I watched The Kingmaker yesterday and I kept crying. I was so scared for myself, my family, and for my loved ones. What triggered me was when the teacher was tortured by her own students. As a future educator, that's terrifying. I don't think I'll stand by and get my students get brainwashed and so I'll try to correct the false facts and claims that they know at the expense of my wellbeing.
After watching it tho, I realized that it's not Bongbong Marcos that we should be scared of; it's Imelda Marcos. It's her delusional dream to put the Marcoses back at the peak of power. Bongbong is only a puppet to his mother's schemes.
I wouldn't even be suprised if the Marcoses pull another mummy stunt if BBM does not win and Imelda dies an (un)timely death. Not to push to be buried in Himlayan ng mga Bayani, but to be buried when a Marcos is back in the Malacañang Palace.

The thing I notice quite a lot from younger Filipinos is that they idolize Imelda as a girlboss. Of course, the mindset stems from idolizing fictional female characters proven to be badass and can hold their ground. Unfortunately, these are the same people who can't separate reality from fiction. Yeah, you can absolutely admire Azula because she's fictional anyways and there are many ways to call out her actions and deconstruct her as a character.
You can't do that with Imelda because she's a real person with a very real plan in mind for us. And that sends chills down my spine more than the thought of a cosmic being waiting to consume humanity at the end of all time.
