9:00 Percy Jackson is mostly a legacy rivalry against Harry Potter like Mario vs Sonic, but the connections are: Both are Green-eyed, Black-haired fantasy protagonists who grew up in unhealthy family environments only to find out that they are destined to be one of the most powerful magical people in there verse because of who their parents were. Both also attended a place where they would learned how to harness their magical skills, are accompanied by a cowardly best friend and girl who is a sarcastic as she is wise on most of their journeys and we're mentored by the same old man the series Antagonist was mentored by. I'm just glad Nemesis mentioned this MU, it's one of my most wanted.

Percy vs Harry is very pog, tho
I spoke with my brother who is much more knowledgeable on Percy Jackson than me. We both worked out immediately that Percy was much stronger given that he scales to holding up the heavens and can create minor earthquakes. Other than that Harry has a number of ways to work around that. He has the fire bolt for extra speed and the invisibility cloak to just hide and then probably one shot Percy. Once Harry sees percy’s connection to water he could try to apperate them both elsewhere though this would involve getting in close. My brother said Harry probably wins but I still think it could go either way
@@Im_here_too4089 I've read all the Harry Potter books and all the Percy Jackson series (sans Trials of Apollo because that was so stupid) and there is legitimately nothing Harry can do to Percy. Being physically stronger is nothing when Percy was fast enough to deflect a bullet at that age of 13 and he's only gotten faster, moving so fast other demigods can't track his movement. Spells move WAY slower than a bullet, and Percy blitzes Harry before he can even speak.
But the real issue is that Percy is hella resistant to magic as a whole. Carter Kane from the Kane Chronicles (same universe) hit Percy with a massively powerful spell, we're talking well beyond anything Harry could dish out, and Percy just shrugged that off like it was nothing. Percy's WAY faster, WAY stronger, and WAY too resistant to even be threatened by Harry. This would be a stomp of epic proportions.
Would be a really cool hand drawn battle.
@@Oggystein Harry could supposedly get up close using the cloak of invisibility and then one-shotting him with the killing curse (which can ignore conventional durability iirc). But that’s so out of character for Harry that it wouldn’t be an appropriate conclusion to the fight. Percy completely stomps in every other scenario it’s not even funny.
The idea of Pauline beating the ever living $hit out of Mike Haggar while Jump Up Super Star blast in the background is now stuck in my head.

I love how Nemesis says people are stupid for getting diffrent versions of Transformers characters confused yet he calls Knuckles "dumb as bricks" despite that only being the case for his Sonic Boom counterpart. I honestly think Protoman works better as an opponent for Knuckles, most of the connections are similar but extras of them being red and starting off being used by evil doctors. It's also not a Sonic vs Dragonball match, which automatically makes it better for me.

Yeah Knuckles is often the butt of jokes now but i don't recall him ever being depicted as dumb as bricks outside of his Sonic Boom incarnation and even that continuity isn't consistent about how stupid he is (he goes from illiterate in one episode to being able to read and write in another).

Tim Drake and Donnie are also the smartest of their teams, often using tech and detective skills to get ahead.
A proposal as an alternate for McGruff: consider Detective Pikachu. Just the movie version though since the game version has no attacks.
I'd include both the game and movie, as it gives a few more defensive feats to detective Pikachu.

I love Darth Vader vs Artoria Pendragon the most out of all of them, because the passion and drive you used while describing both characters and the fight potential really selled me on it. It was a beautiful speech, and I wish they did this instead of Doctor Doom.

The only two that I would change would be Lex Luthor’s and Steven’s
Lex Luthor should fight Archie Comics Robotnik and Steven should fight Invincible. They both seem more thematic than Lex vs Frieza and Steven vs Gwen, and that is it.
And yes I know Gohan vs Invincible is objectively better in every way

Your idea of a Darth Vader Vs Artoria Pendragon sounds so epic it should be a season finale.
A few version ideas that I personally had before for new opponents for a few combatants:
Sweet Tooth Vs Tricky The Clown (Twisted Metal Vs Madness Combat): They are both demonic hard to kill crazy clowns who like murdering people, they both wear a mask, they both drive vehicles (A truck and a train) and there are probably more connections. It would be a crazy, bloody and ridiculous fight ending with Needles's tuck in mecha form against Tricky in his giant Demon form
Ryuko Matoi Vs Blue Beetle: Both highschool students which encountered a sentient being of alien origin which attached to their bodies and formed a sort of armor around them, creating a bond between each other with the time and after finding out about their alien origin they both fought against an upcoming alien invasion. If you know the characters you can see there are more connections between them.
Tricky vs sweet tooth? Tricky just doesn’t die. Oh yeah and has a REALITY-WARPING IMPROBABILITY DRIVE IN HIS CHEST.

