Bode isn't a sith lord, he's just a former Jedi. The reason he has a red lightsaber is he's using Dagan's because Bode didn't have his own

Cal using the dark side is so good and it makes sense, he was not betrayed by people he trusted and lost his master, he was betrayed and lost his master twice, between that and his obsession with Tanalor and his fears, this is Fantastic character development
By the way, the first ones were the Clones, Cal trust them, and you know the rest

Oh my god I just realised Bode intentionally left the tracking beacon active so that Cal could follow him to Nova Garon where Vader would have sent Purge Troopers to go after Bode himself.
The last 3 hours of the game were so extremely good.
Andrew not using his super throughout the entire final sequence bugged me a lot more than it should've

Funnily enough mine did the opposite when I played, visible sadness and concern to pure excitement at going darkside
Dude my jaw was on the floor for the entire last act of this game.
From the moment that betrayal happens all the way to the end, it was just full throttle.
I find Cal has a lot of odd similarities to Quinlan Vos...

When cal was about to kill denvik in front of Merrin I said "do it" in the best Palpatine voice I can possibly do over and over till he didn't kill denvik

Merrin saving cal gives me the hope that cal will never let her go and be with her always since she was the one person to pull him form the darkness

Also I’m thinking that cal could be the cannon version of legend Luke skywalker since a lot of the stuff he does almost mirrors him in that way

That could be true it can go either way at this point in time,
Don't use fanfiction as a source. Letting go is good. Merrin cannot be the sole reason Cal is "sober" he has to be able to do it himself.

The fort tent thing with the pillows is probably his daughter's doing, I used to do that a lot as a kid.

The story during this and the last episode, and for the rest of the game, is what took a great game and made it amazing. They really did something special here IMO, fantastic storytelling.
When Cal said "I understand betrayal", I wonder if he was referring to when the clones turned against the Jedi during Order 66. Also, Bode is a former Jedi, not a Sith Lord. That red lightsaber he wields is actually Dagan Gera's because he took if off him while Cal wasn't looking.
The Clones didn't betray the Jedi willingly. As for Bode, he CHOSE to betray Cal and his friends.
@@tython055 Cal doesn't know that though it's not public knowledge. Only the Bad Batch and Rex and Ashoka know about the chips. Not even Kenobi knows he just felt bad for the veteran Clone wasting away because despite the betrayal they were once brothers in arms.

@@tython055 That doesn't matter...The Clones did betray him and his master. From his pov they did so willingly. It's an immense betrayal that defined his entire life going forward. Then even if he knew the truth it doesn't matter that the Clones didn't have a choice the Jedi Order was still betrayed by Sheev, Anakin and the Republic. Either way one looks at it the first betrayal is indeed the event of Order 66.
@@flamesofchaos13 Call it whatever you want. Still doesn't change the fact that the Clones are victims as much as the Jedi were. Expendable tools to Palpatine and his plan to rule the galaxy.
I mean, you did technically steal Danvik's clothes, but I guess it would have ruined the moment a bit if he came running out there in the hangar, armed with only a little blaster and the immense power of his fashionable imperial stapled undies.

At 13:34 when Cal says "so its" true the music changes to show how cal is getting into his emotions
This game should be a contender for game of the year because of the massive twist alone.
I mean this is a Cal Kestis who’s spent years with Saw Gurerras aggressive war tactics. Saw isn’t known for taking prisoners.
After all he goes through in this game it makes sense that he’s facing the dark side and I actually admire Cal so much for openly talking about how scared he is about how stronger it’s the draw is getting.
I don’t think it’s the loss that’s done it. Jedi don’t open up emotionally and form bonds with people for this very reason. As time goes on the bonds he has are growing stronger. He’s gone from having a master to having a close work friend then joins a crew that act like a family now he’s going into this second game with a best friend no questions asked and falls in love
I loved when he started singing in the middle of a fight. Pure comedy😂😂
Andrew has done so much work to entertain us and for that he deserves 1 million subs so let's get him there!

