Love hearing this song again! To those who may not know, it was introduced to the world at one of Edwin & Walter Hawkins yearly Music & Arts Seminars which I used to attend. I can't remember if it was in Oakland, Ca or in Los Angeles, Ca, and I dont remember what year it was - probably sometime in the 90s. But I do remember it was at a concert that they had at the end of each seminar. What I distinctly remember was the impact of the song on the audience as well as on the musicians and choir, as it was played and sung. A song of Praise with awesome lyrics as well as an awesome melody, that nobody wanted to end! They sang it over and over with folks shouting all over the place!! I will never forget it..

And it sound like he is just playing to impress himself. Now don't hate me it is just something that is getting way out of hand in churches. He is doing so much it is taking away from the song.☹
I hear you... but this channel exists to look at various approaches from top musicians. Everyone has a personal preference regarding "taste" but we should be careful about assuming someone's motives! Folks play out of their own vocabulary. In addition, there is no clashing here harmonically since the singers are en unison in this video
