I have no intentions of ever giving birth but I'm so glad there's someone like Meg who is talking about pregnancy this way. Far too often the only post baby fitness content is how to lose the baby weight.
You look beautiful! I’m not a mom, but as a woman I have so much respect for women who share the normalcy of the post-partum body! You’re a wonderful role model!!
I was so confused when you started to talk about exercise so soon after giving birth, but my fears were unfounded. Deep breaths are exercise when you've gone through childbirth -- thanks for even putting that into words 🤗 Hope you are doing wel 🥰💕
I’m almost 32 weeks pregnant with our third baby. Your tummy will most likely continue to go down. Your body will become stronger and go back together. I always give myself 1 year to get back to “normal”. Your body may be different than before the baby, but it’s not a bad different. It’s just a new normal if that makes sense. Usually my body is back to its pre pregnant size by 9 months postpartum.
I only have one daughter, but my labor and delivery was VERY traumatic, almost had to have a section. I couldn't even start basic exercise until I was 8 months postpartum, and my body didn't go back to looking like it did until she was around 15/16 months old. I still have the line that goes from your bellybutton, some diastasis, but I'm finally strong again and she's 18months.
So I’m 8 weeks postpartum and I’m trying to be nice to myself when it comes to working out and getting back to my pre-baby body. Thank you so much for this and the realism. ❤️
I was so interested with how my body morphed after my pregnancies. I took so many nekkid photos of myself just to journal the process 🖤😂 You guys look like you’re thriving - congratulations 🖤🖤🖤
Kudos to you for doing an physique update. From what I’ve seen from friends…when you exercise during pregnancy, you’ll get back in shape more easily. Precious baby! Enjoy every moment.
When I was immediately postpartum, it actually helped me to think about not just contracting my pelvic floor but focusing on the upward motion and making my vagina really tall. And that helped everything feel stronger faster.
Well I'm not yet planning on getting pregnant but I'm definitely buying your program when I am cause no matter how my priorites change during that course of my life, I want to stay being as strong as I can be at what stage I am in. This is amazing what you are doing!
After having my third son I was finally aware of DR. I focused on DR exercises I could find on UA-cam as the sole focus of my PP recovery along with yoga and Pilates to ease myself back into weight lifting. I’m no doctor and am just working on my CPT, but I think that a lot of women need to be aware of the issues with distasis recti and what exercises can actually further that issue. I was able to go from 3 finger separation to about a 1. I still have it a little but I think that after three kids it’s kind of normal to a degree. Hope all new mommas out there allow themselves to heal and don’t be afraid to ask for help! ❤️
The whole process of how bodies change during and after pregnancy (and that includes YEARS after) is so fascinating. I had my first 14 years ago and am now 28weeks pregnant with twins and I'm so curious to see how my body is going to look postpartum compared to the last time considering all the differences between the two pregnancies. Such a cool experience. Loved this video so much!
I started walking ten days postpartum for 20 mins for a few days and every time I did that my bleeding would amplify so I just stopped altogether and took it as a sign that my body just wasn’t ready for any type of exercise.
Watch really little kids squat, we're born with perfect form. We get older and lazy then all have bad backs by the time we're 40. $1,000,000 says this kid doesn't have that problem 😁
I’m currently in the TTC stage and using your Plus+1 programming. I love it, the connection breathing has been difficult but I think I have a decent grip on it. I also have loved all these videos for someone like me who has no idea what to expect from pregnancy, delivery, or post partum. Thanks for being so open and honest with all of us.
You look a-okay. Baby to baby it varies. Kid one I looked about like you. Kid two I was waaay bigger at one week. Kid three it was like I didn't have a baby at all. Roll of the dice! I swam, biked, ran, and lifted through all three. Weight gain through pregnancy was wildly different each time too. All was well.
I recommended your channel to my wife and she loves your content. It's hard to find someone that is knowledgeable and down to earth....keep up the good work!
As a pelvic PT this connection breath (I like to call it belly breathing) is the #1 priority for me and my patients! Love that you’re sharing this information and encouraging starting with the basics and not rushing into anything, but also not doing nothing and expecting to go full blast at 6 weeks! Congrats on your recent birth!
I’m 1 year pp. I lost water weight for almost a month. We did lots of walking with the carrier the first 5 weeks because it’s also great for baby’s head control. Congrats!
I am not pregnant nor interested in the near future at all, but Meg I think you underestimate the value of these videos for literally everyone. Pregnancy is such a foreign topic (at least in America) and I literally had no idea about any of the bathroom situations or anything. It makes it a lot less scary with how much you're sharing and how vulnerable you're being saying that you had no idea about some of this stuff either. I love every second of this series and my admiration for your strength just increases with each video🥺
