This is new. From my research helmets don’t get any harm from being submerged in water briefly, unless you wanna soak it for days. What damage do you reckon that water causes?

and electronics though waterproof should ideally not be dipped in water
I disagree with you on this too, these devices are meant to survive a mere bucket with a little water for just a few seconds
