What's your favourite car in this segment? CX-5, CRV, RAV4, Bronco Sport, Escape, Sportage, Outlander, Equinox, Forester, this Tiguan?
CX-5 for me!
@Acceler8 : Great review as always! Keep up the great content. Quick Question: Any particular reason why you might have excluded the Nissan Rogue and Hyundai Tucson from the list?
Glb35 Amg ? Or would you say it's a different category. I bought the 35 out of all of these. No regrets
VW Tiguan! I can add horsepower buy flash APR ECU Upgrade - 2.0T EA888 sweet!
@@nishanthpatil4698 perhaps due to Nissan's bad CVT transmission
Love VW! Also love your studio. The lighting, the walls, it’s all so perfect for doing these types of videos!
Presentation is everything.
@@krane15 couldn’t agree more.
Besides Mercedes, Volkswagen makes the best looking SUV's on the market. Remember, I said the best looking.
Best looking yes and u can easily upgrade
@@ABC-48483 Yes reliable to. We've owned several generations and models and still impressed with the quality and reliability. We have owned Japanese as well with disappointing results.
@@ABC-48483 i have only owned VW and two BMWs.
The sport suspension models drive really nice too once you throw some decent tires on them, and they take nicely to a tune, hard to beat for the price.
Prefer Kia and Hyundais
Bought one…. LOVING IT!
Always enjoy and respect your reviews! Nice vehicle.
I live in the US and bought a 21’ R Line. Loveee it so much. It’s mean looking and performs great. No problems and I’ve put 16k on her this last year. She runs like a dream! I agree it can be cheap with the plastic. But it has its pros with the other features.
We have the 2021 SE R Line black edition and yeah I agree about it being a great car. I prefer it to the 2022 because I'm not a fan of the new rims and front end.
Those transitions in the intro are🔥🔥🔥
I am from germany and I enjoyed your video very much! You talked about all important things in a great way and high sound and video quality. Great!!! Thank you
I traded in my 19 SE for a 22 SEL R-Line (US). My 19 had the third row of seats and they were perfectly useable - carried 6 adult passengers on a multi-state trip - two grown adults in the third row - no issues.
In the 22 - you can hit the view button on the steering wheel and make the nav screen full screen on the 10” display.
"two grown adults in the third row - no issues?" I take it you weren't one of those adults. Its a kiddie seat, and by kiddie, I mean small kids. There are only two or three full-sized SUV (ex. Jeep Grandwagoneer) with a 3rd row practical for adults.
@@krane15 Yeah maybe if you weigh 300 lbs, it can carry an adult, maybe not the most comfortably, but still
Love your reviews and your passion for VW/Audi. Thanks as always for the thorough video!
Great vehicle! I bought the 2021 Tiguan R Line in July 2021. They didnt have alot available. I love the drk grey, which I got. I dont think there is alot of differences to the new one. Though, I do love the lighting options in the new one. Mine does have lighting but I only get the white light. I like my buttons on my dash though instead of the new touch ones.
I originally was going to get the CX-5, as I had a Mazda 3 sport and wanted to upgrade. I love the sporty style of the Mazda, but the Tiguan felt so nice to sit in,
I felt higher up too. I felt slouchy in the CX-5. My concern about going from a hatchback to an suv was that it would feel too big. It does look big, but I dont feel like it is when I drive it. I loved the extended sunroof and how roomy the vehicle is. Although, I find it sluggish at times, wish it was more peppy, so I do keep it on sport mode. Though, that option is not great for fuel milage. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. Great video by the way!
The color is stunning 🤩
Oh I just love the Tiguan it's so cute and compact!
Excellent review
LOL at the reference to Raiti! I love that guy too! Great review by the way!
I live in Germany, and I got this Tiguan with the 245 HP Engine and 7 Speed DSG, the EU version has a 10 inch touch screen (Discover Pro), ambient light also in the back doors, door handles and floor lights, thats why you can select all lights but they are missing in the US/CA version, and it has even more premium features and it’s the best selling SUV in Europe
did you get the Tiguan (short version) or Tiguan Allspace?
