When you're ready for more, discover exactly how to rapidly and accurately find the main points in any book. Here's the tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/fMcVofEtn2U/v-deo.html
Upgrading to no ads has been totally worth it to me. I have also become accustomed to being able to absorb video content sped up. I apply memory methods to a few different subjects: Spanish learning, and a several Bible topics. And i have made more connections between them thanks thanks to your suggestions, Dr M 😊
Thanks for sharing your experience with upgrading. I go back and forth with sped up content. It really depends on what it is and the nature of the goal. When I want to do anticipatory thinking and receive its benefits, normal speed is very key for me.
Thanks so much for your kind words and support. I hope to continue being worthy of this. Anything you'd like to see covered going forward on the channel?
Hi Anthony, I think how you deliver content on your videos is rich with information and interesting. Those surface people that want you to “get to the point” aren’t interested in deep learning! I appreciate your style it highlights your unique way of thinking and broad knowledge. ❤
Focusing exercises are great-time tracking tools. I keep a vest pocket journal, and several journals for each task, and index cards.Great information so useful for a scattered brain.
Probably advanced techniques for memorization using only mental palaces would be great@@AnthonyMetivierMMM. I use PAO for numbers but I fail to remember verbatim words for college tests, such as for economics or statistics. Pretty hard I guess, idk tbh
Thanks for this suggestion. The advanced material is always reserved for the Magnetic Memory Method Masterclass. Including ways to weave the 00-99 PAO System much more deeply together with advanced MPs and the Magnetic Images you can use within them. But I'll verbatim in mind for a future video, noting that this has been mostly covered already on the channel. It's quite simple at the end of the day: If you can memorize individual words reliably, then verbatim is just that, one word at a time to make sentences.
@AnthonyMetivierMMM for me everything is that, but more specifically I'm concentrating in reading books. Right now that book is How To Think Like Socrates, while highlighting important points and writing notes in the blank end pages as to summary and location in the book. I intend to take the essence from that and write it in my common place notebook. That's my current project. I am thinking of possibly adding some of these ideas to the process.
I think it's quite likely those factors are related to phasic dopamine. But also possibly to the insular cortex amongst other aspects of the brain. I thought a lot about going to study neuroscience so I could develop more knowledge in this area. But since success with memory techniques doesn't actually require this knowledge, I've learned as much as I can while humbly maintaining that I am not specialized in this area. I'm sure you can find a neuroscientist or related expert to ask, however. David Eagleman, for example, might reply on his social media if you ask him.
@@AnthonyMetivierMMM Exams!!! Recalling and retention of the information. I struggle with schedule for example: flashcards, notes, mindmaps, quizzing, brain dump. How to use it all. Is it better to just try different things with interleaving.
Thanks for letting me know. There's an abundance of this kind of training on the channel. Have you gone through this one yet about exams? ua-cam.com/video/5-S8e6uC_oE/v-deo.html Feel free to post any questions you might have on it.
@AnthonyMetivierMMM specifically in regards to attention span? I currently practice the Fire Kasina in the Buddhist Tradition and have found that to profoundly influence the strength of my attention span. If you covered techniques from either the West or East for such, that would be fantastic. Attention and Memory are the foundations of good mental hygiene. Your material is wonderful.
Thanks for this suggestion. I actually just interviewed Michael Taft, so material along these lines is coming soon. I also have a fair amount on the channel already. Have you seen this one, for example? ua-cam.com/video/UBRF1o6Enjk/v-deo.html
How to improve it (if it can be improved) and I wont it beacuse i wont to be smarter could you help me in that (And i read your page about working memory)
Thanks for asking. I have plenty, but have yet to make a video about it. Just finished writing about Tony Buzan's The Memory Book on my blog and will eventually get around to this one. Do you have any thoughts about it?
More information, more focused but also broader field. Vs same amount of lifespan. I will say i am scattered, but that is because my ambition to do things has expanded. add to the fact that everything is made cheap... breaks alot and needs fixing. And i have no attention span other than getting back to where i hoped to be working on what i started today.
Great that you have expansive ambitions. That brings me a fair amount of scatter to, I must say. But that's all the more reason why I focus so much on techniques like these. And the others I cover on this channel.
Hi Anthony, I know its annoying for me to just ask you straight forward for some of your time as you have so many videos I could watch on the topic, but If you could give me some reading comprehension and retention exercises and tips that I can practice with, I just so much want to learn already but have this struggle of retaining or understanding as I have spent some time away from reading, have a good day thanks.
The first exercise is reading. To complete it, let me know what you're going to read and why. For best results, type a minimum of 500 words explaining why the first book you're going to use to complete the exercises I have to suggest belongs on the list. An answer less than 500 words (or that even remotely betrays an AI text generator) will not earn the next exercise. Sound like a fair way to gamify what you could earn on your own by watching the videos you quite rightly acknowledge are already here for you?
@@AnthonyMetivierMMM Thats a good one, well, I am an uneducated adult, and am looking to start my journey of self education, I have attempted learning how to learn for almost a year now, but have made little progress, though I have discovered the root of my struggle and know what I must do to refine, but I don't have books, only pdfs, which I am hoping to learn from, but I was hoping I could get expert advice on crafting a reading plan, I know my reply is maybe weak to what you were saying, but the digital books I am hoping to read vary, but most being learning books that I want to begin reading, so I can learn, to go learn, regardless the subject, I grew up with poor education and nutrition so every time I have a struggle of learning I blame it on the possible irreparable damage done to my development as a child, yes this was my attempt at a 500 word reply for those special exercises lol but, sorry for wasting your time, I'll do my best to educate myself on your playlists, which I plan on devouring, thanks.
You haven't wasted my time and thanks for your reply. If you care to complete the "assignment" in full, I'll be here to consider it. In the meantime, the only place I cover digital books in any depth is my Read with Momentum program. Currently, there's a replay version available. It doesn't look like I'll have time to run the live version this year. But if I do, I'll announce it 4-5 weeks before it starts. But until then, you're welcome to look into the replay version and go through its recommendations for reading in a manner that generates much more bang for the time invested in it. In the meantime, I'm confident you can do a great deal to reverse the damage you mentioned. I had a rough childhood too, but have managed to turn most of it around. I'd say it all comes down to a combination of reading, memory training and writing. Speaking a great deal helps too.
I like it too... but one of these days I'm sure it will be gone. The less glamorous side that never appears on camera is already getting patchy... At least I saw my dad go through it, so I know what I'm getting into! ;-)

Not sure what you mean by "buzz factors."
