+Xicarah no it doesnt. the training mode is very robust and challenges/trials are coming. all of this should be obvious after 30 minutes in training and if that sounds like too much for you, then you have no business making suggestions.
Brandon Dunn Sure it is. The training mode from the early 2000's is really robust, and challenges alone will fix it. Yup. Especially when compared to recent fighting games, like Guilty Gear, the game that teaches you not only fundamentals but even some advanced mechanics. Or Blazblue, the game that has the training mode that teaches you how to use your specific character. Or Tekken which teaches you the ever useful, almost necessary skill of combo juggling. Or Skull Girls which has not only one of the best training modes of all time, it also has a story mode which serves to teach you fighting fundamentals outside of the usual safe training mode. Or even Rising Thunder(the robot free-to-play fighting game, look it up) which not only teaches you the characters moves and get's you used to them, it also teaches you some bread and butter combos. Or Killer Instinct. Or King of FIghters XIII. etc. But yeah, no SFV is totally fine with it's current training mode. SFV. The game that, unless something unexpected happens, will be seen as the go-to fighting game of the next 5 or so years is completely fine with this bare-bones, completely basic almost flaccid, training mode. And I say this as someone who actually likes and pre-ordered the game, I just ain't deluded enough to think that what we got was completely acceptable. Yes we're getting alot of stuff this month, but it's stuff that should've been in the game from the jump. But no, keep your ridiculous attitude, it totally helps.
anyone else notice about 1:33 he says cr. heavy punch when he's talking about st. heavy punch? sorry just something i noticed, great video but needs a little more about the speed of some normals and some other info here and there
This was useful to a degree but I figured most of this on day one. Nonetheless helpful to players new to the game. Also his walk speed isn't an issue if u zone correctly his anti airs are godlike his only real weakness aside from a good reversal is if you don't know any combos outside of target combos you won't do much damage CrMP is a great starter and linking bMK is the best way to get a special cancellable ender
+Tyrek Parrish Yeah I guess his biggest "weakness" is that we need to actually learn his combos, rather than just hit confirm to Shoryu like shoto guys.
+Potato Juice yea that never happened in street fighter before, I don't think... I guess it represents how he went through radical transformation after his "death"
+Treytheredrebel oh yeah chun li's first fireball motion was back forward wasn't it... that's all the way back to '92 or something... you have good memory. I have trouble getting charge motions to work 100% of the time on keyboard, game pad, and arcade. worst is the circle motions... ugh
Victor Ha I'm right there with ya. The only charge character I've ever used with any success is Kim from KoF. Most of the time in SF my charges don't register and I end up jabbing at nothing. The fact that Fang is a short range back-charge character doesnt help
It's because he's avenging himself, that's paradoxical because no one has really avenged themselves before because you'd have to die to be avenged, and most people aren't brought back to life.
Im new to street fighter and this guide is very helpful, i was just wondering if there are any attacks i can us as a Wake Up to give myself breathing room against fighters who rush in to grab. Thank you in advance!
+sweeg yolo Hey man. So, as far as wake up options go, Nash actually lacks any form of invincible reversal attack (akin to Ryu's Dragon Punch) as a means of a "get off me" move. Instead, what I'd recommend is using one bar of his V-Gauge to V-Reversal out of any intense pressure that you may be under. Be careful, though, as it's not a Get-Out-of-Jail-Free card, as if you do it too late, or against the wrong move, it can trap you into some damaging punishes and setups (a lot like how a Dragon Punch can be misused as well). On the topic of people rushing in to grab... honestly, it's just about practice and knowing how to see it coming so you can tech it, or reading it in advance with good button presses or neutral jumps. Seeing a throw coming can be a difficult thing to learn, especially if the player is ambiguous enough, so if you don't want to do a trial-by-fire, I'd try to take advantage of the Training Mode option of setting the AI to multiple modes, having one of them to rush in and grab at different times. For me, I'd suggest grinding it out in fights to see the habits of when people do it to you, but if you don't want to do that, Training Mode is the next best thing. :) Just be careful, because like anything else in Street Fighter, habits like that can be taken advantage of by a smart player, so always keep a mind's eye open. Hope that helps!