I have 2020 Allspace model. I am more than satisfied. Active LED lighting system is amazing.
Just a little difference: in Italy it costs around 10k euro more than in US/CA
I hope they send that one here next year since we’re always a year behind.
Can you give us the 6 month review? How has your experience been so far? I’m considering buy the 2023 model. Thanks!
Very nicely done. I feel like natural, outdoor lighting would show the car with much less reflection.
Replaced my 2019 Tiguan with a 2022 and the differences are night and day. They have definitely done something to the gear ratios and tweaked the engine. SOOOOO much smoother and peppy than the 19.
I have the 2022 aswell and honestly from take off its pretty fast for what it is
@@urielgonzalez34 exactly. Not sure what the complaints are. You can do an ECU upgrade if you want the euro power specs. 😋 thinking about it myself 😂
@@mikeyg751 car looks good saves gas and has enough power for the daily use it isnt a race car but looks better then other competitors
@@urielgonzalez34 FACT🙌🏻. All the other competition has that aggressive angle styling. Not my cup of tea. I like conservative and functional. 😅
Totally agree. I felt like I had to kick my 2018 Tiguan for it to accelerate. The 2022 has a lot better throttle response and feels more torquey at low rpm
You're stoked!
In the market for one of these. I appreciate this review
Just recently brought a 2013 Tiguan SE, absolutely love it! Would love to replace it one day with an updated Tiguan.
My wife just got one and we love it!
Laughed at the Raiti's Rides reference. That was great.
I gotta Tiguan 2.0T 10’ and when u said it’s got a eco mode for some reason now I need to get one 😌
I bought a 2019 Golf R and love it. We just ordered a 2022 Tiguan (Tiger/Iguana) comfort level. King's Rad. It's got everything we need. now we wait. We trade in the old Forester for good money.
I personally think that the R-line looks better than any Q5.
completely based off of the beat you made in the beginning, you earned a subscriber !
was driving behind one these today and white smoke coming out the rear like a fog machine lol brand new car too
Great effort
I got my SEL-R 2022 and I absolutely love it. The engine is a bit loud though. I heard that Tiguans are one of the least reliable cars. Oh well, I guess we will see. The car feels luxurious, the leatherette finish, moonroof, metalic color makes it a very beautiful car. I noticed that people would look at the car when driving in the evening. I believe those are the lights that attract people.
Another excellent review! Does the Tiguan have a heads up display? Any of its trims do?
Beautiful
Fantastic car 😍🇧🇷
I have a 2018 SE 4motion, and I absolutely love it, I'm looking at trading it in next year for a 2021 or 2022 R-Line
Love my 2020 Tiguan. Only thing I wish it had more hp.
Superb
Great review, thanks! My only complaints with the 2022 Tiguan are the relatively weak engine, the fact that the ambient lighting is not more extensive and reaching towards the back rows, and finally the exhaust pipes not being real! Actually I would also have preferred the white interior to pair with the Platinum Grey Metallic exterior color. Other than that, I think its a great choice in this category.
my 2017 r line was stock 190bhp, stage 1 and carbon intake pushed it to 230bhp and 500nm torque, pulls like a train through every gear
Hows the tank would you say?
@@nolimitaggg not great but not bad, I’ve got the 4motion so it’s heavier than the fwd version as you have the haldex. I get around 32-35mpg driving in eco, sport mode is refill each week 😂
upgrade the motor as far as HP/TQ and Id switch back to VW vs the Audi's we have been buying. I really like the 7 passenger even though it is small..but for the occasional time out it sure comes in handy. Great review.
