Glad to see your progress on your J - 20. I can attest to the body seams on those Jeep pickup beds rusting out. My cousin Bob and I restored my Dad's 1966 J - 2000 seven foot body truck in 1993 and we chopped the frame at the cab and replaced it with a 1993 Chevy truck frame which fit inside the original Jeep frame. We slid it in one foot and double plated it ,welding and bolting it together where the combined thickness amounted to one half inch. The pickup body was from a donor Jeep being a 1977 model that was in very good condition but still required all four body seam replacement with welded patch's. The tailgate was missing so I built my own with a solid P.T. wood core and sheet metal exterior. This truck still serves as my winter plow truck and is a real workhorse. Good luck with your project. It can be a little daunting at times but you will have a real good truck at the end. Thanks for the video.