+Nicolas Everaert alex is the first dlc character he will be back in march, really looking forward to those characters.Looks like a good line up for the first season of dlc.
Guys i really need help where can i learn safe moves unsafe moves ? punishables and not punishables etc? Since i become bronze im getting my ass kicked help please
Naoki7 I really hope so too he's just fun to use and I hope Cody returns too I've mained him since Super and I really hope Haggar will have his SF debut but I think that's highly unlikely
You never know man, i definitely think we'll be seeing at the least, Guy and Cody returning and maybe even Poison and Hugo since it seems they were a hit in Ultra 4
Naoki7 I really do hope that our respective mains make it to the game dude, but for now I'm interested of maining either Alex or Nash. Who'd you main for now?
+Ninetales Commander He was originally called Nash in the Japanese Version of 'Street Fighter Alpha' and Charlie in the Western release of the same game.
This guide isn't really an in-depth guide and it's probably meant for players who want to pick up Nash and fool around or have some fun. For newbies and/or casuals, it can be easy to flub the combo by messing up the V-Trigger. That's probably what they meant by his V-Trigger is hard to use.
+Betäubtes Faultier I saw something that said birdie is the 14th in popularity zangief is 15th and dhalsim is 16th which is the order of my favorite characters right now
No clean anti air, (bar EX sonic scythe but that costs meter) no invincible reversal and no "get the hell off me" move for dealing with pressure like a DP. He's a monster on the offensive but if you run a train on him, he doesn't have much.
just ridiculous, 1- no invincible reversal who need that when you can escape every situation with a v-reversal that's 1-bar 2- v-trigger dificult to use ??? i wonder what they mean by dificult to use, this is a nullify tool that too gains v-trigger bar, just ridiculous 3- slow walk speed, who need to walk when you dash is 16 frames, those guys at capcom does not understand what balance is.
this guide became stupid after he said his Lk - mk target combo is advantageous on block. It is safe at most. Why would you even say that? This guide should be revised or be taken out completely.
Turn the volume up on the voice track, yo.
When?
FINALLY! I've been waiting for this one can't wait for the Necalli guide! :)
please add these to the game
I second this. It really needs a better training mode.
+Xicarah I second this.
+Xicarah no it doesnt. the training mode is very robust and challenges/trials are coming. all of this should be obvious after 30 minutes in training and if that sounds like too much for you, then you have no business making suggestions.

+Hamad Sager
It would be low quality and still take up GBs of storage. What's wrong with just watching them here?
It's cool how Harrison Young did most of this but Harrison Yooung took over for the narration.
+colintron lol i spotted that too
he's missing his air backbreaker and his somersault flash kick moves bring it back capcom
I love Nash. I haven't felt so comfortable with a fighting game character in a long while. He's damn versatile and very fun to play.
This is a fantastic overview guys! Much appreciated. Superb stuff.
Nice done character guide! Very detailed, like the others!
I would love a F.A.N.G guide soon, please!
Your video overlays are absolutely beautiful and you got some really good content. Keep it up! :) I'm subscribing.
anyone else notice about 1:33 he says cr. heavy punch when he's talking about st. heavy punch? sorry just something i noticed, great video but needs a little more about the speed of some normals and some other info here and there
Can we have Vega Next? ;)
We need that
PLEASE
I waited for this guide for days and finally!
I was waiting for this one... Nash is pretty much the one I've picked for my main, at least for the moment.
I think it's time to update these...
background ninjas LOL :V
8:39 how to cancel the crit art there after sonic scythe its so hard to put the right command in
Helpful video, thanks!
Also medium sonic scythe is useful as on op if your opponent likes to backslash a lot
Thanks for the guides, can you put them into a special playlist guide please ,it will be easier to share and find them all.thanks
Excellent guide

Oh my what happen to the B-F and U-D movements? That's a first
He's changed from a charge character to a motion character.
