Hey Mike, Just wanted to ask you, the Canvas Tent you have in your videos, is it the one from Militairymart or not. If not, I would really appreciate a link. Thanks a tonne for the brilliant content, John
Looks like you be getting your 2nd UA-cam plaque. I love see you dad get 1 million subscribers. I even made a lamated pic to put on my fishing tent saying if you love out door camping and fishing then check out follow on youtube TA outdoor and TA FISHING SHOW. even done one for my every day backpack. 👍
👊!!! Notifications of you??? 😤. Lesson 1. 👩🏫. When a person write to you, and makes you feel good, there are something, that it calls DETAIL, that if you use it, is very pleasant. Really!!! The details serves to express to other person with its, that you aren't a shoe, that you have sensibility and THAT gives you sense in your life. Sensibility and sense!!! ☝️!!! So I give you a 💡to you because it's good for you a social progress. Your Wellcome!!!
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE COFFEE!!! You can see how happy, and proud, you are to have it for TA Outdoors. I hope your daughter grows up and wants to go camping with Daddy. It would be cool to see you two together, like you and your father.
That's not easy to do in Europe. Pretty much every piece of woods is protected, digging into the roots is illegal. I couldn't even do that in the military on army property. It takes a huge amount of paperwork and permissions to be able to do that kind of thing. He's lucky he knows someone who owns this privately, otherwise even the camping would be illegal in a public forest
Having a set time to release video's will definitely make it easier to spot the new ones, which will also make UA-cam more likely to plug your video's for you. That was a brilliant little shelter, I can't wait until I can have a night in the woods again. Keep up the good work 👍
The forest beckons us to go hiking, fills our thoughts. You can't stay at home anymore! You literally rip your jacket and backpack off the hanger. You set off on a journey where there are no people, and nature is especially beautiful. The smells of wet needles and last year's foliage are carried by warm air, which, like a powerful stream, passes through you. You can't get enough of them. Smoke-smelling camping food and clothing. The forest accepts us as we are. We are his guests, not his hosts. And we are grateful to him. How can it be boring for someone in this world, where you can look at the pattern of veins on a green leaf for several hours. Great video. 👍
Another great video Mike. Really like the blanket and light weight sleeping pad. The shelter was brilliant and looked really cosy. Congratulations on the coffee collaboration. You should design your own bushcraft knife! Look forward to your next video
Pinged you a like and a comment just to boost the algorithm for you pal. It’s actually been a we while since I’ve came across your videos but I’ve enjoyed heaps of them in the past. Hope this one hits for you mate.
I could only dream of doing this in my rocky terrain country. Its just so pleasing watching someone like you build these shelters regardless of how simplistic they are
🇨🇦❤️Thank you again for another thoroughly enjoyable video. I love going with you on your adventures especially because I’ve been on my own in lockdown for about fifteen months and counting. (I’m ok though because I’m kind of a solitary type and I feel badly for younger people that have missed so much). I follow a few people on UA-cam and some of them play a lot of music in their videos and that’s fine if I happen to like the music, but the fact that you don’t need a soundtrack is one of the things that I appreciate most about yours. The sounds of nature make beautiful music, in my opinion. Thursday’s would be perfect from my perspective because none of the other people that I watch regularly put out their videos out that day, so yours would give me something to look forward to each Thursday. I couldn’t help think of your wife when you spoke about getting some sleep. When my daughter was little, I vowed to myself that someday I’d catch up on the sleep I lost and now that I’m entering my late 60’s, I’m finally doing just that. I hope your wife is able to get a good nights rest from time to time. Also, you made me laugh when you mentioned the word carnage because living with a two year old is like living with a small and hyper drunk person sometimes. 😂
As a Brazilian, I do appreciate my coffee... And yours looks awesome! Made me want some! Loved the name and design as well! Hope it's very successful. And I believe this is my first ever comment (??) on your videos. I've been enjoying the channel for a few months now and have to thank you for the awesome content! Cheers!
Really good idea for the wooden frame for a shelter , tempted to do the same with a British army poncho next wild camp. Well done on keeping the channel fresh with new ideas.
No worries mate, really enjoyed this episode, so beside "ringing the bell" we will keep an eye out for your videos, and make sure that we drop comments as well as hitting the "thumbs up". Appreciate the time & effort you put in to making these!
