The most heart-wrenching scene for me was when Okazaki stuttered and broke down crying while trying to tell ushio what her mother was like. Reminiscing someone you truly love is really, really hard when you start realizing they're not here anymore, and you won't be able to feel that kind of love anymore for a long time. You regret not doing more for someone before you lost them.

You guys make me feel old. I watched it around 17-18 years old but I’m 31 now. For something that came out in 2004, I was still approximately 6 years late. So over a dozen years and the tune happened to resound in my head via whistling.
The first thing to start feeling is a solemn loneliness, followed by deep internal sorrow. Then that sorrow surfaces into sadness and the eyes begin to water. Then it settles into a very slight but very short moment of depression as you slowly remember what the song goes to and possibly reminded of it’s story.
I had actually forgotten Clannad’s bulk story, I just remember that his beloved died possibly due to a terminal illness, and I think a child was left behind. But strangely I could not remember the name Clannad for a while. I instead remembered a different anime called Your Lie In April, which has a completely different approach to tear-jerking and unmatched in detail.

My cousin passed away yesterday. I remember him being the one who introduced me to Clannad many years ago, saying it was his favorite anime. After watching it, it also became one of my favorites. He told me about how it really resonated with him because he could relate to Tomoya's struggles of growing up from being a teenager to being an adult and starting a family. Clannad portrays that process brilliantly.
He was only 25 years old... Far too young. He hadn't started his own family yet. Listening to this and thinking of Clannad has always reminded me of him, and I'm sure it will continue to do so. He will not be forgotten. Rest in peace.

This anime gave me hope, comfort, and reminded me that yes. Life can be brutal, it will beat you down until you think you can’t take anymore. But you have to keep going. And holy hell, not only did Clannad After Story scarred me for life, as well as draining all of the emotions out of me that I couldn't cry anymore. But on the positive note, Clannad helped me appreciate things that I have around me now including my friends and family. I could relate to Tomoya and his moral struggle, he really inspired me to become a selfless and caring figure towards others, making me into the person that I am today. I owe it to him.

Great Story of how you discovered Clannad. How I discovered.......woah.
After recently just finishing up an anime I was obsessed with before Clannad, I fell into severe depression. Silly, right? I was so stuck on that anime, it made it difficult to let go. Then I started scrolling around youtube. People were suggesting animes, but of course none of them were Clannad. So then I discovered Clannad. I clicked on it. It started off with an introduction that related to me. I thought "Hmmm..seems interesting." So I continued watching. I must admit, it was a bit boring at first, but I was still intrigued. I convinced myself to keep watching, cause you know the best kinds of anime always starts off slow and steady until it either gets crazy, or freaking devastating. Several days later, I finished the first season, covered in tears, awaiting for the second season. I decided to give myself a break, so I waited the next day. Then, it was time for the after story. Excited, I watched it. It took me three days, to finish it, with the busy schedule I had. Never in my life, have been impressed with or felt up all the emotions with an anime. I knew this is a special one. Clannad, honestly changed my life. It made me appreciate the things I have, no regrets. When I have children of my own, I'm going to teach them the importance of life, family, and a part of growing up. And I will tell them a life changing event that occurred to me, and I owe it all to that anime. Then after teaching them the unique qualities life has upon us, I *WILL* show them this anime. I hope they experience the emotions I had brought upon this anime, let it sink in. I sometimes just rewatch the whole series, and still cry. I have never felt this way about an anime, so that's how I know this one if for me, not just me, but for anyone. I'm sorry I wasted your time, when it comes to things I love, I have to express my feelings for it. Please excuse any misspellings I have. Thank you :)

This track is so fucking awesome. The beginning of the track is a perfect portrayal of sadness and happiness at the same time. The light, hopeful bells with the melody of the sad piano. And then the drums kick in, and you're in a state of mind, stuck, pacing between the contrasting emotions. Then, towards the end, the piano switches from sadness to an upbeat, hopeful, happy melody, and the violins replace the piano, keeping shit all sad.
This track perfectly sums up my experience with this anime. The first season showed me happiness with all of its clever, mindless comedy (wow, does that even make sense?) And then the tragedy of After Story, made me appreciate the happy times even more, after exposing me to true despair.
    This anime... man.

Clannad is a very good anime. This really moved me and made me rethink my future. I never thought I would want kids in my life but now seeing this anime makes me want to have one. It's just beautiful. Life is beautiful. But there are always hard ships. Clannad and After Story makes me want to actually care about life. It motivates me to do things that I wouldn't do. It makes me want to trust people again. I love this anime and I hope that you all have a good life. じゃあね.

Yes.. the death of Ushio and Nagisa was sad... I don't know about you guys, but the part that actually made me cry was when Tomoya found out how much his father really cared for him and took care of him while he thought he was just a good-for-nothing dad. When he found out just how much he had to go through and the sacrifices he made to keep Tomoya happy. When he FOUND OUT. When he was apologizing to him.. That hit me like a truck. Fuck.

This anime is a very good example of how people can change and what they are willing to do to achieve a goal. Incredible performance, so many emotions. it's like poetry. this work completely changed my vision of anime, Japanese creativity, the methods used in it. it's just a 10/10. Emotions, expressions of each character at a height. So brilliant and simple that I draw a parallel between this work and my life, and of course in a positive way. if you are a person who has learned moral thing for yourself in this life, trust me, you need to see it. but be prepared to put in the time for 2 seasons. The first season is just a "start line", this is the case when the second season is a perfect sequel, you won't regret it, i promise 😭

This melody only emphasizes the pass of time. Today, a tragedy has happened to the ones we appreciated so much, even if we didn’t know them in person, we loved the art they made.
But time has struck, and now many of them aren’t around anymore. That’s why we must learn to enjoy every second, because it is never coming back.
Many things come back: money, health, friends; but what never will do is time.

This has been the background music of many hard times Tomoya and the others had to go through.. Like for example when Tomoya and Sunohara were fighting about Mei..

  • @astralblaze813
    @astralblaze813 3 роки тому +6

Tears start flowing in when Tomoya realized that life is hard, he dropped out of school and he had no money and forced to work as an electrician. Being an electrician is hard because his dominant arm is defect, he knew he still needs to work hard because he wanted to earn money to support Nagisa. It's also sad that Yusuke, a former famous rock musician became an electrician ever since he realized that his music no longer belongs to himself.

Now that you mention it, for someone who was weak in studies and with a bad shoulder, it's actually really impressive that Tomoya's an electrician. He really did work hard for Nagisa.

It's not strange at all. If you want to dance a song with your wife then one of the Clannad OSTs would be suited. As for the funeral part, well that is up to the ones that will bury you. Either way you won't be able to listen to it. I would say that you should do something you really like in your final moments. Like reading something, watching a movie, listening to your favourite song or whatever suits you. I would watch Clannad for the last time. :D

I would not go to a Funeral myself if they used the Clannad Soundtrack, as they'd likely have to bury me soon afterwards for dying of grief. It still touches me in that same, miserable; incredible way LOL.

This is the third best instrumental from Clannad (of course, after the beloved "Dango Daikazoku" / "Nagisa" and also the powerful "The Place Where Wishes Come True") and probably the saddest song to someone who hasn't watched Clannad or After Story.
