my interior. My 2019 is a red A-SPEC A-SR SH-AWD and my wife's 2022 black ILX A-SPEC has the red and black Alcantara interior.
    Anytime you have updates, you're to make some people upset and make others happy. I preferred the true analog gauges of the 2023 but the exhaust finishers and larger center console screen of the 2024. Another reason that I sort of rushed to get the 2024. The 2025 has a touch screen instead of a track pad control screen. And as much as I don't like it but know how to operate it, I absolutely despise a touch screen! You have to continuously clean them if you want to maintain that showroom gleam. Also, I won't tear up (right) my rotator cuff trying to newly program it to my likings. The touch screen set up, of which is borrowed from the Honda parts bin, is too generic. They only did it because of the multitude of loyalists complaints of the track pad's learning curve. It's too bad they couldn't have made it like BMW's i-Drive center console knob control or brought back the large center control knob like the one I had in my 2010 TL SH-AWD 6MT. (Overall, it was the best ever Acura ever built!)

    I just test drove this on Friday. I thought it was nice but in Alberta it would get banged up pretty good. I drove the RDX A-Type and it’s the same price I was going that way. But I drove over to Honda and left with a 2025 Honda Passport Trailhawk in blue. Coming from a truck the Acura seemed delicate in nature. Beautiful vehicles though. If I lived somewhere where there was no snow or rocks flying around I might have gone for, this model. I thought it was plenty powerful and it handles Edmontons roads with ease.

    I have a 2018 Acura TLX A-Spec and I absolutely love it. As much as I like the new more sporty look of the 2024, there are a few things I find inferior about the new model.
    First the engine, it's a downgrade. Ill take my NA 3.5 producing 290HP over the Turbocharged 2.0 producing 272. Regarding fuel efficiency, Yes it drinks in the city however on highway road trips my last record is an easy 7.5 litres / 100km
    I also like analogue gauges. Simply not a fan of digital dashes.
    The 2024 obviously has nicer tech inside. I had a loaner RDX and liked the wireless charging, wireless android auto and the laptop style touch control over the rotating wheel.
    All in all, Acura makes amazing cars. Tho I am sad that the Integra is stupidly priced. I wish they made 1 Acura that is obtainable by everyone, such as a manual 6 speed base integra with a 1.5T or a base 2.0 for an obtainable price.

    I have been waiting since 2015 for Acura to be progressive with the TLX and they continue to fail on many fronts. Missing features and that stupid touchpad are just not acceptable in this price range. That red leather, are you kidding me?? The hue is awful and there is just way too much. Where is the touchscreen? I dont really care how much they may get right, they make decisions that are clearly not for customers but for their engineers who likely dont even drive an Acura. Maybe 2025.

    IMO… the infotainment is an annoyance! The car is two tons, pay attention on the road! All this garbage forces the prices up!

    Overpriced, very bad infotainment system, no touchscreen, harsh ride quality, acura always overestimate the gas mileage. Just skip this and pay for the m340i, s5, or c43!
    It is just not worth it.