+Potato Juice yea that never happened in street fighter before, I don't think... I guess it represents how he went through radical transformation after his "death"
+Victor Ha Happens all the time actually. Chun-Li periodically goes between charge and motion, and Bison's mixture is always switching up
+Treytheredrebel oh yeah chun li's first fireball motion was back forward wasn't it... that's all the way back to '92 or something... you have good memory. I have trouble getting charge motions to work 100% of the time on keyboard, game pad, and arcade. worst is the circle motions... ugh

The fact that Fang is a short range back-charge character doesnt help
Most of Nash's moves are the same as Guiles, considering that they're friends.
He taught guile
@ and because they’re friends 🙄😂
@@NotTheAlbinauricWoman right
Did anyone ever notice there is a ninja fighting a mage in the background of this stage, never noticed until I watched this video lol.
Even he already death but still badass
Rapid kick is minus 2 on block, don't use it as a frame trap, it will put you at disadvantage.
C'mon guys....we are waiting for the Rasid guide :P
ok but
is it just me or does Nash's Heavy & EX Sonic Scythe resemble Rugal's Genocide Cutter
Mito with a Gun Yeah it resembles genocide cutter.
para quienes recien comienzan, estas guia son muy buenas
3:19 song name??
Necalli next please.
What dose in between notation mean
Wth does paradoxical avenger even mean? Does he avenge someone before they're killed ???
i dunno :P It just sounds cool! I'm gonna leave it there
It's because he's avenging himself, that's paradoxical because no one has really avenged themselves before because you'd have to die to be avenged, and most people aren't brought back to life.
Nick Clark you can avenge yourself. . . the term just changes to revenge. you dont have to die to be avenged anyway
Ace Knight Well, to avenge a failure yes, but no one's avenged their own death before. Well, not in SF anyway.
Ace Huey sure, that's right, but revenger doesn't sound cool... nash is the edgiest thing in this game
How do you perform v reversal ?
this guy shouldn't have any cons
Would have been much better if you'd stated which moves are safe or unsafe on block
I saw Xian did a LK > MK > LP > MP > qcb+HK, is that still possible? Because however I tried it I couldn't do it. Did they nerf him from the beta?
+rekkazan
That move is officially imposible to execute since launch of SFV.
Harrison young got some Oreos in the end
Zangief next please.

Awesome
saw the green thumbnail and thought it was Alex, i almost died
+Nicolas Everaert alex is the first dlc character he will be back in march, really looking forward to those characters.Looks like a good line up for the first season of dlc.
i no
When will the Karin guide be released?
Nice vid mate
They never really explained how Nash was brought back to life in his story mode. Who the hell brought him back? I don't think it was Bison.
Gill - Resurrection!!!
+mormegil84 The "Story Mode" was just the prologue. It might be explained soon in June.
Some ones about to do a channel marathon
im surprised hes not a charge character anymore
+Tedulous Probably to distinguish him from Guile, since Guile is coming this year.
Karin next please?!?
i bet Dhalsim or Zangief will be tomorrow since they getting the main characters outta the way first before they start on the new ones
quite a few target combos
Guys i really need help where can i learn safe moves unsafe moves ? punishables and not punishables etc? Since i become bronze im getting my ass kicked help please
wiki.shoryuken.com/Street_Fighter_V/Nash this will help alot for frame data, combos ect. enjoy!
AquaticGaming Thanks!!
standing LP = flicker jab :))
give some tips for zangief plis
+Demian Clark Tip: Don't play Zangief.
why??
Demian Clark they removed 'The Green Hand'.
I think i'm gonna change my main from Rashid to Nash
Ninjas (probably Bushin-ryu) in the background, Guy confirmed?
+firecrackerjack68 The stage with Alex in the background is confirmed Metro City so i hope since i mained Guy in Ultra 4
Naoki7 I really hope so too he's just fun to use and I hope Cody returns too I've mained him since Super and I really hope Haggar will have his SF debut but I think that's highly unlikely

Naoki7 I really do hope that our respective mains make it to the game dude, but for now I'm interested of maining either Alex or Nash. Who'd you main for now?
+firecrackerjack68 I think they're Karin's private force, actually.
I hope Karin or Rashi come very soon.
+Jin Jusuke Zing!
Why does Nash have a cow mooing in his song?