Good to know there's another outdoors guy dedicated enough to make real coffee in the bush! With the aeropress, see if you can locate a steel filter. It allows some of the oils to go through that are caught by the paper filter. It gives a result a little closer to Espresso.
I’m very sorry to hear that your last video was not well received, because I absolutely loved it!!! In fact, I love all the ones of you and your dad building a village for your little girl!Pleeeeeease don’t stop making them!!!!! I will be soooo disappointed. ☹️ Maybe you could do a few camp craft ones in between the village builds???
I so enjoy a tent with a floor. Yours being open front back and bottom seems so much less comfortable. Not complaining at all. I love to see you and your videos roughing it. I love the buildings you make best. Keep up the great work.
I watch this from my XBox, but I got this up on my phone just to say I'm happy to see a fellow Englishman doing this, I haven't done it myself though I want to, other videos I watch are from channels like Stephen Wallis and Wranglestar.
Such a cute little house you made in 75 minutes! And that was the best visual of a personal perspective to making a jam knot! Best I’ve seen you explain it, and you were best to begin with. Your Da should be proud, you getting better and better. I have little moss or cramp balls. I may grow citronella or some such, to use fresh. Punk wood would substitute for cramp ball, yes? You really are an inspiration for this old lady!
Love your vids whenever whereever Mike - My 3 year old Daughter and I always watch them together, she often asks if "Mike has another house video" :-D Love everything you do!
Calming, cozying, and cheerful. I have been inspired and motivated by channels like yours to make quality relaxing videos to improve people's quality of life.🌈
I think you could have used just the bank line with a zig zag pattern from the lower side rail, over the top around the opposite side lower rack and back again. Perhaps with a loop on each rail. This would work I believe and keep your rope longer for reuse. Just a thought. GDB
I ever make it to the UK, I have got to shake your hand. Owe ya a big thank you. Youve been a huge inspiration. You were the first bushcrafter i came across on here some years back. Keep on keepin on bud.
Greetings from Eastern Ontario, Canada. Great video, very interesting shelter. Love the firebox, one of the best ever designed. Enjoy the time with your daughter, they grow up fast.
Thanks for sharing another great video with us Mike! Always love watching your videos and I’m always staying tuned for them. Would be awesome to see you hit 2 million this year and I think it will definitely happen! Best of luck with everything!!!
Love everything you build but when are you going to build another bushcraft camp? The first one was so awesome I’d love to see another one some day soon hopefully. Keep up the hard work and cool over nighters
I think the most fascinating part for me is the cramp ball fungus bug torches. I have kept an eye out for them every time I go exploring/hiking, but have yet to find one anywhere. I also love when you explain the different knots.
Great video again! I just think it's amazing how you are so quick to adjust the shelter for your needs and if it rains. I would have left it sagging lol
Really like your channel...I've got to say thanks for your 15 tarp setups video, I recently bought my first 10x10 tarp from Free Soldier and I used your video earlier today to help me setup the Adirondack style shelter. It came in handy and I think I did a pretty good job setting it up for my first try, thanks to your help! Keep it up, love your videos.
Great vid man, love the bug repellent idea, remember watching you make them in an older vid, I will for sure be using this idea on my upcoming trip, I'm sure it'll be a lifesaver when it comes to the nats, or as I call them the 'no chill bugs' lol, thanks for your vids man, I've learnt a lot from watching them. All the best. G
Don't worry Mike, I watched the last episode. I don't rely on notifications. In fact, I never get notifications. Since I am a subscriber, I daily see on my channel which channels I subscribe to have posted a video. I never miss any episodes. I enjoy your channel very much.
Congratulations on your coffee line. I really like the oilskin/wool as one unit. Great content. I have always called that knot you show at the end of the video a "blood knot".
I’m so happy you took the time to explain the knot and loop method for tying the wood together because I kept rewinding and zooming in to see how you secured the posts lol. By the way, I’m finally building my pallet cabin 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 ! It’s coming along nicely 😊
All 4 walls are up. I just need to attach the door and put the roof on. I’ve done it all myself! A friend is helping me cut the tin roofing tomorrow ❤️

I also do not do push notifications, since the day they introduced it that system has been either broken or used punitively. /subscriptions will list out 100% of the videos as uploaded by the folk I watch and that is good enough for me as well.
