- A quick demo of the Peavey Stereo Chorus 212 solid state combo with 16 on-board digital effects (reverb, delay, stereo chorus).
Unedited recording and no post processing. Recorded with a SM57.
I sold a version of this years ago, I regret it to this day. It made the most amazing feedback.
One of the best combo's out there period! So underrated that they sell for pennies,I will buy every one of them up when I see them. Love the transtube line also.
Old yank Peavey is class, just about indistructable and amazing tones! ... Loud as ..... too!
this series of peavey combos have such a delicious stereo chorus. that supersat gain is way gnarly too. very pantera.
Been with mine since the 80s. Has performed to many to list here types of music. Would replace asap. Has never let me down. A true workhorse.
Absolutely, yes.
There are 2 pre-amp inputs on the back.
With 2 pre-amp outputs, you can run the effected signal thru 2 other amp/cabs - 3-ring circus style
Thank you very much for this demo, one of the best if not THE best demos i have seen of an amp on youtube. A demo the way it should be, just showing the amp , hearing all the different sounds and NO talking , EXCELLENT 10/10 ! well done , killer amp
Matt Kenyon yes......exactly.....not running it through software and refining it to sound how ever anyone likes.....thank you
And fantastic playing! Not out of tune and shit. Lol. I feel you on the no talking thing though. I mean it’s okay to talk but be short and sweet not awkward and long winded. It’s like a porn with hella dialogue. Who cares about the story and words.. just fast forward and get to the goods already!! Ha!! 🤘🏾🤣

This amp is by far my favorite of all the old Peavey solid state amps. The guitarists in one of my old bands in the 90's had one of these and holy crap that amp was tough surviving countless gigs. I would often borrow it however for studio work as I just ADORED the clean sound that made single-coil electric guitars sound almost like acoustic guitars. The digital FX were also pristine and the stereo chorus just lovely.
One little trick also is that it's the only amp that I've ever used that could get a PERFECT Type-O-Negative "Bloody Kisses" album guitar tone by using the stereo chorus in combination with the lead channel..
for sure. it absolutely nails that type o sound. and now i remember why i love chorus + distortion.
Just bought this amp for $30, everything works, Hell Yeah!
Woow. Where did u get this for $30?!
bullshit lol
not impossible, mine was 100, all working.
It's true. Was on Craigslist and I didn't even have to drive a mile to get it. Plus I have the original pedal and it sounds amazing in my opinion. I also found a Renown 400 locally for $75 with the footswitch. Sometimes I run them both together just to be ridiculous, but sounds amazing. Nice demo, Btw.
Well. I just found a fully functioning Blues Deluxe reissue fender tube amp in a trash can, if you can believe it. I shit you not.
thanks for doing this with a Strat - was debating buying one of these and this pushed me to "yes" just the sound i was looking for clean and light chorus
i use it as a monitor for my line 6 hd 500 modeling pedal. i plug the stereo outputs into the amps power amp inputs as my balanced outputs go to the house. this amp saved my life one day. i was carrying it down a flight of stairs when i caught my foot on a tread bringing me to my knees. somehow this very heavy amp got caught on a railing and held me back from falling to this day i can't figure out how it happened but ill never get rid of it.
Kevin Ferry I have the 400 and am thinking it would make for a great slave for the HD400 on the clean channel. The thing, is this the stereo head or just a dual channel amp with lots of head room on the clean channel. Are there any other good things about it. The reason i ask, is if its heavy as hell it may not be worth the trouble. I m thinking it would have to have take your eyes out to ring them out tone. I haven t had but one or at best two amps in 30 years that held that up and they both were a fortune.. anything you can offer would help. jed T
the stereo chorus amp does have a stereo pre amp but i bypassed the pre amp by plugging into the rear power amp stereo inputs. this made it a very powerfull stereo power amp that did not color the line six. in this mode the peavey only used the master volume. it is very loud and very clean perfect as a monitor for the hd 500.