+MarginalSC Lol! X D
My lovely main :D
Nash seems like the type of guy that would cry if you called his teal boots gay.
Nash seems like he loves Linkin Park.
helpful, thanks
Is Nash a resurrected Guile or something?
+Bannerman 1903 No, he's a resurrected charlie go youtube search "Charlie street fighter 3."
I see, thanks.
Nash is Charlie in some games, he's an old character but he has some of the same moves as Guile.
I know this is going to look like a noob question but why is he called "Nash"? I always thought his name was "Charlie".
+Ninetales Commander nash was his name in jps version, he is actually called charlie nash.
+Ninetales Commander He was originally called Nash in the Japanese Version of 'Street Fighter Alpha' and Charlie in the Western release of the same game.
Ah so "Nash" is his last name, okay everyone, thanks for the info.
his name is Charlie Nash. in japan he was always called Nash.
do ken and rashid
+trigga330 Ken is done.
+Betäubtes Faultier where
trigga330 On this channel.
What about LAURA??!!!😊
+Darren Britt (Brittboys) don't worry, her guide will be uploaded soon, I waited for Nash's guide for days TBH
Zangief next!
Please stop using target combos that you already showed us as a combo as well.
I'm waiting for Karin
"v-trigger is difficult to use"
...No? Even if it was, that's of no concern.
This guide isn't really an in-depth guide and it's probably meant for players who want to pick up Nash and fool around or have some fun. For newbies and/or casuals, it can be easy to flub the combo by messing up the V-Trigger. That's probably what they meant by his V-Trigger is hard to use.
I feel like the only birdie player
I definitively hate Birdie, i feel Like Vega is Ugly and I don't like its movements
+Da Coconut No, Birdie is so much fun to play! My favorite, too.
+Betäubtes Faultier I saw something that said birdie is the 14th in popularity zangief is 15th and dhalsim is 16th which is the order of my favorite characters right now
Charlie Nash get it right
I wanted to like Nash, tried to practice him, but his walking speed is killing me! Which also killing him...
2020 👀
2021 👀
no more charge of sonic boom,,,, ic,,
lets say if GUILE no need to charge for sonic boom or flash kick,,, that will be nice!
he has every tool....
+Str8Faced no invincible reversal is such a bummer tho :(
No clean anti air, (bar EX sonic scythe but that costs meter) no invincible reversal and no "get the hell off me" move for dealing with pressure like a DP.
He's a monster on the offensive but if you run a train on him, he doesn't have much.
louder voice please
All them combos look easy but it hard to pull off wit a controller
Keniv Nash lelelelelel
just ridiculous,
1- no invincible reversal
who need that when you can escape every situation with a v-reversal that's 1-bar
2- v-trigger dificult to use ???
i wonder what they mean by dificult to use, this is a nullify tool that too gains v-trigger bar, just ridiculous
3- slow walk speed,
who need to walk when you dash is 16 frames,
those guys at capcom does not understand what balance is.
+Carlos Fabian Abreu Valerio His V-trigger is bullshit. It would be ok if had one of those, but all 3 of them is crap.
hOI
they need more critical arts
Nash is my favorite but I think he got overnerfed :(
+OnlineSkunk nash is one of the strongest characters in the game dude, he only has a few downsides
Nash needs to be nurffed ..
Really? His strength is quite mediocre compared to the rest of the cast.
So goddamn quiet, turn the volume up please. Can't hear a thing you're saying.
my main in SFV :)
I'd be first if mobile youtube app worked...
This dude needs to talk way louder
those combos don't work.
They do, you can't use them.
Hello people of the internet (im bored)
"V-trigger is difficult to use" Is this a joke or something? You guys Doped this player. smh
this guide became stupid after he said his Lk - mk target combo is advantageous on block. It is safe at most. Why would you even say that? This guide should be revised or be taken out completely.
Way too fast of a character
The combos and playstyle stuff shown are far from optimal..
Stop using your make love voice and speak up. Maybe try to turn up your mic, or something...
Can some one buy me a so I can play this game
ps4
Lmao
Ok
Deus Solaris well i dont have a ps4 yet so yah
+TIC are you serious
These combos make zero sense
