wow..thanks so much for posting this! i skated with fred dagher and terry caccia (2 of the featured skaters) back when we were working for road skates on venice beach in the late 70's.been looking for this video since then and just found this. fantastic.
Me too. One time me and Fred got mad high on lsd and after running out of scooby snacks we decided to murder a homeless guy. Of course back then the murder of homeless was more socially acceptable. I believe Terry went on to work with Huge Hefner for Playboy.
Great video back when that video was on show time cable years ago I was roller skating in skate parks in Tampa Florida I saw the Motomutt on the video I found them here in Florida and bought 7 of them sold 4 to friends and I kept 3 to myself I now live in Tampa
Do a side by side of a still image at 1:52, versus the photo for Val Kilmer's Wikipedia entry. He grew up in the area, and would have been around 20 at the time.
Would like to get permission to use some footage for a documentary on the Venice rollerskating phenomenon which began in 1976. Would appreciate if someone could put me in touch with the film maker.
Wondering if you ever got your documentary made. - I worked at Road Skates and skated for Team Road Skates with Beth Graham, Benji Conn, Terry and Maureen Marcellino, Mike Bright, Fred Dagher, Ticia Stucklen, Terry Caccia and many others. - Those were very special times for all of us, and seeing your documentary work on the era would be wonderful.

I miss it so much! I love the ending, it gives me a feeling in the pit of my stomach!
What a gem, this is magical footage.
Steve Bach's music is great, especially in the last segment. Truly electro-acoustic.
Thanks for preserving history!

Great video. I think the same person made a video called "SK8 OUT". Has anyone heard of it? I'd love find a good version of it; mine is poor quality.