My boys & I have been binge watching your channel! My 8 year old has been asking to watch only bushcraft stuff for the past week or so. Btw I’m still getting all the notifications 😉
Get yourself a pack of reusable cable ties at 20-30 cm for making tripods etc. If your still keen of tying everything please consider using the clove hitch, with an overhand knot to secure (if need be). I grew up in a family of sailors and climbers. Every time I see people using this weirdo jam knot.. duh! Good knots are easy to tie under every condition, hold tied and can be opened after being under tension. There's absolutely no need to cut a rope ever. If you ever need a knot that does not need to be opened (easily) again, use a constrictor knot, which is a version of the clove hitch, which tightens without tension in itself. Besides that.. love your channel! Great variety of in and output.
I've been keeping the strings from the tops of bags of animal feed for cordage lately. Those strings are tough, never seem to break down, and I've already bought the things anyway.
@@tomgillespie195 Oh yeah, cuts right through the skin when you pull the wrong end! Seriously tough stuff. I was opening bags of chicken feed this winter and thinking what a waste. I wrap the strings around a stick to keep them neat and use them for all kinds of stuff in the garden now.
Usually I do not comment on videos but I‘m really sorry, your last video did not get pushed to all of us, so here‘s some traffic ;) really enjoy all of your content! Biggest blast would be another series with Paul, canooing and wild camping ... keep it up!
Hello there. You guys have some beautiful country over there. I live in Denham Springs louisiana in the U.S., our summers are usually temps in the mid to upper 90's with heat index exceeding 100 and humidity in the upper 90's to 100, that 77 degrees would be so welcome, our summer nights is like in the mid 80's. The english subtitles translate the pouring water into the aeropress as "applause" hahaha! how appropriate for your new coffee! Congratulations! I can't wait to taste it!
You should watch the TA Fishing Channel. It's called an Arbor knot. The guy who has it is a really good bush crafter as well. Ha! I'm telling your Dad on you mate.
That blanket looks the business. You wouldn’t want to carry it far but - 10Iber easy. Great to be in the woods with a fire - nothing better. I have a suspicion that lamb was called Lassie.....
Your notifications keep coming to me (USA subscriber.) I keep looking on your channel for new content anyway. Your setup on this camp was simple but effective. I was taught to use ground cumin, ground cardamom, salt, and ground peppercorn on the lamb. That is also tasty.
Thank you James, glad the notifications came through. Lamb is one of those meats that a a simple seasoning can make a huge difference. I don't tend to have it much so it was good to switch it up.
Congrats on launching your own coffee Mike! Video was awesome and pretty cool shelter idea 👌 Hope you get the 2M subs soon, well deserved 👌 speak soon mate, atb, Matt 👍
Nice shelter I have an canvas oilskin blanket similar to yours but have only used it under me. With fire season in Saskatchewan a campstove is a little safer than the twig stove but there is nothing nicer than a fire

You should watch the TA Fishing Channel. It's called an Arbor knot. The guy who has it is a really good bush crafter as well. Ha! I'm telling your Dad on you mate.
I have no one notifications of you... YET. CONGRATULATIONS. AND I HAVE THE🔔. NOT LIE TO ME, PLEASE.
Always love watching your videos!❤👍
A weekly video would be great!
Really simply done. Thanks for sharing your expertise
Great video. So relaxing on a Friday night. Keep it up!
Cheers Matt, yes let’s have a catch up soon bud 👍🏻
Fun vid! Thanks Mike. Informative as always. Congrats on the coffee!
Thoroughly enjoyed your video. I’d never heard of the bug torch before. I’ll look for your next vid on Thursday.
Thank you 👍🏻
Nice shelter I have an canvas oilskin blanket similar to yours but have only used it under me. With fire season in Saskatchewan a campstove is a little safer than the twig stove but there is nothing nicer than a fire
As always outstanding video keep up the great work from down Under 🤚🤚👍👍
Love your inventiveness!
Great Video, Mike! I wish I didn't have to give up tarp camping in the summer. Maybe this is a solution.
It’s something a little different. Harder to setup than a tarp but could be great in winter too for heat retention.
These videos are so relaxing. I need to get back out there