4:03 Donatello vs Tim Drake is my most wanted TMNT death battle. I want it so bad I don't even care what the battle ends up looking like 2D Sprites, 3D animated, live action, traditionally animated, I don't care how just give me it.
I could still see some connections Bakugo has with Composite Raphael as they are generally aggressive teen bruisers who are considered the strongest of their group, very emotional and care about their close ones. Honestly, this is one of Raph’s best matches, way better than Raph vs Electra as the connections to that are weak and once Raph breaks out his tonfas makes the match pretty pointless. Heck, it might be better than Kaine vs Raph!
Another connection between Raph and Bakugo is due to their tempers they both lose it over the smallest of insults I'm not kidding in both TMNT03, and TMNT2012 Raph goes ballistic when ever Mikey says a real minor insult or says anything resembling a joke usually ending with Raph threating to beat the hell out of Mikey, and in episode 1 of MHA's 3rd season on their way to the training loveable frog/human hybrid heroine Tsuyu/Tsu aka Froppy as a joke and a experiment on how Bakugo loses his cool over the smallest insult throws her voice saying a really really minor insult resulting in the explosive anti-hero screaming at literally no one "WHOSE THE IDIOT TRYING TO PICK A FIGHT WITH ME?!" resulting in Froppy breaking the 4th wall by saying to the audience with a mischievous smile "See what I mean.".
You sold me on Artoria vs Vader. Like 100%, I want it so badly now.
Also Dr Stein would've been a better opponent for Kakashi. Quirky, white-haired teacher to a "trio" of protagonists and have an affinity for lightning based attacks.

As someone who knows about Killer7 and TF2, the connections between Con Smith and The Scout are that they are the younger members of a team of hired killers with speed being the major advantage they have over the other members of their team.
It's a better match up for The Scout than Tracer.
The more I listen to your arguments for Vader VS Artoria, the more I actually want to see it. I don't know shit about the Fate series, but you convinced me that it's a good matchup.
It's a crossover of any historical/mythical character you could name and they're gladiators whose masters compete for a Holy Grail.

There's more connection between Byleth and Kakashi, but it involves spoilers for both series, although mainly FE3H.
"Powerful mentors back from the dead." Byleth has survived many close-calls with Times Pulse and even being seen as dead for 5 whole years and Kakashi, if I remember correctly, almost died in the Pain arc.
Originally this looked like a stomp but when I researched the match-up, Byleth could do all of this:
Byleth can harm and kill the immaculate one at full strength with some help. (Though it can be implied that he did most of the work.) keep in mind that the Immaculate one, while still ill, malnourished, and overall in bad shape, could tank two point blank Javelins of Light. According to the Shadow Library, the Javelins of light, in numbers can “utterly destroy” entire countries to the point they aren’t even on the map anymore.
In terms of speed, they can dodge Hoarfrost, which is likely a light speed attack.
Byleth also has lots of stamina. They should have far more endurance than a child Hubert, who could hold off soldiers for days on end.
Byleth also has lots of abilities:
They also have divine pulse, which in terms of gameplay, automatically activated upon death. They can use this 14 times iirc.
They can cut through space to escape any BFR tactics.
Windsweep completely prevents counterattacks.
If Byleth has gambits, they can restrict movement.
They can arguably fly, as all magic users in Three Houses can fly. They should also have the same abilities as Nemesis, who in the opening cutscene was able to fly/jump high above the clouds.
They have plenty of healing via their crest, seiros shield, items, etc.
Of course, I'm pretty sure Kakashi still wins with Kamui, but without it I think Byleth would have a chance.