I do understand what you have explained, I ve slaved several times an assortment of amps into other amps or I suppose using the effects loop instead of direct to the input side of the amp. I appreciate your time and effort. One of the concerns now is that the Power amp being the direct in without the preamp. I have no problem with one volume on the power amp side. Because there are many ways to set volume through the HD series Enjoy your week and and its my want for others to read these type of text to aid them in such efforts to deal with alternative opportunities. thanks
for a while i didnt understand fully the function of the power amp in
and pre amp out jacks but i have used stereo effects since i got hold of a ZOOM 9002 strap mounted effects processor and had to have 2 amps for true stereo separation to the confusion of many a band mate. i have since set up stereo rack mounted systems with mixers on board. i use the mixers when i use several inputs like midi keyboards and backing tracks. these i run through a line 6 stereo cabinet (not full range unfortunately), but when the whole band is together the peavey is a great monitor when on a tilt back stand. For small get togethers i would use a roland mobile ex monitor amp but i like to have at least 8 channels when ever possible. the ipod controlled systems are a likely possibility for the future.
At a earlier decade the use of a stereo amp. Especially a peavey made multiple source sound like the band was already playing as long as the in.....didn't have extra instruments. If it was basic and you let the life play do the fills and intimate parts.....vocals and lead so that human interpretation of the when and the good stuff didn't become sterile like today's slick stuff. The band could live to impress. Like the guitarist that play 3 part instrumentals. That's how I thought led zeppelin was so good. I thought Jim my was playing he's ass off. Instead of looping it on cue
I just bought this exact amp. Your video sold me on it. Mine has the master volume which is an excellent feature. I can easily control the volume at bedroom levels.
I bought one new back in early 80s, still have it, great for clean and nice crunch too.
My first amp was a Rage and a SC-212 was my second. Pretty heavy nostalgia from this wave of Peavey love these days and UA-cam.
You got talent! Congrat!
I own the same amp since more than 17 years and i still love that amp.
I could have had one of these amps WITH a Gibson LP for $700.00 back in about 1988 or 89. Worked at a plant here in South Louisiana and it was Christmas time. Ole boy needed quick cash to get gifts. My lord, if only we could go back huh??
Peavey has always had a wide line of sound equipment and have produced many innovative design patents over the years.
yep/ Peavey
vintage peavey!
This Peavey Stereo Chorus model is the 2nd generation design, having 2 extra controls on the face:
1) 3-BAND EQ knob on the crunch/lead channel vs 2-band
2) MASTER VOLUME knob, which will really help out as a balanced clean boost with the crunch/lead channels.
It is superior to the Roland and Fender chorus amps in that there are actually TWO amps that create REAL stereo (a dry amp WITH an effects mixed amp!).
There are 4 pre-amp in/out jacks - so you can use the amp to slave 2 other amps!!!
The Roland also has two power amps as well 60W x 2 I believe.
GREAT DEMO CLIP SHOWING THE VERSATILITY OF THE AMP!
The Peavey Stereo Chorus amps are tremendous:
2 pre-amp outputs
2 pre-amp inputs
On-board reverbs and delays
3 channels
With 2 pre-amp outs, you can slave 2 other amps - IN TRUE STEREO, RH AND LH - using, say, a 112 combo on one side and a head/412 on the other.
Roland or Fender chorus amps do not have that capability.
Peavey made a 210 Chorus and a 208 Backstage Chorus version of this amp, and I have them to make a "3-ring chorus circus".
I have this one and the 50 classic. This stereo chorus amp I shall never part with. This amp has the most beautiful sound.
I've had this exact amp for one year now and I'll never need another amp
Just bought one used off of Guitar Center for $159. I don't care much about the fx or gain channels, but these have impressive clean head room, are cheap, and take pedals well. I guess I should have bought a back brace to move it around. Thanks for the demo!