Cal has heading towards the dark path when ya think about it. He kills innocent animals, he stealth kills, he mind controls people into killing other people, he could just a easily use his force powers to pacifying troopers but NUMP! He was doomed to be a Darksider…

He's not a Dark Sider or Fallen Jedi. He's a Light Sider that's embracing his inner darkness but not letting it consume him like the enemy force wielders did. Merrin ensured he didn't fall fully when he could've.
I just got a PS5 and Jedi survivor from my wife yesterday so i will be able to play through this wonderful game myself. Thank you for the journey so far.
Interesting idea: cal wondered why he couldn't sense bode but perhaps its because bode was already taping into the darkside. I think the ability to hide yourself from other force users is rooted in the darkside. Its how Palpatine was undetected in front of the strongest Jedi masters.
I don’t think bode was too deep in the darkside, I reckon it’s based around him not using the force until he has no choice, cause that keeps him hidden, and it’s like he said Denvik isn’t openly employing a Jedi, bode being a Jedi is a secret
@@connor4435eah it was mentioned in the first game by cere that cutting yourself off from the force makes it a lot more difficult for force users to figure out you can use the force as well, like the longer you stay cut off the weaker the signal
@@user-op6kt8pg9y yeah exactly, whilst if bode was fully embracing the darkside then Vader and Sideous and some of the inquisitors would have likely found out at some point and also he’d be too strong for cal, that’s why I think cal was ultimately able to beat him
Fun fact I ran across a Rancor in Koboh but out in the open. Watch out when exploring in the Harvest Ridge area. I’m pretty sure it only shows up after you finish the main story and if you beat the one in the cave. It wasn’t a boss, just a health and block meter.
No it's not. You can go against it the second you arrive on koboh and accepted the side quest
Does anyone noticed, before Bode's betrayal Cal was able to go only through green shields, but after he is able to go through red ones as well?
It's hilarious at 24:38, because he was happy because he gets to chase Bode but his mood completely changed when he figured out that he has to embrace the darkness

Yeah, that first part of the game is so fantastical and grand, it feels like it's a fairytale in a galaxy far far away. You fight Dagan Gera, and he's from the old republic, he was in a bacta tank for centuries. Then that second half is like the freaking Empire Strikes Back. It's even more real this time around... too real.
Your BFF/ totes bro material turns out to be a Jedi Survivor just like you, unlike you the person who anchors him to the light is gone, and although he fights for what we perceive as a decent and honorable thing, which is protecting his daughter, he goes about it in the most dishonorable way possible.
And you're just so angry and violated by the end, because even with the space wizard powers, you can't win. Erryone ded T_T

I thought that Nova Garon looked like the Sinta Glacier systems from Ep IX a bit from the inside, but I came to realise while playing that those were icebergs on the outside and not weird meteor things. Maybe there’s some reference in there potentially but I would’ve missed it.
Hey, I just thought I'd mention this, but if you return the ISB base after the main story, you'll find some interesting echoes, I'd check everywhere, too. Plus, there are some Bode echoes, too. Here, I just tried to remember each time he went off on his own, for example, where Dagen Gera dies, the rest I'll leave up to you.
I was so confused by the red forcefield and spent minutes searching for a way around it or to shoot one of BD's charges through it. All because the data entry said it vaporizes all organic matter, so I figured it would kill you if you dashed through it.
The menu changes colour after cere dies its all red showing cal using the darkside
Luckily Merrin was there to calm Cal down, otherwise Cal could have easily embraces the dark side because of his anger, loss and betrayal. Also during darkness mode, Cal can use group lifting on human enemies and it is a one hit kill for all of them.
If Merrin ever dies Cal will go full evil

If they make a third game they should have Cal FULLY embrace his darkness, and turn to the dark side. After a while Cal should start regretting going to the dark side, and Cere’s force ghost can guide him back to the light.

Bode isn't a Sith Lord Andrew...he's just turned to the Dark Side. Jedi can have red lightsabers without being evil as long as they've given into fear or anger or hate, which Bode's darkness is the fear of losing his daughter.