In my opinion, Yumi from Senran Kagura is the best option for Mai Shiranui
Ice vs Fire, Kunoichi vs Kunoichi, Fanservice vs Fanservice, and Both fight for the honor of their Grandfather
But isn't this a stomp tho? The Senran Kagura universe isn't super strong, especially since she's facing off against a KOF character

Not a fan of that match-up, but it also has an interesting contrast:
1.) Yumi's fanservice isn't intentational as she see those things as inmoral to a degree, but where's that revealing Yukata as a memento, giving to her since young... Just *that much growed* wasn't expected; Mai in the other hand is a "I'm sexy and I know it" type of deal.
2.) Yumi is a calm and silent individual (fitting for the Yuki-Onna vibe), while Mai is usually pretty loud and energetic. Going with that Ice vs Fire motiff.
And for other connections:
1.) They both fight fangs.
2.) They have great love for western music, as they both *love metal.* (Mai's is metal specifically, while Yumi likes several styles of western music).

39:30 I would have gone with Pit VS Issei Hyoudou from Highschool DxD. Especially since Uprising is basically just Devil May Cry 3 & 1 with some added elements of the Legend of Zelda, Saint Seiya and Highschool DxD but more lighthearted and family-friendly.

Basically, listing every episode where the looser is rated higher than it's opponent in a future episode (And leaving obvious episodes aside, like Mario vs Sonic or Link vs Cloud if Cloud wins the upcoming episode).

I know nothing about Transformers or Fate, but I absolutely love listening to you talk about matchups for them. The way you go in depth with these characters makes me want to learn so much more about them. I would love to see a video dedicated to those topics, like talking about Ivan the Terrible vs Onyx Prime for example.
52:41 I know that this is specifically looking for an Esdeath matchup, but personally, I think Lio Fotia from Promare is a great thematic opponent for Satsuki. They're both leaders of an organization and are portrayed as antagonists for the first hurdle of the story until they're revealed to be good guys trying to defeat the *real* villain of the story. Both develop a rivalry dynamic with the main character which grows over time and eventually they team up with the protagonist to beat the real villain.
Tbh, I think Vegeta vs. Phoenix Ikki would have a bigger impact in Latin America than in any other part combined, I remember that there was a little magazine or something similar that basically made a little article about Goku vs. Seiya and it mentioned Ikki vs. Vegeta too (It's also one of my most wanted fights)

