    Thanks for that calm voice commentary. I'm competing in two weeks,purple masters, and this nudge my head back towards the "learning/better yourself"-disposition. All the best wishes from Sweden 👋

      Good luck on the competition man! I have another video dropping tomorrow for my IBJJF European competition where I lost in the qualifiers. It’s Going to talk about what I noticed about the Meta game in IBJJF and how I will tweak my game to adapt to it. May provide some insight for you when you compete in 2 weeks. Feel free to tell me how it goes when it’s done!

      Yeah man it took a few minutes to get situated but I felt I was in an amazing position to go for the over under and it all worked out when I was finally able to hit it.

    You displayed excellent patience and methodical moments( position before submission). Oss..

      Yeah man dealing with half guard as a guard passer requires patience’s and pressure otherwise I’m getting swept for moving too fast. Ended up getting in great position for the submission at the end too. This match was pretty much a highlight of all the things I talk about when it comes to my Jiujitsu game.

    Very nicely done, love the persistence with your over/under pass. Way to play your game and that back take was fire!

      Thanks man! The way he pulled into guard set me up to get that over under pretty well. My game is pretty much old school and it was fun to see it work out at a high level.

    Great fight bro!! Solid solid solid skills!

    Really well done! It's great to see how by not giving up on your game plan you managed to solidify your pass.
    I should definitely work on my over/under pass, you make it look so easy and effective 😄

      It’s my favorite pass by and far. I like to mix it with the stack pass but only as a counter to someone countering my over under. Can’t wait to add the knee bar at brown belt to it and round it out fully.

    I'd love to see a brief tutorial on your over/under pass. I use it too but mine looks waay different. I'm sure mine could use some polishing.

      @@ursinhobjj Solid tutorial..Im gonna try that..thx..
      Once you are in the half guard and have your grip on the pants, consider a dogbar...even if you dont get the tap your opponent will often try to hide the legs and will give you the pass...

    Incredible commentary. Why, do you think, your opponent looked so lost? Was he set on a triangle trap and just didn’t let go of that idea even though you controlled his bottom leg?

    • @ursinhobjj
      @ursinhobjj  2 роки тому +1

      You know I don’t really know, I think he was set on trying to implement his game which I’m assuming was half guard with elevation and triangles based on his long legs. Maybe he thought my grip on the leg wasn’t as solid as it was cause he did try and shoot up the triangle.
      Or maybe it was competition nerves but right from the guard pull I didn’t sense any sense of urgency in his guard game nor any sense he was really trying to be aggressive with setups.

    It's actually really cool to see how methodical you are when your competing at the highest level compared to when your more flow rolling/going through positions at visiting gyms etc.! Question: Have you had much trouble with people trying to loop choke you from over under position?

    • @ursinhobjj
      @ursinhobjj  2 роки тому +1

      Honestly I have not had that much trouble with people trying to loop choke me from the over under position. Mainly because I bury my head really far into their hip.
      I have problems at times when I’m going in the moments going from being in top of half guard transitioning into the over under pass but I’m hyper aware of the choke possibility so I’m quick to back out and start over if that happens.

      @@ursinhobjj Thank you for the detailed tip! That makes perfect sense as I can see your head is buried very deep to the side of the hip.
