I found a WW2 S-mine in a German fighting position in Germany in the vicinity of the small town of Erdorf, not far from Bitburg. We also found 20mm shells, 8mm brass and steel belts for the MG42. We left the mine in place and called the Polizei and their bomb squad removed it. It was complete except the three prongs had rusted down to nubs.