Vader vs Artoria gave me whiplash, but after it was explained it is legitimately my 2nd most wanted DB. Number 1 being Homer Simpson vs Peter Griffin. Unironically. Would kill to see either happen.
I was honestly surprised seeing some matchups I had for characters being used here like Leon vs Stryker for instance, found it kind of cool. There were also a lot of characters where I was like "This would make more sense" then realized that you couldn't have that matchup because their possible opponent has also been on Death Battle, the main one I thought of being Jak vs Samurai Jack. Overall pretty interesting matchups for the ones you seemed to take seriously and I find it funny how a lot of them were Fate related.
One fight I could see happening on here that I REALLY hope doesn't is Spider Gwen vs Jolyne Cujoh. I have seen this requested and with part 6 coming out soon I imagine Jolyne will get a Death Battle soon and Spider Gwen is the only opponent I have seen for her but I honestly much prefer Jolyne vs Mayday Parker from the Spider-Girl comics. It follows a similar theme of both being female protagonists who primarily fight with strands/threads but unlike Spider Gwen, this matchup as is a fight between the daughters of two of the most popular characters in anime/comics respectively. Jolyne is the daughter of Jotaro and Mayday is the daughter of Peter Parker. Both gain similar abilities to their fathers but with some interesting differences who have to deal with enemies and conflicts from their father's past. Also like this fight because Mayday apparently has a very strong Spider Sense that would actually allow her to more easily fight against Jolyne's Stand and she can also use her Wall Clinging ability offensively to hold people in place so she could very easily restrain Jolyne in a number of ways to attack and potentially finish her off. I just REALLY prefer this to Spider Gwen, they have more in common and Jolyne vs Spider Gwen would just be because Spider Gwen is more popular and I find that lame as shit.
For Tommy Oliver, specifically the Green Ranger iteration, one fight I love the thought of but probably isn't fair is him vs Takuya Yamashiro, the Japanese Spider-Man. While the characters themselves don't have any real similarities, I want this fight just because of a lot of the connections their two series have with one another. For starters, its an East vs West fight but with a twist, both characters are adaptions of things made in the other's home country with Takuya being a Japanese adaption of an American super hero while Tommy is the American adaption of a Japanese Super Sentai character. Besides that however, the Japanese Spider-Man show actually paved the way for a lot of things Power Rangers is known for. Before the Japanese Spider-Man show, Sentai didn't have giant robots. With Leopardon being a popular part of the Japanese Spider-Man show, this made Toei repeat this for their next show, Battle Fever J (also loosely based on a Marvel property, Captain America) and from this point on, Sentai always had giant robots, becoming Super Sentai. The reason the Megazord exists is because its Super Sentai counter part had a giant robot, and that only exists because Takuya had a giant robot. Not only that, but seeing the Japanese Spider-Man show, Stan Lee actually really liked it and Sentai in general, actually really wanting to bring it over to the states but failed. Years later another man would have this idea but succeed, creating Power Rangers. Essentially Stan Lee had the idea of adapting Sentai for American audiences before the creator of Power Rangers, that is really funny to me and is even more reason I'd love to see Takuya fight Tommy. The sad thing is, due to the low budget of his show and his appearances in the comics not really having him do much outside Leopardon, I don't think Takuya can match Tommy in terms of physical power. He can dodge bullets, he's been flung to the ground by a giant monster and punched through the floor of a car which I imagine would take pretty good strength but nothing comes to mind that would match what Tommy or Rangers he scales to could do. I also can't think of anything that would scale Takuya to Peter Parker or similar Spider characters in Marvel, if he could then that would make the man to man fight more fair but without it, Tommy stomps. I think the only case where this would get fair is the Dragon Zord vs Leopardon as while the Dragon Zord is bigger, Leopardon is faster and while both have likely similar destructive capabilities, I could see Leopardon's Sword Vigor being a huge threat to the Dragon Zord as in the show, its always a one shot kill to the giant monsters it hits. Seriously, he throws the sword at the giant monster of the week and it just destroys them, I imagine the amount of energy required to vaporize creatures of that size would be very threatening to the Dragon Zord but I haven't researched this so I could be wrong. All in all, would be a really cool fight given that the history of their series intertwine but unless their is proof that Takuya scales to Peter Parker, it would only be fair as a mech fight which would still be cool but I'd love to see them fight in person at first. Hopefully Takuya gets enough use in the next Spider-Verse movie to make him more impressive so this seems fairer.
The only other thing I can comment on is the Wind Waker Link vs Volenutt part. While in a Battle Royal, Wind Waker Link wouldn't be the winner (I imagine Link to the Past Link due to his sheer arsenal and experience), he wouldn't get destroyed like Volenutt. He has some pretty good hax himself with potions that can fully replenish his health and magic simultaneously, his Elixir Soup that does that and double his attack power and has two servings so he can drink it twice, his ice and fire arrows that are probably the strongest versions of these items in the series (said to freeze the hottest flame and melt the coldest ice respectively and they actually heat up an island engulfed in freezing blizzard and cool and active volcano so there is validity to this) and their magic armor which as of the HD remake, runs on Rupees and doesn't drain unless he takes a hit so until he runs out of rupees, he is invincible essentially. Not only that, his grappling hook can steal items from opponents, not the least of which is rupees which every Link will have so he could very easily keep his Magic Armor running, making him very hard to put down. What makes him not likely to win is he doesn't have as great of sword skill as the Hero of Time and Hero of the Wilds and he doesn't have the experience of the Hero of Legend nor his vast arsenal so he wouldn't be the last standing. Still, out of all the Links I think would make sense for this fight (Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild), he wouldn't be in last place, that would sadly be the very first Link, the Hero of Hyrule as he doesn't seem to have any hax or good sword skills like the other four. All five of them have at least two games under their belt, represent some aspect of the series, etc but the Hero of Hyrule would be more like the Volenutt, just lacking in the over powered items and abilities the other Links get. Wind Waker Link would be the Rockman of the Battle Royal in my opinion, the only difference being he'd be out shined by his predecessor rather than his successor.

They are goofy copy cat enemies of the protagonist(SMG4 and Superman) who also have a league of their own(Bizarro League and Anti Cast). This is SMG3's most wanted matchup.