Great idea suv 🔥💯🇨🇦
I’m planning to replace my white Tigra from 2013:) and would like to buy updated Tigra 2022. Hope, everything will be ok with prices and options from local dealerships and rates in banks so I can enjoy my Tigra very soon. With best regards from Moscow. Thank so much for this video 👌🏻
You have to review the new VW Golf GTI & R please try to get your hands on one for us!
Cool review! Any idea if that gesture/hand wave feature can be disabled on the infotainment?
Still driving tiguan 2011, great car, still no need for replacement
I agree
Outdated.
love my tiguan
This is a smart choice, but I’m hoping the one with more HP and extras comes to North America for 2023 since we seem to always be slightly behind. I’m currently in a 2015 Mini Countryman S, so I can definitely wait until I can get a Tiguan with more HP than my Cooper.
i have a tiguan 2009 and it's absolutely a good 🚗
Did you have many issues with a car? I keep seeing videos where they say that any Tiguan is on a list of the least reliable cars
I love the way this comfortline Tiguan handles, just as good as my old Audi. But the Operating Software needs work. It doesn’t have the self open back tall gate option, but has the sunroof and all the nice goodies.
Good review of awesome car. I have 2018 Tiguan SEL-P R and I love it. Btw front doors are soft touch not plastic!
Отличный аппарат!
If only we had a Tiguan R with the engine, the transmission, the brakes and all the powertrain from the Golf R like they have in Europe...
If only 😭
You mean if only VW imported it. Funny too, since we do get the Golf R, but its the Tiguan that's currently VW's best selling car in the U.S.
@@krane15 I totally agree :)
Maybe we could propose a Taos GTI (in my mind, it would be the same powertrain as the new GTI and same type of aesthetic attributes) or a Taos R : (in my mind, it would be the same powertrain as the new Golf R same type of aesthetic attributes) ?
It would only be fair since we don't get the T-Roc R nor the Tiguan R here in North America.
In addition to that, both Taos and Tiguan are probably going to be the best selling models of VW here as well.
@@flavourdanslaveine I'm not sure the Taos would be a good seller in the States. Maybe? But I think Americans are too fat.
Remember, VW had to stretch the Tiguan to make it more competitive and improve sales of that car. Although I prefer the original wheel base, which was perfectly fine to me.
APR tune is the next best answer to your woes. And it's a lot cheaper.
I wonder how this compares to the Volvo XC40 T5 to driving dynamics?
I really like the way this guy make his présentation 👌🏾
Me too, he is primo!
tiguan
hands down
I see Ontario plate, what’s different between comfortline R-line vs highline R-line in short?
I wonder why they don't have the heated rear seats on the same sel r line premium in US l was at a dealership few days ago the don't have this option 🤔
Good review, great car
Which one is better overall, mazda cx5 or the tiguan?
Only Tiguan I would go for are the refreshed 1st gen with the 200hp engine. THAT was a GTI on stilts. When I test drove the next gen (essentially this facelift...) I was disappointed :( Especially with interior quality which have stepped down (since after diesel gate).I'll give it props for the looks and the new tech in the interior ;)
Best car!
How did you mount the front license plate? My front plate has a European plastic mounting plate and my U.S plate holes don’t match up? Please advise. Thanks!
When will you review the 2024 Tiguan Highline R?
Voilaaa. He is an an audiesque car elf. Name is Primoooo.
does the spare wheel come as standard or an extra?
Can we expect Jaguar F-Pace 2022? eager to see
The Tiguan makes a great lease. Not sure if I want to keep it after factory warranty.
I love my 2017 SEL
Can you tell me if the back seats have child locks on *so they cannot be open from the inside. Also, can the boot be locked and not be open from the inside? (I don't want it to be able to open from the inside).
Whats the road noise and engine noise and the ride like as I do long distance
nice car but no v6 option is crazy
12:19 did anyone else get a bit of anxiety?
does it have any voice commands like lexus, Benz and bmw?
Is it possible to get 1.5L turbo Tiguan with 4 motion? Anyone can answer me...
