Bro, lol t Jodeci and new jack swing is literally where the music evolved and started using hip-hop beats and proper gangsta rappers.
Jodeci were affiliated with death row records and appeared alot on their videos and music.
As for new jack swing, that's the jumping off point of for the more upbeat and uptempo r'n'b music getting away from your luther Vandross's etc etc. you got it all wrong bruh
