Subscribed.. I've watched a few of your vids now and figured I probably should subscribe being that I really like the onan motor. But I like the kohler magnums too. I think the biggest reasons people like the cub cadet onan in particular is because of the duel exhaust.. I'd like to put duel exhaust on a Kohler 18 or 20 mag to hear how it sounds.. Thank you for making these vids. I appreciate it.
quick question: Is there an adapter for the carb being bolted to the manifold so that you don't have to remove the intake manifold to take the carb off?
Would the points being out of adjustment cause slow starting on a b48? Seems like I always have to choke no matter what and it cranks forever. Once it starts its fine. Idles like a champ with no surging and throttles up and down freely
Hi Cranky. Will a bf coil off a 16 hp Onan, work on a p218 Onan? I know the coil off the 16 hp Onan, that has points, and the p218 is electronic ignition. But I have the coil off the sears Onan and want to try it on the p218, but don't want to damage anything. You seem quite knowledgeable about the Onans, so I thought I'd ask. I enjoy your videos. Keep the hobby alive.
If you have electronic ignition, I think all the ignition parts are different. I’m not an expert though. Google “boomers onans” and give him a call. He’s an onan expert.
I have a BF-3CR/16000B Had a bad head gasket, replaced it today, now it will not start. Timing say's 0.25 BTC, but before it was running at 0.20, so please explain how to get BTC, and which piston?????
Good video but it's a waste of time to work on onan pile of junk Got a miller welder with one of those I abandoned the thing 20 years ago because of the engine that thing spent more time at the dealership than on the job still got it under some junk
Appreciate it bro That solved my issue man I'm glad God-made people like you lol

No, usually excessive cranking is a weak fuel pump or air leak in the fuel lines.
@@crankysports new fuel pump and lines. I'll check all the clamps when I pull it apart for paint.

Thanks a bunch for the reply. I've purchased a gasket kit from him, a couple years back. I'll try that out.

Everything is a piece of junk to those who don’t understand how to fix them.
