It's so cool to see these towns so far away from my home. I want to drive there today. Great episode!

I'm going to guess that Jack is a Virgo and Emma is an Aries.
You are right on Emma being an Aries but Jack is actually a Taurus.
Briggs brought me here😎
Briggs is amazing. Thanks for checking it out.

We just north of castle rock. Love the area and backing up to the foothills.
Edgar Poe was here.
He was!
But is it a good place to retire? Is it affordable?
Great place to visit but affordable is not how to describe Charleston.
Definitely a nice area to retire if you aren’t worried about cost but to be accessible to the activities the housing is going to cost.
Like anywhere popular there are areas that are more affordable than others. Depends on how close to downtown you want to be and how much land you want, etc.
I lived in Mount Pleasant back in the early 90s and the population was under 20k now it’s 100k.
I know two houses bought by friends late 80s early 90s on Sullivans Island & Isle of Palms. One was $136k the other $258k. Those houses are now worth $1.5m+ & $7.5m+.
Charleston started growing pretty fast in the mid to late 90s, but totally exploded during the early 2000s. Now it’s growing exponentially because of Boeing, Volvo, Mercedes, etc.
Places that used to be completely out in the country are now surrounded by apartment complexes and subdivisions.
frankly, I hate it! I liked Charleston better when it was much more of a quaint little town like in my youth.
Myrtle Beach used to completely shut down for five or six months of the year. A true seasonal beach town. Now it’s a thriving little metropolis.
Beaufort used to be a quaint little town and in many ways still is but things have exploded around it as well.
South Carolina and North Carolina trail only Florida and Texas in terms of growth. It’s a combination of people leaving New York, California, New Jersey, big cities in the Midwest for a lot of political reasons and economics, but it’s also because the end of the baby boomer generation is retiring and they’re wanting to go south for lower cost-of-living and better weather. But as more and more people move here the cost of living skyrockets.
Not good.
Guess it wasn’t for you. Thanks for watching though.
