We were always told that we can't go shop or do things on the sabbath because we had to rest because God rested. @jonathanenamorado3775 The thief on the cross was literally dying with Jesus. There was no opportunity for baptism. If the Lord Himself got baptized before His ministry, then yes, we as followers should be baptized because we do have the opportunity. Especially if we're going into ministry. Just as the disciples did and the first church more than likely did as well. It is our outward declaration of being born again. Many believers think differently and perhaps this is a topic that relates to one's own personal relationship with Yah. The Lord did tell us to go make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Loved this message and it ministered to me deeply but the only thing I disagree with is when he said have that steak and wine but don’t get drunk. That could make, even if it were one person, stumble. What is drunk? When you feel the affects of the alcohol? When you can’t think straight, When you can’t walk straight? What exactly is drunk in moderation? God has said in His word that He’s not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a SOUND MIND 2 Timothy 1:7. But again, this Pastor has blessed me today with this message the Lord has given him to speak even though I disagree with that one thing he said about wine.

Great sermon. In the modern times Orthodox Jews can do work if it’s for medial emergencies for example if someone gets hurt they can take them to the emergency room or do what they can to saved alive. But dang l can’t imagine what it was like for ancient time Jews with all the regulations & rules.

@jonathanenamorado3775 I am convinced that God is not a man that he should lie, I put the verse where Jesus said he too needed to be baptized....and he strongly spoke out in his life about legalism within the community. Now I know Jesus being God wouldn't do something purely based on mans ceremonies if it was outside of the will of the Father. Also, I am not surprised that Jesus had the power to baptize people with his words alone for it is in his name and his blood that covers the debt so surely he can decide whose debt he is paying and the terms for it. This is why his grace is sufficient in my eyes, but I think if we think about the man on the cross, he believed and repented in that moment, a just God can count his tears as the water if he so pleased but just God who desires for everyone to be saved isn't going to condemn a man who is nailed to a cross and say Id like to save you but you need to be dipped in water first. Yes God could have unbound the man and sent him but then the story would have been a distraction from the idea that Jesus alone saves.