Agreed "UnsFor" they're probably one of the fewest amps that so versatile and powerful but they sound better to me with Celestian Greenbacks because the voicing sounds very sweet and these Scorpions tend to make the amp sound too much like an Roland 212 Jazz Chorus and god are they heavy most likely that huge Heat Sink Unit in it but the overall performance of one of these Peavey Classic 212 chorus amps are my favorite Choice as long as you use an Stereo BBE Sonic Maximizer and change the speakers to Celestians oh and don't forget that if you really don't want to tamper with the factory Speakers..then could also hook it up with an Extension Cabinets of (2) 212 or (4) 10's much like a Fender Super Reverb and beautiful voicinging especially if you got an Eventide or TC electronics Stereo Chorus..absolutely lush sound and with the Stereo swurl and the BBE Sonic Maximizer tweaked just right..you cannot go wrong and you'll absolutely cut through the live stage mix while even being able to actually TURN DOWN your volume~~
I had one of these in the '90s the last band I was in love the amp great amp plenty of volume plenty of power. I just got another one for $160, the chorus doesn't work but it is stereo when the footswitch is on. I've got a chorus pedal so it still works for me! Love it! Great demo 👊😎🎸
I've got an amp just like this on bench for repair and the chorus doesn't work . Any ideas as why it doesn't ?
Well said, it is a POWERHOUSE AMP.
That is because it has 2 separate amps built in - for TRUE STEREO capabilities.
A solid-state that weighs more than a tube.
the only solid-state i’ve ever chosen over 75% of tube amps
@@BradsGonnaPlay I agree I own one and it owns my mesa, marshall and any other tube amp I put it up against! No joke, shimmering cleans, beautiful rock and heavy metal,it's all there for the musician to coax out of it.
it's a beast
it's 212 with die cast speakers, it's natural.
@@pcgspot5701 You might be right. I own one too, the teal stripe 212 but without the master volume. I haven't hooked it up in years, and I've been playing a Mesa Mk 1 reissue. I'm real curious about my Preavey SC 212 again, to give it another go.
had 3 peaveys love them, think this should on the cards for nearby future, wanted a stereo chorus "roland jazz" amp and I think this will do the job, reverb and chorus sound as "lush" as ever they were from that time period...excellent
As someone who owns a jc120, this amp sounds incredible as well
had one of these ,and a peavey tracer and vandenberg guitar. and it sounded amazing.
I just picked one up. Thanks for letting me know what it can do. Cheers.
the reason people liked these is because they were one of the first to have built in digital effects. then there is the three channels (a big deal before all the modeling amps of today) and last but not least THE POWER. This thing is a monster. It can easily push 2 4X12 cabs to their limits.
I had one in the 2000's..I swear it would peel paint from the walls..Very powerful.
It was great for Toni Iommi Sabbath tunes..Great clean distortion set up. LOUD!!!!
That's an understatement! I found a used one last year, plugged it in and heard nothing but feedback until I saw where the volume was half way up! Bout shit my pants🤣🤣🤣
Wow ! Excellent guitar playing and great sounding amp. I've got one in a closet collecting dust but now..... after this video just reminded me of what the amp can do, I better drag her out.
This was the second amp I ever owned great amp super loud 80,s rock was awsome on this but what was even better was a ts9 tube screamer on the clean channel with a strat it howled
Agree, it is indeed LOUD :)
Yes, used a strat to do something different than all the all-metal videos up here.
Had one of these for 20 years still going strong
Nice review not like some thrash metal workouts
Cheers
😀🎸
Used to have one of these. Loudest thing ever. Good luck anyone trying to steal it. It would give you a hernia. I replaced scorpion speakers with celestion g12t75 and it sounded really good.
I don't think it is a copy. But it has some of the same features: A very clean solid state sound and a powerful chorus.
