I recommend watching the "do the evolution" music video immediately after listening to this, I think it pairs well. Especially if you think of the dancing lady as earth.
Firstly, it feels nice being praised by mother, who would speak so highly of us, but i gotta say, I feel like shes selling us a bit short here. I mean sure we are an inherently violent race, sure ill give her that.But it sounds like shes describing us as volatile and savage beings that will sweep across the universe and engulf everything like a swarm of locust, BUT HOLY JEEBUS! BITCH!, WE'RE NOT THAT BAD! When did we turn into Tyranids??
Id like to say that were not completely insane maniacs. We are intelligent, we can do things peacefully, not savages, when we need to be at least.
We as a species try our hardest to avoid such things as war and conflict, we may be terrible at it but we still try.
The first thing we'd do is try to talk to our new interstellar neighbors not fight, and if we're met with violence we'll return that violence 10 fold.
If we took over an inhabited planet it be out of necessity, not want and we wouldn't mindlessly kill everything in sight.( At first it would be like this, when humanity first starts exploring the universe and we have rules that most would follow. When we'll all be under one banner for the time being. Though id expect it to last for a few century's maybe more before humanity starts splintering off to form other factions with their own goals in mind. By then it be anyone's game. Its more then likely there will be a faction or several factions that would take over worlds, pillage and slaughter for the heck of it or for whatever other reason they deem. Like space Marauders, pirates or Gia forbid Xenophobic fanatics, oh wait shed like that wouldn't she.)
She did have a lot of good points, but some of them were a bit on the iffy side for me.

Judging by the end of the story, these aliens conquered and enslaved humanity. Then humanity rebelled, seized control of the alien's ships and tech, and started prosecuting a war on the alien empire in such a way that the aliens have no idea how to deal with it. Under those circumstances, it sounds like any inhibitions humanity might have had on warfare got thrown out the window on the way of throwing off the alien yoke.
IOW, humanity's not being peaceful and diplomatic because the aliens gave them every reason to not be peaceful.

when the world has gone through so many potential extinction events including before multicellular life (ice age and the great oxidation event where the world got to much oxygen and nearly wiped out everything before it really started) and even current ones (in the span of 40 000 years ago to modern times) ... ofcourse you're gonna breed aggressive lifeforms because you're always competing for scarce food/hunting ground and drinkable water not to mention the predators ( need i mention the sabre tooth tigers and the other nasties ? )

Other than that, I loved how you switched voices in this one.
Still it is a unique feature of humanity. Without it we would have never gotten to where we are today let alone where we will be in the future.

Second time around with this playlist , i was moved to tears with "Level with me", laughed with "Lablonnamedadon, but this , this pissed me off this time. Where's our Father in all this? She claiming his works as her own, is just not right.
Our spur and terror since we first knew ourselves, is absent. The one god we have dedicated and keep on dedicating countless temples, the one to whom we sacrifice so much of our own even now, is absent. Not mentioned!
Its not right I say ! It is unjust to omit our Father, who is definitely not in some remote heaven but walks among us.
it was His influence that drove us on. It was because of Him we developed civilisations. it is Him we seek to evade among the stars.
He has been our one true enemy and our greatest blessing, from the start. One day we will defeat Him. One day we will break His hold on our necks and walk free.
IDk what we will look like, or how we will think, i don't even know if it is possible to keep on existing without Him.

This could’ve been a story where Mother Earth and Death have an arguement and philosophical debate over who was better, but agreeing the fact that their creation of humanity will eventually dominate the galaxy. Still this story is great though
