I have always thought in the back of my mind cheese and onions! Amazing, who'd have thought that a Beatles spoof would take on a life of its own and still be of interest over forty years later? Great job Lad's, cosmic.
The Dirk looks like Eric Idle - I recall hearing and buying the Rutles album in the 70s and thinking how great the songs were - Neil Innes is so talented as a writer
Get Up And Go is an absolute fave. I was delighted to hear it performed at the end. You guys are just fabulous and funny. You capture Neil's vision so well. God bless!

This is fantastic! Well done! Bravo! Especially Dirk. Dirk’s got Dirk down - a goofy Paul. Great musicianship too. The avatar of me is in another Rutles tribute band I formed for a one-off evening, the Rut-roBeats. You guys make it look easy.
Brilliant! I've been a Rutles fan since the movie All You Need is Cash was released. I'm doing a few Rutles tunes with me mates but we send mp3 files and mix them. 2 of us in Calif. and 1 member in New Jersey. You 4 lads are completely authentic. My 64 Hofner is rt.-hand model (that I bought in 1967).
+Marc Roberge I'm glad this could bring back some awesome memories when Cash was released, make sure to check out the other Them Beatles shows on my channel! Cheers BeatlesAndSolo
When are Them Beatles coming back to play again? They lost their great drummer 3 years ago and went through 2 young guys but that was it. No other gigs after. Really miss you lads!
Splendid... Magic... the wonderful soup... I would love this night out for singalong... just the sort of thing people would say...Neil Innes lives on...
Not the Mountbattens, but an incredible simulation! And, the Bermuda shorts were an added bonus to the female fans, I'm sure, who were used to the customary Tight Trousers.
FANTASTIC job guys....you put a lot of work into it and it shows! The oohs, the between song banter, the movements wow you guys have got it down.....now go eat some Cheese and Onions!
Is that a new red Hofner? Your excellent guitarist with the Tenneseean has this thing happning. I'm not sure if it's Nigel Tufnel or Rita Tushingham tonight. You guys gave outdone yourselves! Thanks
The real Cavern was demolished years ago, I hate seeing things done and announced as being live at "The Cavern Club",,,it's like big selling bands touring today without the real singers.
I just had an idea to do this the other day here in Oz, but thought it would be too niche to fly! I get it would work in the UK, but here I doubt it! No1 I know have heard of The Rutles! (I was going to call them The Rootles, as a play on the spelling 'rutles' but pronounced 'ruttles'!)
Had the Rutles cassette, so it's great knowing all the songs. Such a fun band, what a great idea to have a Rutles tribute band. Neil Innes did a great job with the songs, interesting to hear him talk about them being credited to Lennon/ McCartney/Innes but he couldn't claim to have written the songs meaning John and Paul would be credited for writing the Rutles songs - funny. Who's Paul?
George & John made sure the songs Neil wrote, didn’t get too close to the originals . Unfortunately EMI had a huge slush fund to fight with & Neil’s publishing company did a runner. Neil never saw a penny of the royalties from the Ruttles songs.
The BackBeat Beatles: CRY FOR A SHADOW - Beatles Second Movie Show at The StarClub (1962) The Beatles live at The StarClub in Hamburg (1962) with many Beatles hits from The StarClub with Pete Best, their first album is (The StarClub Beatles). “This music videos are dedicated to the Liverpool band, The Beatles” The Beatles (1960 - 1970)
The tribute band for a tribute band! Crazy, man! The Rutles actually had some great songs! Thanks, Neil Innes! We miss you.
Its a tribute band for a parody band.
The Rutles was a parody band ...
I have always thought in the back of my mind cheese and onions! Amazing, who'd have thought that a Beatles spoof would take on a life of its own and still be of interest over forty years later? Great job Lad's, cosmic.
I did.
Man! That was awesome! Love The Rutles AND those other guys.......:)
45 minutes well spent. I wish it had been longer since Rutles tributes are hard to come by.
There'll never be another group quite like the Ruttles.
Aren't we glad there won't! ;-)
I was sceptical, but you’ve managed to recreate the magic of The Rutles. Keep at it, and one of these days you’ll be bigger than Rod. Well done!
You guys are brilliant!! Best Rutles tribute band. Love the banter too.
A legend that will last a lunchtime... :)
what a great tribute to Neil Innes.RIP Mate long live the Rutles.Dirk,Stig Barry & Nasty.
How much fun is this? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Incomparable Posthumous Innes would be pleased, I’m sure. Keep it rocking boys!
Beautifully replicated Rutles numbers. 10 outta 10 boys! Neil rip and would be proud! The Body language is very Beatly lol!
The Dirk looks like Eric Idle - I recall hearing and buying the Rutles album in the 70s and thinking how great the songs were - Neil Innes is so talented as a writer
Neil is a musical genius.
Dirk is Eric Idle.
I always thought that the Rutles were just another cover band, until recently. Seeing that they were a parody and cover band is so hilarious.
Sheer brilliance! I’m a big Beatles fan and love these guys almost as much :)
A tribute band to a parady of a real band.ha. Brilliant. I love my country.
I've seen the Rules "live"...met and chatted with Neil Innes...these guys are superb!...great job guys....any Rutles fan will enjoy your show... ^/^
a Rutles tribute band - hilarious
Utterly superb. Well done, lads.
Neil would be delighted.
I bet someone is going to form a tribute band of these guys some day.
Get Up And Go is an absolute fave. I was delighted to hear it performed at the end. You guys are just fabulous and funny. You capture Neil's vision so well. God bless!

