If you pause at 1:58, I lived in that red (fake brick) house when they filmed this when I was a student at the University of Cincinnati. The name of the street is "Ravine Street" That blue and silver minivan in the driveway three houses up the hill was my van. It was pretty need seeing them film this sequence.
Holy shit, I remember this movie when I was a kid!! Me and my brother got inspire and we both got rollerblades !! This was almost 20 years ago!!! How time flies
Jestem 84r i ten film to jedne z moich najlepszych wspomnień. Jeździłem na rolkach od rana do wieczora. Mój brat miał Rollerblades, ja Bauer fx1. Pozdrawiam z Polski.
Man, this brings back memories. Awesome film to watch. Every so often when I drive by a street that is on a major down slope, I think of this film. Great times 🥲
This movie and prayer of the rollerboys is why I started skating got to compete in a couple Semi-Pro competitions before it all came to a screeching halt end of the 90's
I've had a fragment of a memory about this movie for most of my life, but I couldn't remember the name of it. (Saw it once when I was like five). After 23 years I finally stumbled across it here.
Was just going into highschool the year this came out and loved it! I was a big skate boarder in the 80s and loved the movie Gleaming the Cube and this was that version for bladers in the 90s! Street hockey was the shit!
Sam Scrapla I’m so lazy. I didn’t read your entire comment haha Yea that movie a must see if one is into skating. Dude Have you seen Jonah Hill’s movie ‘mid 90s’ oh boy it’s a terrific creation
This movie always reminded me of the rollerblading version of the karate kid! New kid, new school, likes a different sport, not popular or rich, different than everyone else, likes the forbidden girl, needs to prove himself, gets bullied, becomes really good at something new, races bullies and wins to show he's a cool kid and earns the popular crowds respect!
You don’t realize how many hills there are in the Cincinnati area until you’re actually on top of one overlooking the city. I can’t recall the main part of town this was filmed in...besides the very ending by the stadiums of course.
I want to Congratulate! The Genius of Put This Awesome Track Music on this Video Movie! I thought it was the Original Trailer or Some Publicity of the Movie! It makes me search the Movie and Watch it!!! Thank you !!!
Let me tell you what stylin' is. The perfect session: A-Frame wave, ground swell, spittin' out salt water in your face, doing a little lip action move, a 360 without a bounce. I call it a Liquid Drano Wannabe Bullwinkle. I tell you no lie, my friends. It's a consciousness raiser.
Aggressive Inline was a big part of my youth. Came across your track while trying to finish the this part of the movie on UA-cam, lol. Ended pretty much where your track picks up the scene. Wasn't even mad that it was edited to format the music. Thanks for the nostalgia and the music. Added it to my workout play list. It'd be awesome if you did this track to Fighter jet footage...
I got this movie. Best blading ever recorded. Rollerblading Rocks! People now don't even know what there missing. I have both Airborne and Prayer of the Rollerboys movies: Jack Black, Seth Green, Shane McDermott, also Corey Haim & Patricia Arquette.
I recognize many of the places, but the race is jumping all over the city - east side, west side, downtown, etc. I guess it is like the Rocky montage run where it would actually be a 27 mile run to reach all of the places he went.
This is one of the best "B" movies ever made... and the people that went on to become famous... Jack Black, Seth Green, Brittney Powell... and helped out Edie McClurg and Patrick Thomas O'Brien... and also you cannot buy this in the USA ... they only have European versions that work in their DVD players( the last time i checked) cause i have been looking for a copy of this movie for YEARS!
Yep i almost broke out into a skating career because of this movie.... Until i tried sliding down a handrail. I dont remember much after that but i do remember regaining consciousness on my back to the wonderful words of my mother, " get yo retarded ass in this mf house before you break yo stupid ass neck! I told yo auntie not to get you them damn things!" Yeah good times.😂😅😂😅😂 The beginning and the end.
This movie is for sure a classic and anybody that saw this is legendary!!!
Right back at ya my 90s bro.

Skates seemed to be permanently attached to my feet in the 90s. I love that feeling of gliding along the pavement.
Holy shit, I remember this movie when I was a kid!! Me and my brother got inspire and we both got rollerblades !! This was almost 20 years ago!!! How time flies

You put your foot down and the engine goes louder and it goes mad into the 80s like like that and all you can do is say is power
Makes me nostalgic for blading down the hills of Istanbul in the 90s.
2021 and Airborne is still legendary.
This movie and prayer of the rollerboys is why I started skating got to compete in a couple Semi-Pro competitions before it all came to a screeching halt end of the 90's

Probably because everyone was doing 1800° and it seemed to easy before turning into a dizziness contest.
Love this movie "Airborn"! such a classic of my youth

I dunno how I didn't die as a kid trying to emulate this stuff. Love this wreakless classic
I think there were a lot of devils backbone races created after this movie came out.
Damn the nostalgia hit me soo hard with this video!!! Airborne is a classic of the nineties 🤘 I will be watching this film with my kids one day.
Was just going into highschool the year this came out and loved it! I was a big skate boarder in the 80s and loved the movie Gleaming the Cube and this was that version for bladers in the 90s! Street hockey was the shit!
We need more street hockey worldwide, dude... Very cool sport.
Sam Scrapla you gotta go watch Gleaming the Cube with Christian Slater
@@johnc1280 That's a childhood favorite. I use to watch Gleaming the Cube and North Shore all the time way before this.

This is one of my favorite movies ever and one of my favorite songs ever. What a UA-cam gift!!!
It just doesn’t get better than late 80’s through late 90’s movies. We really didn’t know blading wouldn’t end up being cool 😂
Watched this 1000 times on HBO
one of the best racers ever :)
never seen the move but I love how this is directed. so many rolling shots inches off the ground. fantastic.
This movie was the reason I started rolling blading. Dam, good oh childhood memories.
Watched it last year. It still kicks ass

Devil’s Backbone was no joke.

Damn I forgot all about this movie! 😍 this was my "Fast & Furious" back in the day 😂
Thinking about backpacking to this location with a pair of blades n train myself during the adventure just to do this with this song.
Best part is when Mitchell slides under the semi, notices he's gained a lead and sprints ahead to join the other two in front.
Kickass movie and skating too
i used to ride hills in my Lightning TRS skates as well. Good times, but same painful falls if your bearings are in bad shape.
Loved Jacob Vargas in this movie. If any filmmaker is watching this, please cast me in the remake.
