Many professional jobs are done by new employee grunts then merely looked over by the senior/licenced person. Problem is if your accountant/their firm is any good they'll have enough staff to palm off this work and, if not, the fact that the professional is looking at your file personally doesn't matter; he's not very good.
Comparing accounting to surgery is illogical. Most jobs are done with less than 2 years of experience. Amazon, for example, has a 50% turnover.
Now, I would prefer an accountant with 5 years of experience, but I also feel like perlite can have outdated knowledge. I'm not sure if accounting requires continuous education or not.
Law firms are the same
When you can say you are Independent of the entity that is paying you , everything else is a lie too.
Is not 95% of the work being done by computer program?
AI will replace accounting firms soon anyway. Problem solved.
