    Love the podcasts, looking forward to more.
    1) Have 45% in 12th physics and maths, should I be worried?
    2) Type rating after CPL, should I wait till airline vacancies are out to avoid high costs for keeping the rating current?
    3) Currently training in USA with Piper Cherokees and Archers. Would this be an issue in India/DGCA?

    • @ishi3113
      @ishi3113 24 дні тому +2

      45% shouldn't really be an issue tho air india ig has a requirement of 75 but you can still opt for other choices..and tbh it's better to have your type rating done cause these vacancies don't really have as such fixed dates waiting for them to come then doing type rating while also preparing for their exams could be a burden for you..get your type rating done looking at the current job needs..and your training in usa shouldn't be an issue as far as I am aware till the time you get your conversion done tho this would cost you some more amount..I would recommend you that while you are already there explore work options I the US itself the regional airlines will pay you fairly nd shift to legacy once u have good hrs.

    Hey guys you mentioned we can earn more if after few years of experience a pilot flies wide body but you didn’t mention the cost for wide body type rating..
    So the investment will be more than 1.2 cr if the pilot chooses to become a wide body aircraft pilot right?

    • @Chauhan-eb3dc
      @Chauhan-eb3dc 24 дні тому +2

      If The airline wants you to fly wide body you have to pay nothing but if you want to do type rating for widebody You have to pay by yourself

    Do you think the salaries of pilots increasing in accordance with inflation, or is it still what it used to be a couple of years ago?

    • @PilotPodcast
      @PilotPodcast  25 днів тому +4

      1.
      Pilot salaries vary with demand & supply of Pilots. Inflation has little effect on Pilot Salaries.
      2.
      Though Indian aviation is rapidly growing, and there’s unprecedented demand for air travel, keeping up and meeting that demand has been challenging for airlines considering operational limitations such as slower aircraft deliveries, availability of spare parts, grounding of airplanes due to engine problems, fuel prices fluctuations due to wars between countries, infrastructure limitations etc.
      3.
      Yes. Pilots salaries have remained constant in past couple of years. It is true.
      Also,
      That’s because with growth in aviation, there are more number of eligible pilots for respective role such as P1/P2.
      4.
      P2s make 30 to 50 LPA before taxes.
      P1s make 70 to 125 LPA before taxes depending on contract with Airlines.
      These are pay grades for top executive positions in most companies for employees with experience of 15 + years.
      Executive positions are limited in each company compared to requirement for P1s in airlines.
      +
      Relatively timespan to become a P1 is shorter in Pilot Career.
      Ultimately it’s a personal choice. What kind of life an individual prefers?
      Based upon that one should make career decisions.
      We hope that answers your question 😌

    I always wanted a career as a pilot and I finished my 12th in April this year but my parents couldn’t afford it,so I decided to take a drop and appear for IIT JEE. My only concern is that if I go well with this career upto a certain amount of time, will I be able to start training farthest at the age of 30? And will there be enough opportunities upto that point?

    • @PilotPodcast
      @PilotPodcast  25 днів тому +2

      In my opinion, Give your 💯 % to whichever career you may choose.
      Build a great career.
      Manage finances well, save a good amount of money. You never know you might start liking the career option that you’re choosing now.
      After doing all that, if you still have a longing towards aviation and pilot career, you’re always welcome here!!
      We wish you a great luck with whichever career you decide to choose for yourself Karan.
      Once again give your 💯 % and some more!!

      Nilay mentioned in the previous podcast that CPL openings can be expected up until the age of 37 at least now. Even if you start later in your life (30+) you will still be able to make it to the right seat soon enough (maybe in 3 years) and fly until the age of 65. The upside is if you pay for your own training with your own salary or savings after working in some other field for a few years, you will pocket your entire salary as an airline pilot without having to pay for any loans.! All the best !

    Is it okay to take LOAN from now till date of being pilot? I am in class 12th, thinking not to pursue graduation 🙏🙏🙏

    • @StudentPilot4Life
      @StudentPilot4Life 23 дні тому

      It depends on how your family finances are. Consider the time it will take between completing your training and finding a job that pays. Will you/family be able to afford the EMI repayments from personal funds until then?
      The loan burden will be massive. Consider all other avenues (family funds, scholarships etc.) before taking a loan. There are no guarantees, so have a plan B and manage your finances well. Good luck!

    • @PilotPodcast
      @PilotPodcast  25 днів тому +3

      In our view 29 is not too late.
      If you start now, you can expect to be released by 32 years of age and start earning as an airline pilot.
      That said,
      To recover invested amount you can assume 4 to 5 years. But this depends on your personal lifestyle preferences and how well you manage your finances.
