  • Biopsy Proven Cerebellar Astrocytoma: Patient presents with a heterogenous mass in the left cerebellar hemisphere. This mass lesion includes both cystic and solid components. The mass measures 4.9cm x 4.5 cm. This was resected in surgery.
    Cerebellar Astrocytoma's are a brain tumor most often found in children and young adults. The risk factors are unclear, however there is an association with inherited neurofibromatosis type 1. Given its location, these tumors may result in dizziness, lethargy, and problems walking, among other symptoms.