2023 Volkswagen ID.5 GTX silver/black exterior show off design well - interior looks good ... Looks better than any Tesla, IMO ... Slainte' ! Cheers !
volkswagen is king of the car
Can You Make 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross XLE
Wish you talked about fuel economy. I think it's equally important as everything else
32 mps freeway
@@urielgonzalez34 Fuel economy with German car is never among the best. So its not "equally" important. People buy German cars (esp. VW) because they're fun to drive.
@@krane15 never said anything im just saying they get 32 mpg since i own one
@@urielgonzalez34 Never said you said anything. Never use circular logic as an argument. Its a logical fallacy that ends up being meaningless.
BTW, you don't need to says something to make it apparent. In fact, sometimes its not what you say that counts, its what you don't say.
@@krane15 have no idea what your talking about have a good one
Just bought SE R-Line for my wife pick up Monday
voila!
Can you please do a Honda passport one day
Any news about the new taigun 2022 release?
I’m only a minute in and I already love this video. The beginning *chefs kiss*
Is this a Titan Black interior?
My wife just got a 2022 tiguan this past Friday
How come Highline Badge not printed on the car. Like US SEL
Hubby just ordered the highline for me in white.
Wanted the black edition before but I absolutely wanted this led light in the grill. 🥰
He has the atlas and I get the mini suv.
So TMO I think the Tiguan is more feminine.
I trade in my 2018 tiguan to 2022 tiguan SE rline black edition, i love it! But unfortunately i don't have the car yet still intransit, im hoping to get it next week. Just love that car.
Whoalaa..
I believe this is the 2022 Tiguan ALLSPACE in europe and in america, it's just the Tiguan
is my bast car for me 🥰
which color is this of tiguan?
A really real driver lol
What you mean now 3rd row available. My 2020 has a 3rd row.
02.02.2022 in Kazakstan Tiguan r-line official dealer prise is 51 794$
Almost bought one last week but ended up getting a CX-5 Carbon Edition today instead. I liked the Tiguan, but the CX-5 felt a bit better to drive for me overall, higher seating position, better interior, was a bit cheaper. Tech on the Tiguan is a lot better and I like the LED lighting but the trim I was looking at didn't have the pro cockpit display and it was total fuzzy garbage. Top trim on the Tiggy is hard to find available and then you may as well go Audi IMO because you're pushing 40k USD. That fuzzy screen alone was a deal breaker for me though (not the one shown here). Super happy with my new 'Daz 😄but I am sure I would have been happy with the Tiguan as well. It's a very nice overall package. Also I think more women drive these than men even though as a guy I think it is a refined and sophisticated look.
Congrats on your CX-5! Hoping to review the carbon edition soon!
@@ACCELER8TV Thanks bud! I hope you do it looks really slick for something in this price range and segment, especially in person. Your videos really helped me out in narrowing down my options so thanks a bunch.
Did you get the turbo upgrade? The Tiguan and CX-5 are anemic under the hood. In Europe you can spec the 300hp motor. That would devour all compact SUVs. Edit:316hp and 310lbs torque.
Good choice on the CX-5. This Tiguan is the wimpiest 2.0T out there with a Corolla 2.0NA having almost as much HP with 169 HP, and no turbo. At least the Audi Q3, which has the same 2.0T with more boost has some better power than this
Tiguan that VW releases on the unsuspecting.
i agree its not as worth it compared to the europe one with is so much better
I'm in the market for an AWD SUV (sick of my little sedan getting stuck in snow) and they all look like such mom cars :(
looking to upgrade and get a 2012
assets b4 liabilities
What’s the exact colour? I am looking to buy but I can’t find this exact looking colour in the dealer shop
Very late - but this is the Platinum Grey Metallic
What is the intro music? Ang gaaaanda
What is the name of this music?
It's cool!
Do you know why the Tourag is no longer in the United States or even in production anywhere?
Sales sucked!
Is this tiguan or tiguan allspace?