I remember messaging you on a IG Story when you were asking for suggestions and I mentioned Dermoplast being a must!!! I'm so glad it worked well for you!! The Tucks pads were nice too!
Your baby is so cute!! Congrats to your little family! I just started in my workout journey and I really wish I had been this fit before I had my kids! It will be much easier for you to bounce back then if you were out of shape 👍❤️ so good job!
Meg are you wearing any type of tummy compression? After I gave birth the nurses told me to wear compression style shorts that came up to the belly, basically like spanks. They also gave me a band for my belly, they said it was to make sure all the organs went back in the right place.
Wow, I didn’t know you before but I could deeply relate with the internal self talk about bouncing back to myself, to the things that “make me, me” and not to be seeing by others like “less than”. I couldn’t put it into words but hearing you made so much sense, so thanks for being vulnerable and opening this space for dialogue
I am not getting pregnant anytime soon, but I am planning on getting pregnant in a few years and all of your video's and updates definetely make me less scared. Thanks Meg, keep on doing what you're doing ❤
I have a almost 16 year old and 8 year old. I wasn’t into Fitness or body anything with my first and I was working out, latest dropped a ton of weight and eating clean with my 2nd. I wish I had this series after having my kiddos. Good Job mama and congratulations again 🎊🎉💕
I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed your videos. I just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and I am learning so much. I am not a power lifter or body builder but I do want to do make the most of my time at the gym and use proper form, learn new things to try. Your videos are engaging, educational and you are fun to watch- love your cute personality. Thank you for sharing your expertise. And congratulations on your baby.
Such great content - love that you mentioned body checking isn’t always healthy but that you’re confident. It’s great seeing your confidence grow and mommy heart soaring. Congrats!
The best thing I ever did with both of my postpartum care was to wear a postpartum girdle, it helped me feel so supported. I had 2 c sections but they are the best, anyone knows how your abdomen feels like jelly for a while haha
Meg, you're such an inspiration. Im a year postpartum and struggling with diastasis recti. Can you show us exercises to fix it and which to avoid? Thanks, congratulations 💝✨
Thank you!, Thank you! Thank you! for being so real and showing us how normally the postpartum stage looks like, and yes it is healthy that you show us women and everyone that this is the normal body recovery process of a woman's body after giving birth, you don't have any idea how positive and happy this video made me feel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Meg! and by the way you look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! OMG!
Going through postpartum weight loss is hard! Incorporating my normal workout routine after birth is hard since I found myself so weak even after a month already. I found acv gummies to help with my energy and bloating and the one that worked so well for me is the one from baby blues. Lifesaver indeed!
Congratulations you look great!!!! Postpartum was pretty mellow for me but I love how you’re normalizing how the body changes. My core is still pretty weak no matter how much I train sadly.
Great video, Meg!!! You and your baby are so awesome! Do you mind sharing what cream you used before and after pregnancy on your belly? Your skin looks amazing!
Hi! She has shared about this on her Instagram. She shared the lotions she uses, nothing special. She also talked about how stretch marks are mostly genetic.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I'm expecting in January and this will be of great help to mentally prepare with how my body is going to change. You rock, Meg.🤗💕
Hey Meg! Thanks for the great content. Would you mind linking the postpartum undies you liked? I’m about 6 weeks behind you and love all of the advice!!
We can always work on our body and I want kids I know. In have to work on self confidence as my body will change big time and natural beauty is key and you still look. Good and strong x
I found incontinence pants a game changer - they are comfortable if you've torn and good for keeping pads and dressing in place and you can be sure they won't leak - seems you have the same idea.
Girl I’m almost 9 months post with my 3 baby and I haven’t gotten back in shape…sad story is that I used to be a personal trainer and I can’t get myself back :(
You're a mom! You have another life to take care of. I hope I'm not crossing a line here but you shouldn't put pressure on yourself to get back to your pre baby body. Your body created a human being, it should be admired for what it created and nurtured rather than stifled for not looking like it did before. The pressure society puts on women is obscene.
You have birthed three babies! Your body created life again and again! Please be kind to yourself. You are raising three human beings! You are where you need to be🌈❤
I have five kids, and the belly going back to normal takes the longest. If you think about it, out entire insides were pushed up into our rib cage. You look amazing mamma!!