Metallix Vs SMG0(SMBZ Vs SMG4)
Blue omnicidal maniacs who destroyed an entire homeworld for two people(Sonic and Shadow. SMG1 and SMG2) who also hunt for certain things(Avatars and Chaos Emeralds). This is my most wanted SMBZ matchup, but it should come out after The Metallix Saga ends and after the Genesis Arc finishes. Unfortunately, it's chances of happening are low due to Nazo Vs Metallix.
Bob Vs Black Yoshi(SMG4 Vs SML)
Gangsta versions of Nintendo characters who have no problem with betraying their friends(Black Yoshis Blank Check and The Rapper Bob Arc), constantly beg for things(Bob wants attention and Black Yoshi wants money), and wield a gun. This is the best SMG4 Vs SML matchup imo.
Francis Vs Oscar(SMG4 Vs Schaffrilas Productions).
Both are evil assholes who done massive crimes to a sea creature related species(Francis kidnapped and tortured half the inkling population whole Oscar commited genocide on every single shark), they killed an octopus(Desti and Luca), and they are based on a character the creator of the parody hates. This is one of the greatest matchups ever, and we even got YTP representation which is nice.

Some more matchup ideas:
-Doctor Doom vs IDW Megatron. Two tyrannical leaders who started from humble beginnings and rose to power to overthrow tyrranical governments. They created entire armies to accomplish it, were seen as saviors by their followers and ambissioned to shape the rest of the world to their vision (Earth and the entire universe respectively). They achieved forms with insane power (God Doom and Upgraded Form Megatron), but after a crushing defeat (Doom was outsmarted by Mr. Fantastic and Megatron was ripped in half by Galvatron), they reconsidered their moralities (Doom saw everything with a new light after becoming a god and Megatron was inspired by Bumblebee's last words) and joined the good guys (Doom took the role of Ironman and Megatron became an Autobot).
-Starscream vs Monsterverse Rodan. Two treacherous cowards who act big and tough until the likes of Megatrom and King Ghidorah put them in their place. They act as the seconds in command to Megatron and King Ghidorah, they have a reputation for getting their asses kicked in fights and they change their loyalties with the drop of a hat. They can also fly.
-Kiryu vs Eva Unit-01. Two giant mechs made by the bones of the monsters they are built to fight (Godzilla and the Angels) and they are piloted by two tramatised pilots with messy relationships with those around them. They also both fly and they are the ultimate weapons of a kaiju-fighting military organisation.
-Kiryu vs Gipsy Danger. Two giant mechs that are the ultimate weapons of kaiju-fighting military organisations. They are piloted with unconventional ways (Kiryu remotely by a jet and Gipsy Danger by two pilots who get their nervous systems connected to Gipsy's A.I.), they are both piloted by a traumatised Japanese woman with a tragic past, they lose control at their first day at work, they both have blades, chest cannons, freezing rays, rocket propellers and they have hidden weapons in every part of their bodies. They also develop a bond with their pilots (Kiryu creates a spiritual and thematic one and Gipsy a physical one). Their careers were over when they fell to the depths of the ocean and they were upgraded/redesigned in kinda unnecessary sequels (but at least Tokyo S.O.S. gave Godzilla a motivation and continued developing Kiryu as a character) and they were piloted by some way less interesting and compelling pilots.
-Akane Yashiro vs Eren Yeager (Don't worry, it's the last Kiruy matchup (and arguably the best), but it's more about Akane). Both of them lost people they cared about at the hands of Godzilla and the Titans after they failed to save them, both of them grew immense hatred inside them (Akane for Godzilla and herself and Eren for all the Titans), they both joined kaiju-fighting military organisations, they were both given important ranks (Akane got to pilot Kiryu and Eren got to lead his own team), they both got indirectly their teams killed, they developed a rivalry with people around them (Akane for getting her team killed and Eren for his insane desire to kill all Titans), they both pilot a mecha made out of the flesh and bones of the monsters that took everything from them (Kiryu and the Attack Titan-imagine the Attack Titan as a mecha made out of flesh-), which lose control once they tried to use them against the kaijus, but soon they regained control of them once more. There is also some beauty in the antithesis in here, since Akane became a better person and believed in herself and her worth, whereas Eren slowly became the villain of the story.
-Doomsday vs Destroyah. Two absolute monstrosities that were created by scientists who were killed by their own creations ( that alien scientist who got killed by Doomsday and Dr. Serisawa who got killed by the Oxygen Destroyer). Both of them mutated from prehistoric organisms from Krypton and Earth respectively. They can both abapt ( Doomsday adapts mid-fight and resurrects himself immune to what killed him and Destroyah absorbs the DNA of his opponents and fuses with his own). Both of their most iconic stories are their first ones, where they after they are awoken from their slumber, they cause havoc and kill/ beat up everyone in their way until only the title characters (Superman and Godzilla) are left stabding in their way and after a ferocious battle, both sides died, but the heroes came back(Superman was resurrected and Godzilla's energy passed to Junior so technically a part of him still lives through his son). Plus, both Doomsday and Destroyah have really 90's designs with spikes coming out of their bodies and their nsmes come from the synonymous words "doom" and "destruction".
-Kratos vs TFP Predaking. Two proud warrior kings, who are the kast of their bloodlines amd made a deal with some horrible people (Ares and Megatron) who backstabbed them and took from them their families. They attempted revenge against them, they are angry a lot of the time and their arsenal revolves around sharp blades and fire.
-Zuko vs Dinobot. Two proud warriors who were originally loyal to the Fire Nation and the Predacons respectively, but after a disagreement with their leaders (Ozai and Megatron), they were betrayed and kicked out of them, so, after reconsidering their moralities, they joined the good guys (team Avatar and the Maximals) and fought against their former leaders and against people they had a connection with (Azula and Quickstrike).
-Ultron vs Beast Machines Megatron. Two megalomaniacal robotic overlords, who hate organic life and raise robotic armies to achieve their goals. They have taken over entire worlds (Ultron took over a galaxy and Megatron took over Cybertron), they captured/killed lots of heroes, they have issues (Megatron at one point had a savage/ noble complex and Ultron is pretty nuts), they had taken over machines, they cannot be killed with conventional means ( Ultron is an A.I. and Megatron's spark survived out of his body) and they took many different forms during their careers.
I also like Optimus Prime vs Superman, Solid Snake vs Batman, Shoto Todoroki vs Weiss Schnee, Archie Sonic vs Ben 10 and Godzilla vs Hulk, but those matchups break the rules of Nemesis' video, that's why they are merely mentioned and not analysed.
I actually prefer Gypsy Danger vs Eva-1, Destroyah vs Iris, and Doomsday vs SCP-682 as well asComposite Rodan vs Rayquaza and Starscream vs Gigan

