Good afternoon. Since they got off the plane and after going through immigration and picking up the suitcase, how long does it take approximately?

If the passport control is not busy usually you are at the station with in an hour. But if you flight arrives at a time when the passport control meaning immigration counters are busy then it can take upto two hours to go through immigration and customs including picking up your luggage. I have a layover there before departing for Rome. Do I still have to go through immigration? What is the process
If you have a layover all you have to do is to follow the signs connecting flights or transfer passengers. You don’t have to go through the immigration or customs. Just make to sure you have the boarding passes to your final destination, meaning when you get to the airport to get the flight to Paris ask the airline personnel at the airport counter in your city to give you the boarding passes for all the way to Rome. @@pyanchen8665 no not all. They don’t ask for anything like that. If the electronic passport control is open, you should use that it is much easier and more convenient and faster. Since you are carrying a Canadian passport you can use the electronic passport control. I hope this helps you. Happy travels.
So if you coming to Paris from Washington, DC you will go through Passport control first, then baggage claim and last Customs. Correct?

How long would you say it takes to get through customs in CDG? We land around 6 am and i want to get a train to Bordeaux that leave around 8 am. Do you think thats enough time?
Customs processing took not more than five minutes, its the immigration process which can take up to an hour or more but if you are carrying a Passport either from United States, Canada or Japan then you can use the automated gate in the immigration area and that will a lot easier and quicker for you. How much time does it take in the immigration department for new arrivals? Does the time vary between students and visitors?
@@Sou-no7xt it totally depends on how busy the immigration department at the time of your arrival. Usually it takes good 35 to 45 minutes if they are busy. The difference of time between visitors and students should not be that much. I hope that helps you understand the process little better. Let me start by saying that I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my video. To answer your question, they only ask about the where you are going to stay and how long you will stay in France. If the immigration officer decides to ask you to show proof of hotel reservation then he may ask you for that. Hello. This is a very informative video. I have a question. American citizen flying to Paris on United to terminal 1. Can I clear passport control at terminal 1 and take a taxi to Paris without going to terminal 2?

Just follow the sign for taxi which are parked outside of the terminal. You can also take the Uber to the city center but, I am not sure where you can get the Uber from. @@coralking5762 you can clear your immigration and customs on the same terminal where you plane arrive. It can be terminal 1 or 2 they all have immigration and customs facilities.

First of all thank you for watching my video. To answer your question, it depends upon the time you have in between your flights. If you have less then 2 hours than it will be hard for you to make your second flight if there is a long wait in the immigration process. You can buy it online. Just type Paris pass on google and it will give you all the options of different types of Paris Passes.
My flight landed at 06:15 in Terminal 1, have I got enough time to Terminal 2 to catch TGV at 8:45 ?

To answer your question I think it should be enough time to go through the immigration and customs and take the TGV from terminal 2, unless the immigration and passport control is extremely busy at the time you come in. Usually they are busy early in the morning since most of the flights come from the US and Canada and other Asian countries arrive in the morning. Once again thank you for your question. How were you able to bypass the long passport line?
Actually, that line was overcrowded so the French immigration authorities open the second lane which was for EU citizens but it had immigration officers in the booth where as the other line had the automatic immigration counters. Was this terminal 2E? I have multiple university student groups arriving at various times in Paris, and I'd like to be able to recommend a place for those arriving at the same time to line up. It looks like there's a Brioche Dorée just outside the exit after customs, but there might not be one there in other terminals.
No. It was terminal 1 but the train does go through all the terminal. Yes, that would be a good idea to have a meet up place.

The RER-B ("train") originates at Terminal 2. Many US flights end at Terminal 2. If yours does, then you won't have to take the shuttle train (like these guys did). Just follow the signs to RER-B.

Yes. You have to validate your train ticket. The way you validate is when you use it and majority of the time the train conductor comes to you and ask for your train ticket and then he or she validate your ticket.
