i have tourney tz. they run very smooth and i face no problem in shifting them
Same here.....I have heard ALL salesman say nebulous stuff like "smooth/smoother" shifters when referring to higher priced bikes with higher componentry on them.
I have been using a decathlon rockrider 5.0 with tourney gears for the past 12 years and not only do they shift smooth, on long rides with the exception of road bikers, practically no one zooms past me on the highway.
A riders fitness level and well developed legs go a long way rather than just very expensive bikes.
Not saying that the higher priced gears are bad, but this constant craping on budget hybrid bikes is imo nothing but a marketing and sales push to force people to shell out way more money than actually needed.

Hi. I had an accident on my frog bike and ended up with scuff marks on the shimano gear shifters. I dont think the crash has affected the bike in any manner but looking at the scuff marks is devastating for me. Could you tell me someone i can get rid of these scuff marks? Also, can i get these shifter replaced incase the marks dont go

I am a 74 year old newbee bicyclist located in Kolkata and was using an AHOY non geared bicycle. Now I would like to add 21 speed Shimano gears to my cycle and would appreciate very much your help and assistance. Please provide a buying link for trustworthy shops selling (online or courier despatch) original shimano gears, complete conversion kit with 21 shifters, derailleurs, crank set, freewheel, Hub/axle etc.

Is it worth upgrading the gearing system in a entry level hybrid bike? Is yes, being a hybrid, the upgrade should be on mtb side like Altus/Acera or on the road side like Claris/Sora? What do u recommend?
Hybrid bikes are combination of MTB and Road. MTB components are good for hybrid bikes. Buy altus or Acera 8 speed and you'll see the smooth butter like shifting performance.

The gear pull ratio of deore and saint are same bcz both of them are 10 speed, so it is possible to mix it. And who said i dont have a singlespeed bike and downhill is a part of mtb not other category like road or tt.

Yes.. It can support 7 or 8 speed
You may but it is uncertain, sometimes the bike chain stay wont support for further upgrade like acera is a 9 speed derailleur which means gear sprockets will be more which will increase the width of the cassette. Moreover you need to change the wheel hub also.

it can be done. but single speed cycle has narrow chassis.. it can be widen by beating or cold setting( axle stretching). and gears need to adjusted properly. Chain should be narrow. so it will shift smoothly in the freewheel. parts required are freewheel remover,Wrench ,allen key, screwdriver,gear shifter,The derailleur,thin chain,. sorry maybe some parts i have forgotten to write