I was following the same rules as Nemesis, where one of the compatants has already appeared in Death Battle and the other one hasn't. But Doomsday vs SCP-682 and Starscream vs Gigan actually follow that rule and are great matchups on their own right, so yeah, good choices pal.

Kirby actually has a great matchup in the form of Rimuru from that Slime Isakai. They're both godly ability copiers who are shaped like a friend.
Fate Lancelot vs Vader is probably my favorite Vader matchup, but honestly I find it hard to argue with 3 minutes of monologuing.
Doom vs Gilgamesh is probably Doom's best matchup (He has all of Doom's connections with Black Adam minus the lightning, but also has a bunch of extra ones), but I understand wanting to promote your show.
Garp isn't evil, dude. You can even say something like "they throw their family off a cliff" as Garp throwed Luffy off of one to train him but not to kill him.
In fact, he loves his grandchildren even to the point of ignoring his duty as a marine to get one of them saved from death.
Still a cool matchup.

Tails Vs Deku is a pretty good matchup
Both are young characters who look up to the main hero in their respective universes (Sonic and All Might) who are also the targets of bullying due to disability (Tails’ tails and Deku being quirkless) and grow as people by using their disability to inherit a trait from their idol (Tails being super fast like Sonic and Deku inheriting One For All) and they both prefer to go by their nicknames rather than their real names. Oh, and Tails’ favorite anime is My hero academia
Deku VS Remy from Ratatouille is better.
Funny that you consider Artoria Pendragon for an opponent for Darth Vader, as I actually have been considering Darth Vader vs. EMIYA as a possible matchup, as I think their respective character arcs (specifically EMIYA's arc in the Unlimited Blade Works route) mirror each other quite well.
Both were originally idealistic young swordsmen who walked down heroic paths, only for them to wear down over the years and eventually come to hate the ideals they once held so highly, leading to them taking a more villainous path (though that part applies much more heavily to Vader than it does EMIYA). Eventually, they encounter a young man they have a connection to (Luke, Vader's son, and Shirou, EMIYA's past self, respectively) who's currently going down the same path they once did. They try to convince the young man to reject this path like they did, only for Luke/Shirou to refute their views and steel their own resolve about the path they've chosen, causing Vader/EMIYA to have a change of heart and restore their faith in their original ideals (though, once again, that last part applies much more to Vader than EMIYA), leading to them saving the young man from the story's villain (Palpatine and Gilgamesh, respectively) and even delivering the killing blow to said villain. They both (sorta) die soon afterwards, but are clearly now at peace with themselves.
I prefer Guts vs Dimitri but that’s just my opinion

