The latter ones certainly are bawdy, even crass and immature but the black and white films and the early colour, like Cruising and even Jack although they have a fair amount of innuendo are certainly not bawdy, comedic but not immature with a few exceptions of a few scenes like the splitting of the gym shorts in Teacher and the daffodil in Nurse. It’s really from Doctor that the bawdiness starts to become the main stay, Cleo had aspects of it in 1964 but it was not until doctor in 1967 where it becomes the main stay.

Sid James getting betting tips from a budgie I remembered but couldn't recall the title from that still. Would have been better to show a picture with Kenneth Cope, (also known as Marty Hopkirk in Randall and Hopkirk) as the shop steward.
Did this one as a chorus with my Mum - we got 27/30. Easily identified Nurse as it was one of the early B&W films but we both were completely befuddled by Matron, Doctor and Again Doctor.
30/30 it was never in doubt, my dad raised me on these, have them all on vhs and committed to memory if I’m honest! My fave scene is the dinner party from up the kyber, Sir and Lady Ruffdiamond, Major Shorthouse, Capt. Keen, Princess Jelli acting like nothing was going on as the residence is under attack and brother belcher going dolally! Classic

Every one correct. Love the Carry on films. Carry on Cruising ("oh the ship's growing") was the first one filmed in colour and Don't lose your head has a brilliant line in it. "Well it's marvelous what you can do with a bit of padding, if I could just have a bit of a prod." Superb
Many of them were made near where I lived. Windsor, Slough and Maidenhead were all popular locations, because they were close handy to Pinewood. The outside of (the then new) Maidenhead Town Hall was used for the hospital in Carry On Doctor; my mum accidentally appeared, going in to pay the mortgage payment!

It’s three in the morning. Just woke up in pain again. This came up so had a chuckle down memory lane. At least I don’t have dementia. 8 seconds for carry on behind new the film struggled with title. All the rest in 2 seconds or under. But I’m old and taped them of the telly when vcr was finally invented. Then box set when dvd invented. But thanks and carry on. Dads army or last summer wine. For the next time I need to take my mind of the pain. It helped. Nothing like a good chuckle.
Can't get enough I'm always watching them Ive got all of them on DVD collected but if they are on TV I still watch them forget other films I'd rather carry on

The “Carry on” 🎥 films🎞 certainly are a great series. Some of the earlier films are certainly better, and funnier, than the later editions. There was a TV 📺 comedy 🎭 series “ Carry on Laughing” in the 1970s with a really zany signature tune.🎶 Correct me if I’m wrong, I think there was a stage production “Carry on London.” Thanks for another inspiring Quiz!!😃

I got three wrong - I kicked myself for not getting Camping, but I'm sure there was a cinema scene in At Your Convenience too (but if I'd paid more attention to the actors I'd have realised it was Camping). I failed on Matron and Loving because my brain isn't as quick as it used to be!
You are correct, the bosses son takes his fancy piece to the cinema to see a film and she was disgusted with him but it was midway through convenience, in camping the cinema scene was at the start.
Absolutely spot on. They try to remake these films but with no success. First of all the calibre of the comedy actors doesn’t exist anymore and second humour has changed. It was suggestive but everything is just shock value in your face humour that isn’t really funny. 🇬🇧👍
I had an idea it was. Portent for the future or what? Another thing about Screaming - the part of Inspector Bung was written for Sid James but he couldn't appear because he was busy doing 'Bless This House'. Explains why the character's first name is Sidney.

I can't get enough of these films, they are so hilariously bawdy and immature yet so perfectly British I love it. And I'm 25

I always confuse Doctor and Again, Doctor. Probably because Jim Dale plays the doctor in both.