I had two Marshall JCM800s in chorus and they sounded awesome but they always needed work like tubes and biasing, sold them and bought the Peavey chorus 400 and its been working for years , 70s model I think
I just picked up an old but well kept Crate GFX 212, I had one years ago and I know it’s a “brown sound” machine, if you’re into a Van Halen tone anyway. It’s all what your ear likes, rock on!
I found that amp too a couple years ago. Haven't put it thru its paces yet. Good to know it can get a "brown sound" 😊
I had one of these back in the late 80's and early nineties and blew the speakers in it twice! and yes it did weigh as much as a tube amp. You've got a really happenin' tone on the lead channel btw.
excellent demo
excellent playing, and demo!!!
MY FRIEND THE REASON WHY THIS AMP GET SO MUCH ATTENTION IS BECAUSE IT HAS TRUELY PRISTINE CLEANS AND TAKES PEDALS EXTREMELY WELL AND MADE TO LAST A LIFE TIME YOUR BUYING INTO THE TUBE THING WHICH ARE GOOD FOR LIMITED APPLICATIONS...GUITARIST WHOM HAVE PLAYED FOR OVER 30 YEARS WILL CONFIRM GAVE UP SOMETHING THINKING BETTER WAS AVAILABLE DUE TO MODERN PREFERENCE...YOU SOUND AMAZING AND ARE A GOOD GUITARIST...YOU JUST MADE A MAJOR MAISTAKE...GET ANOTHER ONE AND REDEEM YOURSELF.
I own it; I had it serviced by a Peavey tech and immediately caused a self-induced migraine when playing it above 5 on Crunch. Very clear yet powerful. Footswitch is a must have for access to all capabilities. Master volume option is hard to find but worth the patient search. I'm still trying to tweak the Chorus to my liking, I am looking for a Lita Ford "If I close my eyes forever" tone. If I spend time with the EQ and GAIN I think I could mirror some expensive OD pedals. This amp was well worth the search. FWIW, I replaced one of the 4 ohm Black Widows with a 4 ohm JENSEN C12D that has a broader EQ range to satisfy my modelers (Line 6 Pod X3, Boss GT100 and Zoom g5). I chased these because so many other people have figured out the bugs and have found wonderful tones on the cheap.
Greetings from La Paz, Bolivia!!! 🤘🎸🔊 🇧🇴
when i get back into guitar, this is THE f***ing amp for me. regret selling this thing so much
owned one for years. this is a great amp. to say it's loud is an understatement.
ha hA HA Peavey=loud
@@michaelweinman9051 ha hA HA. Yes, ear splittingly so depending on the model. Just like literally every other brand. I get the feeling you played a 40 year old Backstage at some point and formed a very uninformed opinion.
Ever heard of the 6505?
@@Fektthis yeah had a guitar player Larry who had a 5150. He played great. He had a gigging Van Halen tribute band. I sang. The amp blasted for sure. Fun times.
@@Fektthis did a rehearsal with a dude who brought a red stripe Envoy, I think . In like 2018. Before Covid. we played Badge by Clapton. That little Peavey Raged! ha.
@@michaelweinman9051 I couldn't tell if you comment was sarcasm or not. Ughh, I went the wrong way and assumed it's on the internet it must be bad. XD Yep, Peavey's are great. Well some of them. They make some bad ones as well like everyone.
You can. If you just solder a female jack to the speakers instead of it going to the amp. But make sure you check that the Ohm and watt is compatible with whatever you're combining it with. If you also solder a male jack to the speaker cable coming from the amp, you have a totally irreversible modification. But make sure you connect it correctly so the speakers won't be out of phase.
It's John Mayer's Slow dancing in a burning room. I always use this song when testing clean channels with a strat. Like a test reference song :) Should've done AC/DC for the crunch channel though.
Found this thing in my neighborhood on some dudes lawn one mans trash is another's treasure sick demo I just need the foot switch
9:21 I hear that influence loud and clear. 🤘🏻
9:44 as well. 😅
I still have mine from 10 years ago I got from a NWI pawnshop. It's the last amp I'd sell because it does it all.