Hey, someone else who shares my thoughts on Deadpool vs. Gintoki! I really wish they did that instead of Deadpool vs. Pinkie Pie, but they've overused Deadpool as-is.
Also, Sanji has Regal Bryant from Tales of Symphonia, who is also a criminal martial artist who is extremely good at cooking and only uses kicks because he has strict morals concerning the use of his hands. Specifically, Sanji needs his hands to cook and can't risk damaging them and Regal feels guilty about having to kill his lover with his own hands.
Michelangelo vs Joseph just as also fits because the are technically the most skilled of their families but the fan base will automatically hate on anyone that brings it up.

Mad respect for all the Fate matchups, especially Saber/Vader and Merlin/Obi-Wan. Fate is a series I adore and am timidly excited to see finally get an actual Death Battle matchup (the DBX one was just okay). Obi-wan vs Merlin in particular sounds like it'd be prime to have some absolutely fantastic banter as well!
I would've swapped Napoleon Bonaparte (All Might's Fate matchup) for Escanor from Nanatsu no Taizai...

Fun fact about Bucky vs. Usagi II (or Space Usagi, but your name is better), I remember reading in a collection of the Space Usagi comics that Bucky O'hare's relative failure was the reason Space Usagi never got a tv show (or maybe it was a toyline, I don't quite recall). So the Death Battle idea actually makes sense in an ironic way.

There are some fights I would probably change, so here are my ideas. There are a lot.
Shang Tsung vs Seth (Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter)
- Evil fighting tournament hosts with malicious intent capable of stealing other people's abilities in their own ways. A better match for Shang Tsung than a giant robot.
Link (OoT) vs Adol Christin (Legend of Zelda vs Ys)
- Legacy video game swordsmen with similar stories. Also red vs green are actual clashing colors, so...
Superman vs Medaka Kurokami (DC vs Medaka Box)
- Metahax up the wazoo.
Guts vs Dimitri (Berserk vs Fire Emblem)
- Stupid overpowered sons of war with intense scars, wielding powerful weapons, chasing after traitors with white hair after a bloody backstory. This is way more thematic than every other Guts matchup I've seen.
Sol Badguy vs Kenpachi Zaraki (Guilty Gear vs Bleach)
- Badass swordsmen that constantly limit their insane power who were formerly members of a secret order and have their own intense rivalries with other characters. I know it's probably a stomp but I still can't believe this isn't a more popular matchup.
Mewtwo vs Tetsuo (Pokemon vs Akira)
- Psychic test subjects with a tortured past meant to replicate the power of a former psychic entity, using their power against humanity.
Terry Bogard vs Yamcha (Fatal Fury vs Dragon Ball)
- Wolf.
Aang vs Yugo (Avatar vs Wakfu)
- Similar personality, both the chosen ones from an extinct race/group of people, going on adventures to discover their true powers.

Honestly I'm in love with the idea of Darth Vader vs Artoria and Ben vs Judai, Fate is a franchise I've always heard about but never been particularly interested despite my love for arthurian mythos, but hearing about Artoria's story made me really excited to get to know her (And Anakin is my favorite star wars character), meanwhile I didn't even though of all the similarities between Ben and Judai despite been pretty familiar with the first and my absolute adoration for the second, so, great ideas!
Personally I think You’re focusing a tad too much on personality traits and characterization similarities when powers and abilities should be prioritized for the matchups. Like Bakugo vs. Raphael doesn’t make sense power wise at all. Their personalities are very similar and bakugo is written as basically an exaggeration of the “angry, overly aggressive good guy who takes it too far” trope which Raphael is, but as far as their power levels stack up it’s just not even close. Raphael is blitzed immediately. Just not a fun fight

In rise he was keeping with shredder who could send someone trough a building with just air pressure, Mikey before they got a power up could launch a large cruise ship in the air. In the first épisode the main villain of the first season tank the large explosion of his entire palace and he is isnt that dangerous compared with their version of shredder.

But I didn’t realize Mikey had launched a cruise ship so I will have to look into that more. But Bakugo definitely still has the range advantage of being able to keep Raphael at a distance
