- Day 9 of INSIDE/OUT--TIME FOR MUSIC by David Troy Francis. This song was recorded by Anne Murray in the late 70s. I chose to play it to honor my first and most important songwriting teacher at UCLA, Gloria Sklerov, who was one of the songwriters on this hit. Gloria composed many wonderful songs, but this was always my favorite and was one of the songs already in my memory bank when I enrolled in her class-which for me was life changing. But 19 years later, it took me by surprise that I should be falling for a new guy, younger than I am. So, I had to suppress the very strong feeling. And then I heard Anne Murray sing this song at You Tube.

When I moved to Los Angeles from Memphis in my 20s, I studied songwriting at UCLA and was thrilled to discover my teacher was Gloria Sklerov who was one of the writers of this song.