Well done. Great demo. Thanks
I saw one at a pawn shop didn’t have a handle though might go get it if it’s still there
I would. Make sure it has the foot switch with it. It's real important for this amp to have it.
Nice diverse playing styles...Just picked one of these and Heritage VTX both are serious...That feedback at the end is what peavey preamps are sooo good at...Both of mine melt right into that....Gary Rossington
Which do you like better the heritage or the stereo chorus amp?
@@CJL488vs I'll get back to you on that. The SC I only played a little last summer. Moved it's been in the closet the chorus is nice.. the other adjustable effects ie various forms of reverb and delay don't really love them there is one setting of a delay that was decent. it's fast.. You can tell it's Ss
The Heritage I have played some lately. . Just got the custom made foot switch to enable all the functions. I really did the phaser.. working man's blues to atomic punk to nobody's fault but mine.
I really like to dance however this thing so freaking powerful it's not really possible to play it loud enough indoors to get any kind of power amp sag. The reverb is mediocre. They both can play plenty loud and clean or just on the edge of break up so you can stick whatever pedal you want in front of them and they still rip. I'll get to play in them side by side again here pretty soon and then I will make a little more of a decision and how they compare as far as the flavor of the drive channels they both are pretty adjustable.
They both have scorpions in them. The VTX has one scorpion and one unknown eminence.
I have four Dean markley signature amplifiers 2 RM80 DR a single tube integrated into the preamp with an 80 watt solid State power amp.2 towing controls for both channels separately. very nice They sound really nice. Something about the flavor of that drive channel I like. And when you get the clean channel wound up pretty good it's really touch sensitive.
The other two are cd40, 3 12a X7 and 26L6s... They are fantastic. The drive channel has its own flavor. The clean side is really nice, especially when you get it ripping to being dirty.
Nice lush reverb. Switchable and adjustable effects loops.
Hi. If you want to use your Twin Tube preamp instead of the Peavey preamp you need an ordinary patch cable/jack cable.
Guitar > Twin Tube input > from Twin Tube output to Power Amp In.
I'm not 100% sure of this, but I think it might work. On newer amps it says Effects Loop, so these older terms are quite confusing to me.
Niiiice with the Deftones!
Deftones song at 11:00 IS so powerful on This AMP .
Hi there greetings from Brazil, I've recently got one of these "war tanks" but mine didn't come with the footswitch and trough the front panel I wasn't able to get any of the effects working, so I though I might need the footswitch to access the effects. Does it make any sense to you guys? Did I buy a unit with problems with the effects? Can anybody help me sort this matter out? Thank you for your time!
Hi, I can't remember, but try pulling the effects knobs on the front.
Can you run an multi effect pedal in stereo through this amp
Harley peavey was the man
"IS"! He's still with us! : )
Thanks for your reply, how does this amp compare to a Roland jc 120? Is this peavey's copy of a jazz chorus
Hey dudes!. Found a Peavey Stereo Chorus 212, in a really good shape for 139€, original footswitch included. Shoud i buy it? thanks.
Yes and replace speakers with celestion g12t75 or v30s
Yessir and enjoy
Hell yes
Just found one for $100. Pumped. Great tone for the price.
That's a bargain!
With mine it would only play one speaker, so I put patch cords in both sets of pre in / power out jacks and now it plays both speakers in mono on all channels. Turn on the chorus with the knobs turned down all the way and it's in stereo.
slow dancing in a burning room. Nice!
We have a similar one . vintage teal stripe. 208 Made in USA. cool amp. havn't gigged it yet. cheers!
THANK YOU VERY MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH!
I have a 210 and love it. $119
Have a '92 in mint shape that I'll never sell. Great on its own, but also with stereo power amp inputs it's an amazing platform to use newer preamps or modelers. The chorus on this is one of a kind. Amp is loud as hell.