Yes having kids natural. I know my stomach. Will hang as struggle with it already but I try and keep. It up x

Can you please elaborate on the elongating your vagina??

Tucks pads and peri bottles! I busted them out again after an ironman chafe mishap 🤣🤣
Your baby is so cute!! Congrats to your little family!

We need more videos like this. Real shit.

Thank you for sharing and talking about all of this. It’s nice to get a small idea of what to expect!
8 months pregnant with my first and your pregnancy videos have been giving me such peace of mind ❤️
You are absolutely glowing! Congratulations on your new gift. ❤
As someone who's a father with a background in medicine, this is good stuff. The honesty that you're displaying about this is VERY much appreciated.
I LOVE that you are so humble and human I will continue to follow your progress 💕 Congrats on your adorable baby ❤
Thank you for this video! I’m three weeks postpartum after a c-section, it’s been rough. I can’t wait to get active again. You look great, congrats!
Omg💕 congratulations ❣️ welcome to the world little one❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
So excited for this nice to c u back

Yes I had compression underwear and it feels awesome to have something to help keep your guts together.
I found one and loved it! It made me feel strong when I knew I wasn’t quite as strong as I’d used to be lol
Meg, you're such an inspiration. Im a year postpartum and struggling with diastasis recti. Can you show us exercises to fix it and which to avoid?
Thanks, congratulations 💝✨
Thank you so much for sharing. This helps me more than you can imagine. You are helping many ppl for sure!
I love your lil family . Congratulations on everything 🥰

Congratulations on the addition to your new familia! Hopefully he'll be squatting deadlifting and bench pressing soon?
Correction on my previous post she not he she will be powerlifting soon
I return to light resistance training around 7-8 weeks postpartum. Will share as I go - but that’s the plan assuming I continue healing like I am!
Congratulations Megan!!! All the best of wishes for you and your family.

This is awesome! I have 4 children (we are done having kiddos) and wish there was this much info available when I first had them.
Ohhhh, Meg 😍 you are so beautiful, mama! Been watching you for years now and it’s so cool seeing your baby!!!!!
I used both their dermaplast and the earth mamma. I put the earth mamma in the fridge and it helped soooo much! Congrats!
Congratulations! Glad you are both healthy which is what matters most! Look forward to seeing your progress👍🏼
Love your outfit and your baby. Thanks for sharing this girl.
Congratulations you look great!!!! Postpartum was pretty mellow for me but I love how you’re normalizing how the body changes. My core is still pretty weak no matter how much I train sadly.

@@loveb55 thanks! I don't have Instagram but good to know.
No research supports that any one product or ingredient is helpful! Just whatever moisturizer you like!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I'm expecting in January and this will be of great help to mentally prepare with how my body is going to change. You rock, Meg.🤗💕
Love the T-shirts👌🏾
Cool. I wish this program existed when I had my 3 kids. Had to get back in shape 3 times, largely by winging it and making mistakes.
Hey Meg! Thanks for the great content. Would you mind linking the postpartum undies you liked? I’m about 6 weeks behind you and love all of the advice!!

Congrats she's beautiful! Where you able to train in the first trimester? I'm struggling but really want to keep active x
Why do I want to cry. Extremely happy for you ❤️
Thanks for sharing Meg. You are awesome to share this with us. May God bless you and your family :)

Congratulations! Nice to see some healthier discussion of this topic than the usual.
Thanks for sharing! I love seeing someone being realistic!

Omg❣️ thank you so much for sharing your beautiful family ❤️💕
Congratulations and you look beautiful ❤️
I found incontinence pants a game changer - they are comfortable if you've torn and good for keeping pads and dressing in place and you can be sure they won't leak - seems you have the same idea.
Thank you for sharing your journey!
This stuff is awesome I want to archive it for when I have children!!!

Thank you so much ladies…I just started a UA-cam channel…would gladly Appreciate it if you subscribed, if not it’s ok…but thank you.
I have five kids, and the belly going back to normal takes the longest. If you think about it, out entire insides were pushed up into our rib cage. You look amazing mamma!!
Great video as always.
Meg you’re cool af
Congratulations 💕
Awww....great to see Little Meg, the future strength athlete! Whoop whoop
The diapers are seriously the best 🤣 always my number 1 recommendation to new moms
Congratulations ! All the best to parenthood !
Congratulations!
Congratulations! She's a beautiful baby.💟
Beautiful, healthy little baby!
Freckles on fleek 😋
What!! Didn’t realize this! Congrats!
I slimmed down pretty quick after giving birth ( couple of months, not days!!) and was told by all the older women around me that it was because I was breast feeding
You are awesome! This is so helpful!!
Wow! You were prescribed hydrocodone? They sent me home with ibuprofen and senna only. Senna is a stool stimulator. It made me cramp up sometimes in my stomach but it helped keep stool moving along so I wouldn't get constipated. Although it didn't really work that well lol. After a couple days of walking around some, I regulated on my own again. Also, I hated the dermaplast. It actually stung for me. But I might be allergic to "cain" pain killers (benzocain, novocain, lidocaine, even the epidural gave me some issues)
are you wearing a faja? its supposed to help with DR...i didnt wear mine consistently after my first but will be in a few months after we deliver my first boy! i think its best to wear it asap as your body is still so elastic..i had an 8lb+ and had a big bump too
Hi, Madame you are always beautiful and cher in and out Your spirit is magico i support you forever and i salute you to ITALY TAKE CARE Maurizio. Very happy for Your baby, compliments.
Very interesting videos. So happy for you.
Great content! - sincere question though: when developing or considering a pre-natal or post-partum workout program, how do you measure recovery time in conjunction with the increased "healing/building" time/energy/resources a pre- or post-baby body needs? What metrics are used to determine what resources are required by the body in a pre- and post-natal context?
Take time to get back to normal because right now Water and air you look amazing 👍🏻💪🏻
A good idea for the meal thing is also gifting hello fresh gift cards or asking for them in the registry
Love this, so informative
Absolutely Amazing!!! She's beautiful (baby) and of course mommy too!
