thee side eye dog actually cracked me up. also crystal ur awesome but if u scoop out jam from the jar, spread w that same knife onto the pb and then dip it back in the jar it'll still contaminate! so we have a designated jam spoon and then u can spread it using a separate knife ^-^

CRYSTAL!! As someone who works in childcare I know right away those skewers are going to cause some hassle with your children’s teachers! They will definitely turn into swords and are very sharp on the end.. very cool idea for kids snacks but maybe keep them in the fridge for an after school snack 😬😬

I pack my work lunch and the amount of times I've just done a basic wrap bc I ran out of ideas, these types of videos are always so helpful!
I’m Mexican so growing up my mom always made homemade flour tortillas, they were so good and fluffy. If we ran out of wonder bread my mom would make us pb&j with flour tortillas. They were sooo good. 😊 but you have to warm up the tortilla a little bit first. We never eat cold tortillas, that’s not good 😛
For the pasta salad: no need to put the pasta in the fridge, Just rince it with cold water when they're cooked. You can use them right away. They don't stuck to each other either, which prevents you from using butter or oil. The salad sauce will do the job If you mix them right away,
Just a little tip,use two lids one on top of the other to slice through your tomatoes all at once😊

I put peanut butter, jelly/jam, and banana in a wrap. It’s really good.
Try canned chicken with barbecue sauce and Colby jack cheese I like mine with coleslaw on it too. Using those Hawaiian rolls. Big Mac salad is good too

I loved the entire video. Y'all are so funny. There's a trend going around where husbands narrate their wives, or visa versa. It would be funny if Aaron did a voiceover narrating crystal while she cooks.
Tortilla and various spreads were my broke student food quite often when I was tired of normal bread! So many options ^^
Crystal, I hardly ever have a pb & j sandwich but after watching a short amount of this vlog I paused it and went to go make me one as I was starting to crave it.
The knife is Cutco. It is perfect for sandwiches and adding mayonnaise or mustard.
Love this idea, however the freeze dried fruit needs to be in a separate container- otherwise itll mess up the consistency of the fruit

My 9th grader is in school at 730am and has lunch at 950am. Lunch ideas have been difficult this year because he isn't very hungry in the morning. So I have been doing muffins, cheese and crackers, or ham sandwiches. Then I put pretzels, goldfish, and cookies in. He also doesn't like a lot of lunch foods and has a nut allergy.
The skewer idea is neat look for parties but I would just send everything separately for school. The skewer might be a safety issue at school.
For the jam use a spoon and dump on the bread and spread with the pb knife. Dump more as needed
In NZ we call missing crisps in a packet - Ghost chips. BTW love the editing of this video. The side eye dog being the favourite 😂

Creative lunches. My kids always ate at school. Only on field trips they took a lunch. Probably not the healthiest but its was all good
You can’t put wet with freeze dry or it goes soggy
@Aaron I use tortillas for peanut butter and jelly and just peanut butter sometimes because I cannot have bread or products with yeast. Sometimes when you miss the classics you invent new things/recipes that are equally delicious.
I love these videos, it gives me good sense of new lunches to make for my babies.. I did want to ask though; is there a reason you won’t let Arwen finish talking to explaining but you do Aurora? Is it because you don’t want much Arwen yet, or something like that. She wasn’t done talking just yet & you listened to aurora all the way, & it caught my eye so that’s why I asked. I’ve noticed it in other videos as well.
If ypu cover your pinwheel in foil paper and put it in the freezer for an hour before cutting into it, it will hold its form and will stay in the skewer without any issues
I use a low carb tortilla to make myself a peanut butter & jelly sandwich when I'm craving one. 😂
I think it might work better if you pre mix the peanut butter and jelly together in a cup or bowl and then spread it in the tortilla. So the jelly isn’t drippy .Maybe not go to the very end of the tortilla edges so that when rolling it up it might be less likely to spill out. Just a thought that ran through my mind while watching. But I think max’s idea was great. Regular sandwich cut into small squares instead of the tortilla. I think they are both winners though.
I would be tagging @CHEEZ-IT under the video. They really did cheat you, and who knows how many others. I stopped buying CHEEZ-IT a while ago. Was tired of getting a bag of air.