Great demo of this btw
I actually like this amp. i have the 130 Classic Chorus. Some nice sounds but unsure if i like the delay/reverb on every effect.
Classic amp tho!
one of my favorite amps my dad once gave me one, used by i believe tony macalpine and it really does sound awesome especially with the chorus and reverb kicked in
TM shreds!
Great demo, If I connect to both inputs will the two signals will be mixed and sent to both speakers or there will be a separation (one signal to the LH speaker and the other signal to the RH speaker?)
I believe it's a mono input and stereo output thru 2 separate built-in amps. You could patch into the 2 amps in the back thru "power amp in" (effects returns) if you have a stereo effects pedal
This must be PeaVey version of the Roland stereo chorus. Very popular solid state guitar.
That was quick. I thought you did a fantastic job reviewing the amp. If I didn't have one I would probably be looking for one. It does sound nice for an OLD solidstate. I guess I have to just start fiddling with the plugs in the back. I was wondering if I could use it as an extension cab , bypassing the amp.
I have one got it in the 90s one of the scorpions was blown. Got the last 2 black widows at hoover music. Installed those and still play it. Thank God for the rollers on the bottom. I have several fender tube amps that I love and are lighter, but nothing will keep up with the volume of this one. We have nick named her big Delores 😂
I'm looking at one of these for gigs, do they take distortion/pedals well?
Absolutely! I would say it's a great pedal platform. It's loud af and built for stage but it's heavy. Awesome amp though🎸
THANKS TO SirGIGALOT ! I have a Peavey Studio Chrous 70 with the same outputs. After reading about this one, I tried piggybacking a Ampeg Jet12t reissue. MAGIC !!! Awesome tone and good for blues or 70 rock.
Going back to the same pawn shop to get this one here (Studio Chorus212 $200 cash) AFTER I pick up my PV DUEL 212 120 watt all tube monster ($300 cash).
PAWN SHOPS HAVE THE STUFF !!! just have to be careful to test drive them completely !
Just picked up the Peavey Stereo Chorus 212 from the same pawn shop in NWI. AWESOME !!! $200 out the door!
Got a head/stack version of this amp called Peavey Revolution. Had it 22 years and not a single problem with the amp or the 4x12 cabs. That is besides the usual inputs/outputs needing cleaning from time to time. Had the combo once as well. Peavey should reissue this with a multi effect in place of just chorus / digiverb
I have a Stereo Chorus 212 and i just bought a Revolution but i don't have a cab now. Did you tried differents cab ? What do you suggest ?
Thanks
Jo GTP Ive got a marshall 412 cab with two celestion gt75 and two v30 speakers that sounds amazing but I prefer to use it with the 2 stock 412 cabs it came with most of the time.
That amp sounds sweet!
Sweet amp...One in my area for $100
No footswitch though.
Is the footswitch required to operate the chorus and other effects?
Hi, you can operate the amp without the footswitch by using the pull/push-switches as far as I remember

Awesome thanks!
Im a beginner...what’s the learning curve like?
Is there so much here that I won’t be able to dial it in?
@@PanhandlePrepping No it's super easy to use. Can't really go wrong. 100 dollars is a very good deal. I think it goes for over 400 dollars in my country (Denmark)

Cool... cheers from Florida, mate!
Found a place selling these, brand new, for $399.
Is this a good deal?
I know others on here have found them used for under $100, but still
loud, giggable, built to last, two speakers, built in chorus, good sound...
What else could I find brand new, at this price, that would check all of these boxes?
By the way, FWIW, my guitar has humbuckers.
EDIT: the amp that's available for $399 is the Peavey SPECIAL Chorus....
You need the stereo chorus, you will never regret it unless you love heavy metal, not the amp for medal.
10:58 song name?
