Having the wartime German music in the background is a nice touch. It adds to the overall mood and tone of the video. Good move, Herr Reese!
@@pauldeegan6652 thank you.
I am the daughter of a WW II RAF pilot/navigator, John H. Wood. Dad trained in Winnipeg, MB Canada under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. One of the last times we took my dad to the air show, he spoke about his experience flying in the Avro Lancaster bomber. Dad knew more about that plane than the guy that had flown it in from the museum in Canada. Upon finishing his tour of the plane, he had a huge crowd of people surrounding him as he talked about his time training in the Lancaster. He needed to set the record straight and that he did! Thanks for a wonderful video. Great job!
@@lesleywood2949 thank you very much. That was a good story. Always good to hear the veterans stories. Several years ago they had a Lancaster at the show. It was awesome watching it fly.
Now wear it in Germany
Thanks for getting this footage, this reenactment was fun, I wondered what it looked like from a spectators perspective.
@@trfk5 glad you enjoyed it. You guys and gals did good.
Ive been in here countless times...great museum.
@@00zero11b me too. Love it. Can't wait till the new section opens.

I did a reenactment there many years ago was cool because we fought right in the street i was a flag bearer at the age of 12

@@stevebrzeski9118 thank you. Glad you enjoyed the video.
There used to be a real nice military museum in Boalsburg near St. College. I visited it back in the early 70's. Is it still there and filled with nice artifacts? I heard that most of the nice stuff is now gone, disappeared? That is why I would never donate to a museum.
Enjoyed the video. I still would like to own a WW1 brass knuckle knife. Unfortunately the prices have gotten insane.
@@brentisenring655 thank you, yes prices are crazy on everything now.

Love the jeep. Always find scenes of Gettysburg so sad and poignant as so many men died there and it destroyed the best of the CSA. PICKETTS CHARGE was heartbreaking

This is really cool, it's interesting seeing how varied some of the dimensions of them are, like they had some trouble standardizing. Manufacturing for these really came a long way so quickly that it's something I didn't consider

You need to remove the SA armband out of the wall Display that you have your SS stuff in..The SS armband would be the same arm band but it would have a black stripe at the top and the bottom of the armband along the edge,,, you have the SS dagger along with the cap skull and various other S S items but that armband doesn’t belong in there with the rest of everything.. What an awesome collection..
@@Militarycollector thank you. This armband will do until I find an SS one which are far out of my price range. Hopefully one day I can find an SS armband.
Yeah I’m sure you were aware of it and you’re absolutely right,, the SS armband
Yeah the SS armband is four times as much… Your collection is absolutely magnificent,,,I’ve only seen just a couple that compared to what you’ve got going on hi

Very cool great details @kennethreese4659
A wonderful collection Ken - Prices are crazy now, especially for German WW2 items. What happens to all this stuff when you pass on, or will you aim to sell it all long before then?
@@MrTuftynut thank you. I bought 15 caskets. I'm taking it with me.
@@kennethreese4659 Are you serious man? Life ends (at least our mortal remains do on this planet). Putting it all in caskets means it will rot and be lost forever. Surely you'd want to sell it and enjoy the money in your last years, or pass the proceeds to loved one or a charity?
@@MrTuftynut it was a joke.