They do it cuz they claim that their trying to get their "money" back that they supposedly "lost" during the pandemic so they add less chips and more air and price it up to get their "money" back
In the Philippines thats not a lunch for us, its a snacls 😅, what we have for lunch are rice + a meat, seafood or vegetables dish. 😊

They all seem to like the school lunches. The only one I would have concerns about would be the skewer one, they looked really sharp, would the schools even allow them? I would leave the of the skewer and just place in their food boxes. Blessings.
I love tortillas with just peanut butter. I usually make homemade flour tortillas. It’s very good.
Making peanut butter and jelly I used two different utensils and knife for the peanut butter and a spoon for the jelly. Then you’re not cross contaminating.

Crystal! My mom makes these things called roll up sandwiches. You get a tortilla and spread cream cheese on it then put ham or any kind of meat then she puts pickles on it. Once she gets all the stuff on it she rolls it up and sticks 4-5 toothpicks on it to help it stay together and she then cuts in between the toothpicks to make them easier to eat. These things are so so good. Please try making these!

Chicken Cranberry Pinwheels
Ingredients
• 4 ounces cream cheese*, softened
• 1/3 cup mayonnaise
• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
• 3 cups shredded cooked chicken or two 12.5 oz cans of chicken,drained
•1/4 cup finely chopped celery
• 2 green onions, sliced
• 2/3 cup dried cranberries (Craisins)
• 1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans
• 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
• salt and pepper
• 4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
• In a large bowl, use a wooden spoon to stir together cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
• Stir in the chicken, celery, green onion, dried cranberries, pecans, and feta cheese.
• Season to taste with salt and pepper.
• Place flour tortillas on a microwave-safe plate. Cover with a damp paper towel and microwave on HIGH for 20 seconds.
• Spread 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture on each tortilla. Roll them up tightly and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
• Slice into 1-inch slices.
Notes
If you make these pinwheels ahead of time, it is best to wait and slice them shortly before serving. Can be made up to 48 hours in advance.

Just a heads up. You really really should wash the fruit before you eat it. There’s so much pesticides, dirts and even bugs. Especially on strawberries. Some baking soda and water let them set for ,5 minutes. You’ll forever wash before eating.

Grill your peanut butter and jelly its amazing
My daughter has a recipe we kind of got from Arby's. Hawaiin rolls, cheese, salami, throw it in the micro for 45 seconds to warm it up. At Arby's they add tomato sauce but my daughter doesn't do sauce.
Maybe do whole wheat tortillas for the peanut butter and jelly.
Read the ingredients on the tortillas, keto doesn’t mean gluten free. If the ingredients say wheat protein, that is most likely gluten.
She should put fresh squeezed lime juice and garlic salt on the avocado.. that’s the punch it needs
You knife is a spreading and cutting knife for sandwiches, it’s my favorite sandwich knife I have. It’s the best.

Everything looked really good! I am going to have to try the chicken one. My son refused to buy school lunch until about 4th grade and he was a picky eater so that made things tough. On a whim I bought him a couple thermoses bowl. What that is is a lunch box thermoses but looks more like a bowl. Not tall. Life changing. He was able to take leftovers from dinner the night before, chicken noodle soup (more noodles than broth), ravioli (frozen kind as he disliked the can stuff), mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and pretty much anything he wanted that needed to be hot/warm. We got pretty creative sometimes. He told me one morning he wanted a hotdog. So I cooked a hotdog and packed a roll in a sandwich bag and he said it was still warm at lunch in the thermoses. It was fun trying different things. For his cold, the go to was still PB&J or a BLT wrap minus the T! LOL!
