THANKS, Meg ! Though I always enjoy hearing Don's voice & seeing him help you, you did just fine without his help on this latest episode of your always fun & informative UA-cam series. Your Irish Breakfast Tea sounds so yummy & you're again wearing those puppy pajamas that I like so much. I join you in congratulating Kassidy on achieving 1000 subscribers at her wonderful "Fantastic Tilly" YT channel ! Your black book being almost filled in a terrific tribute to how popular your Tea Time channel is. So many fascinating questions over the last few yrs. I know I speak for a lot of people when I say how heartwarming & inspirational your positive and upbeat attitude about life & aging is. You are a beautiful person, inside & out ! Being grateful for our blessings is one of the best ways to keep ourselves feeling "young at heart". And that's a great idea to have a watch party when your episode of the "Chucky" TV series airs. Hope you're able to make it happen ! May you & Don and all your loves ones have a splendid rest of your week ! ❤🤓👍

    Wonderful as always, Meg.
I'm living my 53rd year, and I must say the past 3 have been the best of my entire life. Age is a rubbery thing, like time. Time can feel fast and feel slow. Logically we know it's a set rhythm. Unchanging. Age feels the same to me. Parts of me are absolutely 53. Other aspects have no set age. And why do we attach behavioral expectation to aging? Foolishness. I am more fit, more active, better fed and more at peace in my core than anyone has a right to be.
So, age. It really belongs to the individual, doesn't it? "As young as you feel" has truth woven into it.

Thanks for the lovely congratulatory message, Meg! On behalf of you and Jen, it an honor to keep the fans “fed” (Slang term).
I do have a question for you this week: Can you tell us Tea Timers a little bit about your childhood pet hen, Coconut Zigzag?
I understand she served as an inspiration in one of your books, and as a fellow chicken owner, would like to hear more about your experience.
Speaking of chickens, Nelson sends his love.

No one is getting old here-just wiser and cozier. So says the tea timers law and so it shall be! It’s settled. …But if it needs to be said again, and it probs does- I think you’re the best in all of your manifestations. Thank you and Don for making this channel possible. It’s the highlight of the week every week and I can’t thank you enough. Unrelated, but maybe related…two things: has your kitchen been repaired (the hole) and when can we expect another exciting cooking episode? Oh! A third thing, will there ever be a part two to porcupine book? I read it and shared it and everyone LOVED it! We want more of Jack, Simon and Tessa!

    Hello Meg!
Today, August 5th, is my birthday. I've turned 41! My last birthday, when I entered the 5th decade of my life, was tough. I am not going to lie. 😅 I had very mixed feelings. And since then, the idea of aging has been bugging me. But your words really touched my heart. It was what I needed to hear. With all those terrible things happening around us on a daily basis, people dying so soon, so young, so unexpectedly, I totally agree with what you said. It is truly a privilege to grow old and be healthy and safe. Because not many have that. So thank you for this positive message!
PS. Why do we all need to look a certain way? What's wrong with being oneself? I choose to be me. And this is what I like the most about you. Staying true to yourself. You are wonderful and natural and real!

    - You and Don have good banter and you are so giddy with him beside you. We can tell how in sync you are as you talk.
Question: Do you read Don's books and does he read yours? If yes, do you each critique the others work?
    Or
Question: In your books, do you find that you base characters on people you know or have interacted with in the past?

Negativity toward growing old is a problem in the U.S. Other nations and cultures revere and respect the elderly. One should be grateful for getting old. It is a privilege denied to many. Have a wonderful week, Meg.

I think age is such a strange thing because it indirectly affects so many things around you. When I was younger the celebrations were, graduating, friends with their first job, first apartment, first car, weddings, etc. As I got older there were just fewer 'first_____'
If you want to feel younger....teach someone how to drive a car. If that does not get your heart pumping and so grateful to make it back to the safety of your driveway. Plus, I'm pretty sure the universe you will hold you in good regard for helping someone working their way toward one of their 'first'.

And its been a little *while* since it first Aired. Do you think that if Bomb girls was to be rebooted or continued nowadays that you and other people such as Ali and Jodie would be happy to come back and continue to act their roles?

Hi Meg! In response to a comment you just read about how getting older is sometimes perceived as a negative within our society - I both get it and I don't get it. For me, it has to do with my loved ones. I don't mind getting older at all. I love my 40s more than I ever did my 20s. But when I think of my mother getting older it will jolt me, simply because it means she won't be around for much longer. If anything, the decline of a loved one is the only negative to the getting older part of life. That aside, I think aging is a thing of beauty, and you look fantastic. I grew up on your movies. Psycho II, One Dark Night, Masquerade, and Agnes of God were frequent HBO watches in my house as kid - well, my mom didn't really know about most of them. But I adored all of them and your talented performances. Watching you now 30 something years later every week on UA-cam is like visiting an old friend, and one who's still beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Yes, your sister is also beautiful and looks amazing, but you have your own radiant beauty and should never look at it as anything other than joyous. 🎉

i also want you to know that you embody my ideal future, i’ve been through so much … i’m just tired. i want to go back home and live by myself with friends and family coming around to help me out with certain stuff… i’m 52 now and was never able to live on my own but maybe as a grow older i want have to actually live with anyone to function just a little bit of help here and there. or at the very least living assisted place… somehow you seem to embody that feeling i’m looking for as i grow older…💙😢

Hi The Stressed Teacher! Ms. Tilly tells it in a much classier cozier manner, as she does because she is a treasure and a delight…my understanding and retelling is: Meg was put into a nasty mess thanks to F. Murray. In short he was a chismoso hablador and embustero. 🐍
I guess To “F Murray” is to talk trash (spread bogus rumors) and cause unnecessary drama. So eF that guy for sure. In a way his name is good euphemism 🤔😊
