Hi everyone! Today I'm back with a big anime figure unboxing/haul. It's been a while since I unboxed a bunch of figures and honestly, it was really nice to just make some good old Gwyn Collects content! I just bought the Sakura Miku nendoroid doll at a local convention, and it really is so adorable. Also that Asuka figure is gorgeous!
Between the spiritale Miku and their Bridgette figure that also just released both being controversial I feel their reputation is definitely going to drop a lot. Both figures look ok but I feel for the price people paid for them I don't blame anyone for being upset.
I'm glad you're happy with her but unfortunately this confirmed how disappointing she was to me
I totally love Lycoris Recoil but fun fact- Lycoris is pronounced Lih (as in lit up) Chorus. As you know, the super computer in the series is called Radiata. Lycoris Radiata Is the genus and species name for the spider lily, which is the flower that represents their organization. 😊

I plan to order the Starry Sky Miku after it’s released so I can see pictures posted! The pics I seen for the 39 Spiritale Miku made me apprehensive

@@fuecoco-best-boy I only have 1 nenderoid too though I have 3 coming in the mail. It's a slippery slope that I've been avoiding because they're addicting but I caved in honor of the new Shiren game.😅

The Miku doesn't look as bad as initial photos I saw, the base looks pretty good mainly the hair and face letting it down.
Chisato looks amazing. Wasn't able to preorder her so hope I can grab one of amiami preowned soon. Happy to see Aniplex preorders appearing on Amiami now.

Tbh I think the Miku looks bad😬 I wanted her pretty bad but when I saw how she turned out I decided not to buy her.

I've been eyeing that Sakura Miku scale cuz I absolutely love the design, but the color scheme and scale of her won't fit my Miku collection that nicely (since I just started collecting). I don't know what to do, I can't wait for you to unbox her next year! Love your content Gwyn

Amakuni has definitely improved as a manufacture since the initial releases of some of the P5 figures. I would pay double if they redid some of the figures but with more accurate faces
Fantastic looking figures. Only problem is the Persona figure, she looks to similar to a Catwoman figure just in red. All in all love the video💜
Talking about the world is her, the world is mine miku is getting a scale figure and The 2d art really get me excited to see the prototype can’t wait to see more, she has a chair and a crown and if I want a queen miku this is the one I’m going to go for over this one which I do really like this one but I think the world is mine one will be better, I do have snow miku 2019 scale which is basically a princess but I will get that world is mine miku
I cancelled special day due it coming the same month as the Rose Cage version. Looks like I made the right call
You got Chisato! I'm so excited to get mine. I will get her shipped mid april with some other figures. (Ann and GSC Chisato are in that same package) Ann looks great as well but I don't know if I will keep her in the long run (because we don't know how the megahouse one would turn out. I'm confident we get one someday)
But Chisato is soooo beautiful, I can't wait for her.
Edit: Got the Sakura Miku Doll as well and will get her scale. She is soo sweet.

The P5 Ann figure scares me that it might lean over time...😅
I like to think about expensive figures in terms of opportunity cost. Quite obviously, figure purchases won't be as efficient as investing in bonds or the stock market. But is the 35k yen figure as good as two solid 16k yen figure like the Madoka ones or an Anya + Yor figure? If not, is there some compelling aspect of the figure that justifies the purchase (rarity, not many scale figures for the character, quality). I don't think the Miku turned out super terrible, but definitely not worth that price point.
I might be weird but I think the Spirital Miku looks good. My only issue with it is the price. If I find a good deal for her I'd get her.

I don’t know how people keep their figures in the box, I have 50 scales in boxes waiting to open & I’m dying to start opening them hahaha, everything I’ve got over the last 10 months. I’ve been waiting to get everything for making videos, so I just need a camera now. Hopefully have the camera soon.
Isn't it a bad idea to keep figures in the box? Don't the plastic need to breath otherwise you get some oily crap covering them all over?
@@minthouse6338 I don’t think so, I bought a few figures and they’re over 10 years old, one is 13 years old, never opened, they look fine, but I haven’t opened them yet. But I do know they can get discoloured sometimes depending on what they’re made from. One of the other figures I have that’s 10 years old her wings seems to be discoloured, I can’t tell for sure, but they’re made from clear resin, so I know that can get discoloured with age.
@minthouse6338 this typically takes years to happen unless you live in a very hot and humid area

I'm pretty sure she's got a stable income and probably doesn't spend much on anything else, then it's possible to afford them :)
Well I'll tell you my story. I studied hard to get into college and graduated with a good qualification. Got my first job and worked hard to getting good at what I do. That got me noticed by the best firms and they give me the opportunity to go work for them. Promotion after promotion followed and soon I was earning big bucks. Nothing is easy in this life and you got to work hard at what you do to get anywhere. FYI Tesla sucks and they can go ***** themselves.
Mix of her being an engineer, UA-cam money, and she makes money off patreon

I’ve gotten sick of seeing Miku figures, there’s just no end to them, new ones announced every week. And can’t get a single figure of other characters.
As an opinion I respect it… as a reality. I deny it
I apologize as someone a part of the problem (I'm a Vocaloid fan. I only collect Vocaloid merch. I don't particularly care for much outside of it).
But I do not think Miku is the reason other characters get nothing/little. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it be the opposite? The money they get from Miku's go elsewhere.

The thing is, Miku is just really easy to make a lot of figures of. She has very little personality and doesn't have to stick to a look either. One Miku figure can be wildly different from another. There is also a ton of fan art for her that Crypton Future Media is totally fine with collabing with.
The main problem is that other companies are very strict with their characters/copyrights.
Also might be that don't want to pay the price of making a figure. (Cause the ones that make a lot have LOTS of money)
