Hey man I got a question!!! Is it's it better to memorize the steps or the song first? I am having problems combining them together for some reason.

If you're just starting out, memorize the choreography steps with counts.
This way if you know the counts, you won't speed up, or slow down once the music turns on. You will stick to the counts.
As for memorizing the song, there is no need for that. You just need to know the choreography so you are able to stay on beat with the song.