Its a shame that Dirk's " Mall of Kintyre" didnt make it big in America like it did in the UK. Malls need muzak like that.
@@HarborLockRoad which is quite an achievement considering there aren’t any malls in the UK
found the rutles album at a safeway in the 70s.
Every time I think about "I Am The Walrus" all I can hear is "Piggy In The Middle". Rutles Rule!
This delightful craziness makes perfect sense these days!
just Rutularous...just love it xx
What a fab treat! Thanks for sharing.
You guys have become the legend that lasted a rearime. Let the good times Rut!
Not The Rutles, but an incredible simulation.
A lot of effort has gone into this. Those crap rolls at the beginning of Living In Hope are spot on!
Ouch, that was great!
This is great. Wish I could see them Rutles live!
a fitting tribute to the legend that will last a lunchtime
OMG just found this tribute to a tribute band. You guys are FANTASTIC!
"Let's Be Natural" never sounded so much like "Dear Prudence"!
Love this!!!

+BeatlesAndSolo Thanks so much for the reply, I will. And subscribe.
I can beat you there Marc, I have a 1967 Hofner (Ambidextrous) that I bought in 1964.
Great job! I'm shocked. And stunned. Very stunned.
Yeah stunned
As much as I loved the music it was really all about the shorts....nothing left to the imagination...10/10
I was hoping they would be tight... and shorter.
Nasty to Stig: "You look a bit pale today" hahaha! Wish you'd come to Austin, Texas well greetings from here to there, from me to yous!
When are Them Beatles coming back to play again? They lost their great drummer 3 years ago and went through 2 young guys but that was it. No other gigs after. Really miss you lads!
Wait what happened to the drummer?
RIP Neil Innes...

The Underground Beatle sound , More Beatle Music After Abbey Road . Thanks Neil Innes.
Great Musicians Them Rutles .

Not the Mountbattens, but an incredible simulation! And, the Bermuda shorts were an added bonus to the female fans, I'm sure, who were used to the customary Tight Trousers.
Not at all bad, quite god, actually! Doesn't look like the Rutles though, more like the Kneecaps, which also was a Mountbatten band.
Its always the trousers
love this, incredible boys
Nice! Very impressive. Not to be overlooked is the "trumpet" solo on Doubleback Alley. Outstanding musicianship. And Nasty sounds just like Nasty. :-)
Excellent stuff!!!
I want to own a squadron of tanks - Ron Nasty
Thank god creativity moves forward. Well done lads!
Absolutely fantastic.
GOD Bless and R.I.P Eric Idle and Neil Innes...Your TALENT knew NO bounds.🙏👍❤️
Idle's still alive, silly.
These Guys rule! The best B. and R. Trib band ,I bet!
Made me want to be two hair-dressers.
I hope Chastity (whose father invented World War II) won't break up this band.
You know these guys are REALLY good! Seriously!
Wonderful stuff! Barry's mum...Barry's mum!

I'd love to see the tribute Ron Nasty on stage with the real one sometime!
The real Cavern was demolished years ago, I hate seeing things done and announced as being live at "The Cavern Club",,,it's like big selling bands touring today without the real singers.
The fire escape of this cavern club is the old entrance of the original club.

A Rutles tribute act? Pretty sure this is one of the signs of The Apocalypse.