It's Be quiet and drive by Deftones :)
@@tammanaq I was 99% sure it is a Deftones song! I swear I've heard it somewhere but I couldn't remember the name... Thank you! :)
Would this work with some heavy metal distortion stompboxes for a lead guitarist?
Recently got one of these, but do not need another guitar amp. Can I use it for my Keyboard?
try it and see.
how much does it weigh?
65 LBS. That's about 29 kilos.
you can dude, it has a stereo fx loop on the back.
Hmmmm. lots of people seem to really love these. On the way to Jack in the Box, I saw a Peavey Backstage Chorus 208 at a yard sale for cheap. Dude wanted 50 bucks. Take $40? I was so excited. USA Peavey Teal. $40 as -is? Score! We skipped lunch. A Teal stripe! Thick tolex. Not lightweight. Feels old but solid. Was dirty with cobwebs. No footswitch. 40 bucks. Brought it home cleaned it up, restored it. Looking forward to gigging it. Need pedal toactivate Reverb? Help! No effex, but chorus is good. Played 22 cities in a pro cover band with a rack rig thru a Roland JC 120 I got new. The Roland started falling apart and was too big so I sold it and got a Fender. The Peavey and Roland seem miles apart to me EXCEPT the clean chorus is SIMILAR- the Roland better. The Peavey kicks booty for distortion. Good for metal, but I'm having trouble getting Blues and classic Rock tones. My neighbors are way uptight lately so I have not really opened it up at all to proper levels. Despite some comments below I seem to have trouble taming the beast that is Peavey USA Teal Stripe. Ha Ha wink wink. Played Marshalls, Mesas, many Fenders. I have faith the Peavey will hold its own. Cheers!
I had that amp back in the 90's. It was a good home amp with 2-8" stereo speakers. I don't think it would hang with a band but great to practice with. It takes pedals well and I miss that amp. Now I have the big brother. I will never part with it. Perfect for gigging. The secret to dialing in the "pre & post" gains is try small adjustments. If you want rock/metal, pre gain maxed, and post gain to taste for loudness. Tweek the pre gain to get your desired amount of "dirt", from blues up to metal. Enjoy!🎸
Mine does not have digital reverb
the low tuned part sounded muddy but i have a feeling it would sound pretty killer if you put a ts pedal in front of it and maybe backed off the gain a bit and play around with the eq a bit.
Holy smokes! That's a big heat sink! does the amp run that hot?
that combo is one of the most powerful around so yeah it gets hot
YES sir "LK" these run so hot that i had mine with a big 12inch fan to blow onto the back sides everytime i turned it on and by keeping that heat sink & other circuits Cooler..the amp won't tend to Load down or squat so easily especially when using a 7string or any other lower frequency strings
Hello people I have a Peavey amp like this amp Stereo Chorus 212 Scorpion a awesome awesome Amps I love it y’all 👋🏽👍🏾
I just bought one and was wondering about the pre amp out and in's on the back. I have a twin tube gfx1 and was thinking that it might pair up perfect giving the amp a tube tone. I am unsure about how to wire and which wires to use.
This is the teal stripped Peavey Stereo Chorus 212 that has the master volume ? I think that's the last one they made in the 90;s, which I've read is supposed to be the best one of the series.
Wich footswitch uses? Cheers
anyone have any suggestions for controlling the volume for just practicing in your room? this thing seems to only want to play at maximum volume
Turn the Master on about 2 or 3, Lead GAIN 7-9, POST to about 2.
Use a pedal with a level control ..MXR graphic eq pedal is also an option, and will help you sculpt your sound tremendously, as well as allowing you to lower the volume.
It will give you cranked tones at low volume and very full sounding.
excelente demo.... voy por el mio
Buying this same amp tomorrow for $50 and a mint Peavey tracer with hard shell case for another $50.
Oh my God, I wanna move to US right now! In Brasil, it cost almost. $500!!!
Also A very effective boat anchor.
Bro what's your Amp configuration?
