Best day of the tournament so far! Noppert and Price hitting crazy ton plus finishes, Jose and Cross both averaging over 103 each, first big fish finish by Dirk 🍆 and almost a 9 darter by bully boy 🤯.
Danny played absolutely sensational, the blind 180 was also nice to see, very unexpecting from Jose looking to see his run go on and his performance improving, very good endgame play from Price to take back control and win it, very dissapointing from Smith everyone was hoping and expecting a better match there, im excited for the quarters tho.
It feels ridiculous to have to say about a top level darts player, but Jose's counting has looked good. He's focused. Combined with his always excellent scoring, he's looking like a real contender.
We cant say how someone should act in front of the dartboard, everyone has their own way. And when the bullyboy is hitting everything he is doing it at the same pace. Was just not his day
Got into darts this year. First time watching matchplay. Loving it. I watch it live aswell but I like watching it back.....but would be nice to have more highlights. Smith was loosing 4-1. Next thing yano he's loosing 5-4 and not a dart shown. Sure we'd all be happier watching longer videos

The Second one would be Dirk ( Noppert feels very solid too ) . Its just too early to call . Tomorrow will clarify who has the mental grit to possibly win . Played darts for best part of 40yrs now and always find the hardest players to play against are the ones that get a bit pissed off with themselves and just chuck rather than throw until they get the strop out of their system like Smith does

That first leg 161 checkout from Price really set the tone for that game vs Chizzy. What a game it was!
Great darts. I do think that sometimes Michael Smith gets too over excited when he gets down to a finish and throws too fast.
