Durand and indications should have more recognition now. The band is awesome and something or some producers should produce that now.
I found these guys on YT in 2017 and have followed their work since then. They came to play in Toronto the week before the first lockdowns started here in 2020 and it was til this day my all time fav show ever! They're so amazing live.
As a white Brit who loved 60s/70s soul, this is amazing. Loving it!

Gotta say, Durand Jones and the Indications are the Best Of the Ol school music in the flavor of the Delfonics, Chi lites, Blue Magic and any Ol school groups with the similarities. I got turned on to these gentlemen by a good friend who said HEY YA GOTTA HERE THESE DUDES! Been listening since. People think that the ol school style is done don't realize that it was a Hiatus. Durand Jones brought the sound out of Hibernation. Thank you fellas!!👍🎶

It’s 2022 but mentally I’m still here and will never move on.
Let me begin by thanking station KEXP for this post and providing such programing as this. Secondly, my admiration for the young men who comprise Durand Jones & /the Indications. During this global pandemic that is affecting us all, people of color, particularly black men, in America received a reminder on Monday night, May 25, 2020, that at any time you may lose your life by the hands of someone sworn to serve. My 19yo son is in prison and I'm sending him your music knowing it will give him pause, an escape for a while from his present condition as it has me, a 71yo black man in America.
Our thoughts are with you and your son.

I just learned of this band a few days ago. I have never felt such intense goosebumps on my body ever before like I do when I listen to their music! I have watched this video several times. I find myself humming the four songs throughout my day at work. I'm hooked! I can truly say I love the creativity and talents of all these musicians!
I found this band by pure coincidence boy was I hooked. A truly great band old school music whenever I give friends a drive they are so impressed by the sound they all say is that 60's band, they all love the music.

I just had this recommended by a friend. I love me my Motown and everything else true and honest classic soul, mostly from a european-scooterist-loving-and-living-northern-soul-since-forever kinda perspective.
I must say that this is the finest I have heard and seen in decades, now. The time has come to have more and more of artists on a somewhat dimilar path, nowadays. But this here?! The complete band is truly perfectly set up. I have never heard nor seen any other musicians in soul music history being, or having been, able to recreate what they did in a studio on stage, at that degree of magical, beautiful perfection.
This brings tears to my eyes, comin' right from the deepest depth of my soul.

Here's are some words you don't here often, musical artistry. I am loving this renaissance of real musicians. Just saw Thee Sacred Souls and then Thee Sinseers at the end of the month. This group is in that same vein, just beautiful soul wrenching music. If this group is within 2-5 driving hours of me, I am there.

Rares sont les chanteurs qui ont se groove et ces groupes de musique capables de faire du son oldies aussi pure et magnifique que les anciens. Je suis sous le charme et pourtant je suis de plus en plus difficile quand au nouveaux groupes de musiques de notre décennies mais là, il y a tout se qu'il faut pour que la musique me touche en plein coeur. Je suis conquis. Magnifique groupe, vraiment .

They’re all so humble, (stay that way!!) every single one of them bring out the best in each other’s talent.. just hooked.💕 [have to add: PLEASE remain the same, don’t give in to “Hollywoodin’ it up”!]

WOW. "Too Many Tears" by this band just came up in my Apple Music neo soul radio and I was like who tf are these guys? they sound like an old school 60s band. After that one song I had to look them up and sample more of their music. I LOVE EVERY TRACK!!!!
