My favorite TTRPG is Savage Worlds. Simple, fast, focus on RP, and more versatile than GURPS with a lot fewer books. If you're talking D&D versions, Pathfinder is the one I used most recently, and (IMO) is better than first or second edition, which is what I played before. Remember folks, no D&D is better than bad D&D, and if the group you're in is toxic, dump them until something better comes along.
I love nWoD vampire was just murder hobo, so evil so much fun. Vampire ally between me and the hunter Me: shoot the hunter GM: your at penalty to avoid hitting ally Me: why would I avoid hitting him
More Creature 88 sooner please! Thank you for everything. You are easily the best HFY narrator there is. I know Agro is the heavy hitter but I honestly have never been able to make it through a whole video of his. I don't get how anyone can listen to him. You are hands & feet above him!
I have now listened through all your recordings. You have developed and become a really good voice actor. seeing a notification that you released a new recording is the highlight of the week for me. Looking forward to the next chapter.
@@tonyoliver4920 i have one build for 3.5. His name is Saint Tango. He's lord of the dance, has a butt naked AC of 42, and and can kill evil creatures using a touch attack that hits their dexterity points, rather than their hitpoints. I wouldn't let someone play this build even though I made it.
omg. hella action scene!! loved it I haven't played ant DND/ttrpgs yet but I really wanna. I've had this idea for a naive kobold that wants to become a dragon.
I like plenty of systems. Played DnD 3.5e diablo, Lord of the Rings, Mutant and, being a Swede, Drakar och Demoner 91 edition. My favorite is Drakar och Demoner (DoD) at the moment, due to it being very heavilly focused on actual roleplay and it is "easy" to die if you don't think :) DnD is too combat focused for me. Having a session tomorrow, saturday the 15th. Three 41 year olds, a 39 year old DM and two a little younger. Gonna be fun since not playing for...10 years minimum
Oh, yes! I remember those. My box was the blue one before they came out in color. Was a present from my Dad, then I discovered PH, DMG and MM were the ones used by the local college gaming group (half of whom did war games) and I ended up getting Melee and Wizard on clearance because other club members had them, and I could afford them better than the books. I did get the books a few months later, broke college student solutions: get what works as a stop gap... Upgrade when you can afford it.
I'm going to be playing D&D 5e in a few hours, over video. I'm in France, my crew is spread across America (all originally from Houston). I have no shame in saying that I'd play D&D 3.5. It was a solid system, and was ruined by 4.x. More than them, I'd play me some Vampire: the Masquerade. Beyond that, I would play the fuck out of Eclipse Phase. It's on obscure game, but it's dope as Hell. I love the worldbuilding, and I love system. Y'all narrators need to coordinate when you work on people's stuff. I know NetNarrator is also doing Deathworlders, but... once I've heard you do it, I can't listen to anybody else. AgroSquirrel started Dungeon Life, and it's amazing. Then NetNarrator started it, and... meh. But NetNarrator has Hunter or Huntress, and he's got We Need a Deatworlder, and A Job for a Deathworlders. It's nothing to do with who's better, it's just about who gets it first. But for real, I think these new bloods need to start doing the other Canonical Deathworlder stories. Henosis, for example. The one with the violin player. The Byron Group story. (Sorry, my brain just has them has parts of the monolithic world, so i don't have names for them.) Someone find Diamond Willow and ask her to do a shorter series. And Amie's Literary Empire. I want an all audio collection of all the canonical Deathworlder stories, expecially now that they're done. I want to encourage others to write more stories in that world. There could be some amazing stories about small-scale battles between Rauwrhyr and remnant Hunters, or details of the Robalin civil war. It's touched on in the story, but there's plenty of room for other authors. I've noticed that there were plenty of people helping with stories early on, but there's been only stuff by Hambone. I want more. So much more.
At this point I only play AD&D. 5e just... it's too superhero-y. No gritty dungeoneering or narrowly fighting realistic overland encounters. Just, "oh shit, we need to keep the theatre kids engaged and tell a story.' Nah. Screw that. Give me an a town, dungeon, and a fragment of a map. We'll figure it out. Die or go broke. Or succeed and become the new nearby lord. Let's find out.
@@pulverize3 Yeah, I'm aware of what went down. That doesn't change that I enjoy the 5e system and that it would work obscenely well for the kind of game I would want to run.
The preacher voice is ridiculous and I love it, almost exactly as I imagined it
IS GOD DAM CREATURE 88 LETS GOOOOO🥳
Seen the story before but I love your narration
Heroes Unlimited is my go to role playing board game

This series needs to be turned into a cyberpunk edge runners type anime and/or video game.
Thankyou
World of darkness , vampire, werewolf, mage , yeah that's my jam and I'm happy to use all of the systems in my games

gonna get a chance to play a Powered by the Apocalypse - Masks: A New Generation here really soon and im so excited!
It's been 83 years
Go back to sleep grandpa
I'm approaching 45 years playing. Congratulations on the long life and hope it was happy times.
Pathfinder 1e is the best so far, though I have so many house rules I've stolen from so many editions. especially with Spheres of Power.
I play 5e the most but looking for alternatives because wizards shouldn't get any more of my money
Although yes I want to see more of this, deathworlders has gotten so good
3.5 is fine. But if you collect the books, the power creep is real. You could also do more in combat than 5e.
Some of my builds where crazy broken

personally my go to is always gonna be pathfinder 2e it’s just so much freedom and i have the best memories tied to it.

Original Advanced d%d like first edition with books after the box set that had a crayon to color in the dice.

@Sheryl Cascadden roger that. City state was the first "module" I ever did.
sounds like the film the warriors

I play 5e and love it, hoping to DM at some point once I've got more experience under my belt (been playing less than a year)
Be carefull with 5e. Wizards of the cost hates their fans. Its fun to play but what they tried is unforgivable.
